Kahit new material pa yan Ely, I will still listen to those songs. Sabado and 1995 didn't disappoint so why not try again?
Was thinking the same thing! It’s the sound talaga e. I’m thinking too what if mag labas sila ng album out if the blue? Articles will come out, people will be surprised. Fans will be happy and surely listen. Others will get curious.
I understand ely talaga. Less and less band releasing album ngaun. Sabado and 95 was good. But for an album, parang hindi.

Fans are not always reliable. Hindi kailangan ng mga legacy artist ang mga sipsep, kundi support na objective. Fans always want to be served something new, when in fact they just want the old, just to feed their nostalgias. Tama si Ely, on new materials by legacy artists: it's historically accurate.
I think yung Sabado and 1995 was that attempt. These songs are great but the traction falls short compared to their previous songs. Ely is absolutely right. Sa ngayon I'd rather listen to Apartel.

Iba kasi before, bago ka magkaron ng sariling album, it's either bibili ka ng CD o ng cassette. Andun yung saya at excitement pag patutugtugin mo na sya sa cassette player mo. Pagpasok ng 2000's, nauso na yung ida-download mo na lang yung song, meron ka na kagad buong album ng artist at ipplay mo na lang sa PC mo. Kumbaga nawala na yung thrill, lahat andali na lang makuha. It just shows na mas healthy ang music industry noon kesa ngayon. Kahit gumawa ng mga bagong materyal, sooner or later , with just a click, meron na rin kagad yung mga tao nyan. Sa gigs na lang babawi yung mga utak na gumawa nung materyal. Ely is right, GNR new album? I would say no. Mas pipiliin ko pa ring pakinggan yung The Spaghetti Incident dahil yun ang album na alam kong pinag-ipunan ko para mabili. Iba talaga yung impact ng music sa tao noon kesa ngayon.

I agree, ang laki ng effect ng imternet sa maraming bagay ngayon. Yes there's advantage and disadvantage pero ang sad lang na nawala yung dating culture na mas maganda sana para sa music industry
They can try. Hindi naman lahat ng nakikinig, pero may mga totoong fans naman eh. Yung mga totoo ang susuporta, yun lang kung fullfilling ba para sa side nila as artists ang ganung support.

As a fan of the Heads, totoo sinasabi ni Ely. Marami sa mga kaibigan ko ang hindi na naniniwala sa Heads'. So any new material from them is... meh. Sobrang hirap iengganyo ng mga fans to like a new material from a legacy artist/s. Parang ang hinahanap ng mga tao e yung dati pa ring "magic", pero alam nating hindi ganun yun. May factor din ang difference ng generation/era.
Though sumusuntok pa rin ako sa buwan na magkaroon sila ng bago. ALBUM pa nga sana e.
Sisid by Apartel and Monobloc by Pupil are my post heads favorites. Damn. Those songs brings nostalgia to me.
Gsto ko yang Monobloc. Mahiwaga at Ako Ang Dagat Ikaw Ang Buwan. Langit Express, TNT, Teka Muna, Paakyat Ka Pa Lang Pababa Na Ako, Sala, Bato, Pariwara, Gabi Man May Araw Din at marami pang nagawang magagandang kanta pagkatapos niya sa Eheads.

@@BertWithoutErnie ang galing talaga niya gumawa ng mga kanta. Bukod dun, ang gaganda ng sinusuot niyang mga damit, shades, glasses. Ibat-iba ang kanyang style ng buhok. Ang dami niyang itsura. Gsto ko rin ung attitude niya na suplado, di namamansin. Pero nagpapatawa kung minsan. Nasa kanya tlga ang attitude ng pagiging tunay na rakista. Mahahalintulad ko sya kina john lennon at kurt cobain.

Totoo naman sinabi ni Ely, na stock mga fans ng sa lumang tugtugin ng eheads yung mga kahuli hulihang album nila di na sila masyadong tinatangkilik. Paano pa sila magkakaroon ng inspirasyon na gumawa ulit ng album nyan kung ganun din mangyayari.

Yung eheads kasi sila yung bandang interesting eh, kumbaga curious yung mga long time eheads and die hard fans (like me) kung ano yung ilalabas pa nila na mga kanta, kung mas better na material ba sa kumpara sa old albums and songs nila, just like SABADO and 1995 they're really really good songs man and i think those two songs ay mas better pa sa karamihan nang mga kanta nila dati sa mga old album nila. Sa tingin ko if they will give it a try a new Eheads album will be a hit!

Maganda yung point ni Ely, die hard Beatles fan ako pero hindi na ko nakikinig sa new albums ni Paul McCartney. Laging nasa plano ko pero di ko naman ginagawa. So naiintindihan ko yung side nila na malaking risk nga naman yun. Pero feeling ko pag nag-release sila ng new album papakinggan ko pa rin hehehe.
