Thanks, you've had the most in depth review of any printer model I've been researching! Really helps with narrowing down the choices. I appreciate that you showed PHOTO examples in real time, and stated what paper types it should be able to handle. I've been looking for a printer that has all in one, good photo quality, and can handle card stock.

I bought the same printer based on your review, thank you, but I have a question, after the printer printed the page the tray remains out and the faceplate remains in open position all the time, is there a way or setting that makes the printer to close the tray and faceplate by itself after the printed page was removed? I hate that I have to push the tray in by hand and force the faceplate all the way down, I am afraid I am doing it wrong and break it, if you could help me it will be greatly appreciate.

Thank you for this! What are the dimensions of the printer itself. I am trying to find a printer that is compact in size (the surface I'd like to put it on is 14"x18"), but also higher quality, as I'd like to print fine art prints with it. So far, this looks like a really great option!
this is NOT compact its pretty big!

Trying to do something as simple as change to 5 x 7 paper to print a photo. Have-not thrown the printer the pool yet but am very close to doing so, after unplugging it of course. The instructions on line are useless.
How do I factory reset this?
I got mine today from MicroCenter at $49.99, it seams like the price keeps dropping for this model.
print document slow, 6 ink cartridge is not inexpensive. Unless u print high quality photo all day there is no draft saving ink mode. Think about it some only come with 4 or 5 catridge mean u have to replace 6 after month if unuse.

Sorry this is a silly question but where does the paper go in the "rear tray"?? It says there's no paper in the rear tray but for the life of me I can't find where it goes...

Thanks for your quick reply! I don't think I explained properly.. I do know where the paper goes in the rear tray but most times I click print and it prints just fine (I don't have any paper in the back tray) and sometimes it will give me this error message and ask that I put paper in the rear tray. I don't ever want to use the rear paper tray. I never print pictures I only print paperwork for school. Anyhoo.. no biggie! I'll just have to print from the year once in a while haha! thanks again for your help!! Wish I knew how to use this machine better. I can't be bothered to read the instruction manual... lazy ;)
the manual won't help even if you did read it, at least from my experience. I too am having trouble with paper size, printer tray etc. Horrible instructions. Almost like Apple engineers wrote the manuals.
@@smbruening If you go to the windows settings/devices/printers/ select printer and manage and click printing preferences. You will be able to just select in options paper source to bottom tray.
Well now that the video is two years old and so is my TS 9020, it has failed miserably. It is constantly saying the paper tray is empty when it is not. It is constantly saying the paper is jammed, when it is not. Sometimes it just runs paper through and nothing prints at all. Sometimes I have paper in the back tray and it tells me there’s no paper in the front tray and doesn’t even recognize the back tray. It takes me 10 to 20 minutes sometimes to print a single page..

That's rather inexpensive compared to many inkjet printers. I'm glad to hear only $81. $100+ is really the standard for anything as high quality as this.

Yeah seriously. Who the hell is buying ink from the manufacture these days? Amazon sells third party ink for next to nothing...
This is why I hate Canon Inkjet printers.... 47 seconds from starts to say "Printing" in the display until it take in the paper............47 Seconds...................

Customer service at 1-800-OKCANON. Their customer service in my experience is excellent. Been using Canon printers for 10 years now.

What a piece of junk! The touch screen is nice, and the design is nice, but as a whole, this printer is crap. As is the 9120. It may be inexpensive, but the ink is not. The only advantage of the 9020 over the 9120 is that there is third party ink available for it. It is nearly impossible to print edge to edge unless you use the rear feeder. And when it prints, the front opens up and the tray comes out, just like mouth of the xenomorph in Aliens. Right now I'm trying to fix a problem with the print head (error C000) and I feel like chucking it out the window.

Forget anything advance like trying to print off photos I wouldn't dare do that with this piece of junk. I just want eBay labels I dread every time I sell something cause I know I have to go in and deal with this printer!!!
