I recently just saw this and I have to say this is easily the best adaptation of one of my stories I've seen. You actually made the effort to put together your own cast and make changes that really make it work. The main one being having no narration and allowing the visuals to tell the story.
While I do wish you asked for permission to do this beforehand and I did make a rule a while ago about no longer allowing adaptations, It did still make for a nice surprise and the fact a lot of effort was made here, I'm happy to not worry about this one.
Overall, well done! You should be very proud here.

Dude, I've never looked up to a TTTE youtuber more than you, so keep up the good work!
The worst is when engines are sent for scrap for no reason at all; It's not as if a newer, better engine came along to take their place, just that the needs and policies of the railway changed, mainline diesels made to do their own shunting, loco-hauled trains displaced by multiple units. The old engines are still useful, still fit for purpose. Just that someone in a board room decided they could save money by eliminating said purpose. There's nothing wrong with the engines, just that they're not needed anymore, and it would be too expensive to keep them, even mothballed on a rusty siding.
And it's not that they're wrecked beyond fixing either.
its simple Time goes on and anything thats found to be either obsolete of flawed indeed gets either replaced by something new or if deemed to be beyond repair or too old to be saved or improved is just thrown away to be scraped to make way for something new to be put in its place. This not only now true for steam engines bot Diesels too.
We cant its the british railways they have the stuff to destroy history engines
Actually, it’s worse when it is an engine who is nonfaceless. Being scrapped for any reason nonetheless! It also is harsh when an engine doesn’t realize an engine is scrapped
That entire first minute or so was just brilliant. Don't get me wrong, I love engine banter, but I do really enjoy it when the people of Sodor get some good lines too. And the freaking door creaking noises when James was giving the death glare to the goods train/the poor bloke? Incredible. I love it
I've found this to be less creepy and more sad, really. Being condemned to an inevitable fate like that.
This is probably why Victor Tanzig's setting has laws about scrapping sapient machines.

Apart from the Shunters voice almost being muffled out by the music during his "progress affects us all"
speech, this adaptation hit just as hard as Narrow Gauges original video. Well done.
The way the video went silent when it said "time is up" with the diesel's corpse in the background was eerie as heck, this is the greatest Horrors Of The Rails adaptation i've ever seen, and probably the best Trainz video i've ever seen

That was the greatest opening I have ever scene in a Thomas production, I died with laughter. Well done on this adaptation, everyone played their part spectacularly, the pacing was amazing to, the choice of music, the flash back everything, really well made. I loved this just as much as hissy fit keep up the outstanding great work. also god damn it, was all I could say when I saw the station name on the other railway. you owe me a new cup to.

Rewatching it for a fifth time, and honestly, dude, I really am surprised by how you've managed to make the story that was very creepy to begin with, be even more emotional! And not to mention how you've managed how to sneak comedy in as well!

how am I both laughing and terrified at the same time, but in all seriousness this was great. Though to be completely honest with you Issy considering the work I’ve seen from you in the past and the talent I know you posses. This felt a little rough around the edges tbh, perhaps a bit more sound effects to give an unsettling feeling and more use of music from Myuu, but I honestly can’t complain about what we got lmao. Well done !!

Overall I really loved this adaptation of the story. I like how towards the end, the cutters came up towards the diesel, and at first he looked worried…….but he just accepted his fate, knowing he could not do anything to stop it. It really captures the depressing and ruthless side of change and progress, how people care for nothing or no one if it’s all in the name of efficiency

Ah yes 'Oh Mr Beeching' I enjoyed that show so much. That once I was across the estate and realised the show was to come on, and ran across the estate a good fifteen or so minutes to get back to see the show.

I think the diesel is a model of Spamcan. While the engine behind him is an OC called Raven, Idr who owns Raven.

A great adaption that is by far the most chilling one I've seen!! No narration just dialogue and visuals. I do like the beginning with the Oh, Doctor Beeching intro!!
Tbh when diesel was talking about the engines and when the electric engine came into view, it gave me Tobias and the half pariah feels.

I don't know why, but a ttte trainz video with quiet voice acting and no music (excluding the tv) is so perfect. It's fitting, since this is the last video I watch before I go to sleep.

I just watched this, honestly I feel like this was a way better adaption of the original story, I found it hilarious that BoCo used the Keemstar scream when he crashed, also I like how you only showed the shunter diesel's scrapped remains but left "The Diesel's" fate ambiguous.

Damn that was dark...but in a way, I was glad to see the diesels finally get something and the steam engines get the win.
James would go home, telling the engines about the diesels being scraped, all the engines would laugh and say good riddance, but then stop to see James sad cold look on her face, James told them the truth... And the engines all soon felt sorry for the 08 shunters

oo i like this one the best so far! the only critisism i can say is sometimes the conversation switches too fast but overall is the best of the adaptations!

I'd love to see an adaptation of this story where the railway needs a new engines to work in the smelters or something. Then, when James sees Diesel and the others, he brings Diesel and the reverse faced class 08 back to Sodor, give Diesel a redemption arc. Have Sir Topham purchase him from BR after he's proved himself a changed engine

I thought this was a good adaption. Although I do have a couple critiques:
- The tone at the beginning (which is shown to be comical and jokey because of the goofy sound effects) doesn’t match the tone set for the rest of the story. It’s really off-putting
- Second, I don’t see why Diesel needed to appear here. His presence didn’t add anything to the overall story. He could’ve been replaced with another random shunter and things would’ve played out exactly the same.
Other than that, a solid adaptation overall
