@The Hype He is talking about the fact those calcs have only megabytes on memory. I have an old TI 84 Plus (the one with 8 bit cpu and monochrome screen) and it has 480 kb of memory. There is a GB emulator for it, but the Pokemon Red ROM is bigger than the whole flash memory

I remember being mystified by this when this video came out 5 years ago. I watched it so often, and asked everyone to get me one of these calculators for every birthday since. 5 years later, I bought it off the target shelves for 20% off. Thanks for this, Mike. @The Hype He is talking about the fact those calcs have only megabytes on memory. I have an old TI 84 Plus (the one with 8 bit cpu and monochrome screen) and it has 480 kb of memory. There is a GB emulator for it, but the Pokemon Red ROM is bigger than the whole flash memory

Fun fact: The calculator is actually based on the game boy. John Calculator was at an interview with sega of America and asked the Miamoto how they made the Gameboy work. He said and I quote, "Uhh, I thought about the natives on south America and their abacases, and how it could do MATH. So I made a device to do the math in 3-D!!!!," (Miyamoto 23). So then John calculator drank a bunch of MMS and got high as shit. When the high wear off he had a calculator in his back pocket, or his prison pocket if you know what I mean. HAHAHA.
