Welcome back. Quick question I know why you drop the apex of the dart away from the bust point but why do you offset the punch hole by 1/2" from the apex of the dart?
I too,am happy that you are back showing us all of your “ tips and tricks” which are super wonderful. They remind me of the elective class I had in college ( Pattern drafting and Fashion Dedign ) ; however, I obtain a little more clarity on some important areas like this one ( mid- shoulder dart ) . My difficulty was drawing in the seam allowance and remarking the bust point. I noticed though that and if I am not mistaken, did you mark the straight line adjacent to the fold as the “ Straight of Grain” ? This is important for those of us who are new to pattern drafting and is also helpful in knowing something about fabric “ stretchy ness “ awareness. I purchased your book “ A Passion for Fashion ” and I am very happy with it. I add notes to my notes and use an old Barbie that my sister gave to me as my “ mock- model “. Thank you, Nick . ✨ 8:07
