I’m an ophthalmic assistant and it’s so satisfying to check a patients vision on their 1 day post op, the joy of just being able to get up and see. Congratulations Alex! Happy for you!!
Hey is this a permanent fix or temporary? thanks in advance for answering!
I’ve been wanting to get lasik, but I keep getting told it’s only temporary and that I have to keep going back later in the years. But I need someone in the field to inform me. I’m really blind I have the thick lenses lol. So I really want the surgery.😖😩😫😫
I was told by my doctor that possibly a few years down the line I would need a touchup and he was right three years later I needed to get my left eye retouched. It’s been five years since I first went and my vision is still really good I would say almost 20/20 I was pretty blind so I highly recommend it! it’s worth every single dollar and you will not regret it just make sure you choose a good doctor. Some places offer a free consultation and a payment plan it doesn’t hurt to talk to someone and check out your options. I am the fourth person in my close family to have gotten Lasik and I know at least 15 people personally who have had Lasik and are all very happy with the results.
@@leticiavillarruel8557 from what I’ve seen I think a lot of it has to do with how old you are when you get it done. At some point you may need a “touch up”.
@@yajairavillalobos9075 at some point you’ll need a touch up, how soon that will happen idk you definitely want to go in for a consultation and talk with a doctor. Do some research, find a good place that offers free consultations. Get all the questions you have answered so you can make an informed decision. I have had patients come in that were -6.00 or worse and they come for their 1 day PO seeing 20/20 or close to it and they are simply amazed to be able to just open their eyes and see. So I recommend you do your research and find a good doctor.
I’m glad everything went well for Alex.Alex is so lucky to have you as his partner Les.Y’all are such a beautiful couple and have a beautiful family growing.God bless you both
Les making Alex’s appt is such mom thing; love it 😌🫶🏼
Yes I feel we start being like that once we live with our significant other 🙂
@@rubytorres3336 definitely & vice versa 🤗
I feel Alex is so calm in every situation! I need this energy 😌🫶
I’m so happy for him ❤️ Glad he’s doing well…
Prayers for a speedy recovery 🙏
This is amazing! I am a lasik surgical tech & I love seeing when patients can see without any correction. Yay for Alex!! Congratulations 🎈🍾🎉 keep using your preservative free drops & you’ll do great!!!
It’s been 2 years that I got mine done and omg best decision ever , life changing I can see a whole new world now without worrying about my glasses getting foggy and my eyes super irritated because of the contacts . Keep your eyes lubricantes and always carry you’re tear drops with you everywhere .. wishing a speedy recovery Alex !!!
Dr. De la Torre did my surgery too! Best decision I’ve ever made. I’m 9 month post op and vision is PERFECT! Congrats Alex!
Can I ask, what was your prescription like before the surgery? I’m really negative in both eyes.. I’m scared I won’t even be able to see with the surgery! 😫
What does the surgery feel like? What’s the pain like
fr how is the pain. 😭
@@alondra8541 wasn’t painful it’s just discomfort like little burn sensation or irritation
@@bibian2701 I had myopia and astigmatism. Most people have one or the other. I was BLIND!! Dr. De La Torre did my eye surgery too. Best decision ever. I’m 20/20 now.
I love you guys!! Hoping for a speedy recovery Alex!! That is so life changing 🔥🔥
I’ve always been scared to do this thank you Alex & Les for sharing this with us & so much detail 🥹❤️! Love this !
That’s so Awesome that he is feeling better and definitely life changing. My husband had eye surgery like 13 years ago and he loved his results. Now he’s 42 and just needs reading glasses 🤓 Blessings to y’all 🙏🏽🫶🏼
Wishing him a speedy recovery ❤️🩹.
Glad to hear everything went great! Alex is me lol I started with contacts in the 8 grade, was never able to wear glasses. I got my surgery a year ago. The burning sensation is definitely the worse part other than that is pretty easy. So worth it! Very happy for you! 😊
Omg thank you for taking us with you to the surgery and all the information you gave us. It's really helpful! Been in the same boat wearing glasses since 6 grade. Thats like 20 years. Blessings.
Congratulations Alex!!! Sooo happy for him !! Such an amazing feeling from the moment you first open your eyes and you realize you don't need glasses and never again will ❤️❤️❤️ I got it done 2 years ago and honestly still feels unreal but I love that I did it!!! It's a whole new person bcuz wearing glasses really sucks
Love your videos. Keep up the great work. Thank you for the skin care routine recommendations. 🥰🥰
I would love to have this surgery! Congratulations alex. Hope you can see your bright future!! Much love! 🥰
Aww so happy for you guys! Praying for fast recovery
Thank you for sharing 🙌🏻 I love how detailed you are les and I’m happy he’s recovering good.
Praying for a speedy recovery for Alex 🙏🏻 Much love to you guys 🥰 God bless you today and always 💕
100% life changing!!! My hubby also got this surgery done and loves it! Since the moment he opened his eyes for the first time after surgery he was in Awww. Being able to see clearly without glasses was crazy to him. He was in disbelief how big of a change it made instantly. Hopefully one day I am able to also get this surgery done 🙏
How long hs it been since got it done?
@@kates.r1663 5 years! Not one regret. Still loving it. 😊
Can you please share Doctor? I'm looking for one.
@@luperomero2623 we live in Oregon and went to Lasik Plus. Great customer service.
I’m 1 month post op since my Lasik surgery and I am obsessed. I got my first pair in 5th grade too ☺️ I never used contacts because they were always super uncomfortable for me but I LOVED my glasses. LASIK was always in the plans for me, I’m glad I finally did it. Congratulations Alex!
soo happy for him, hoping for a speedy recovery ❤️🩹
Cant wait to watch this! I’ve been wanting to do this for myself for a while, but am scared and just don’t really know about it. Thank you guys for always bringing us along with y’alls life experiences 🤍
Omg i was told not to watch any videos because it would change my mind… but there I go day before my surgery I’m watching videos 😂😂😂 honestly go for it! It’ll be the best investment you do on yourself!

So lucky ! I know his struggle so happy he got this experience 💛
The feeling of seeing perfect for the first time again is amazing! The procedure is fast and easy! Es más el miedo que se tiene que lo que se dura! Congratulations!
Yay, so happy everything went well with Alex! I've been wearing glasses since 4th grade like Alex and I'm over contacts/glasses. I have my surgery scheduled mid July and I'm so excited but nervous for post op now! Thanks for sharing, love yall!
I love that for every surgery you guys go through you list the steps and prices. I know what to expect. I love it. Thanks so much.
Alex made me want this more then I already do!! Now I’m gonna look into it asap😌 love the new vlog
Prayers for a speedy recovery 💙💙🙏🏼 love you guys!!
So glad everything went well!!! You both are such a cute power couple and so nice to see you support each other with everything you do.
I’m glad everything went well for Alex. 🙏 I too have been using glasses 🤓 since 3rd grade (I’m hella blind 😩) I’m hoping to one day be able to get this procedure done too! I’m tired of having to wear glasses 24/7. Thank you for all the information. God bless you both!
BEST DECISION I EVER MADE!! Definitely life changing for someone who has been wearing correction since a kid. So so happy for you Alex!!! Eye drops will be your besties for a while now!! 😜
So awesome and nice to hear that you don’t really feel anything or that it doesn’t hurt. I’ve had to wear glasses since 3rd grade (have astigmatism). I am now almost 29 and tired of glasses/contacts. Thanks for the update/review. 🤗
Thank you so much for explaining the process and sharing this information with your viewers!
Really considering getting the surgery myself..Thanks for taking us threw your experience..love you guys❤️🙏🏻
My boyfriend had same surgery, it was definitely life changing for him. Glad he made it through Alex
So happy everything went well, thanks for sharing, I’ve been interested in doing this surgery for a while now. You have inspired me to look into this.

Congratulations Alex, I'm glad everything went well. Thank you for sharing your experience! I would love to have this surgery done for my son, he has been wearing glasses since he was 1.
Those few hours of pain are definitely worth that forever great vision! It feels so good being able to see how beautiful nature is!!💙 it still makes me cry sometimes♥️♥️
I love not having to wear glasses so I’m sure it feels amazing to get that surgery done and be able to see again! Glad you are okay and everything went great! Love you guys you always looks so happy healthy and beautiful 🥹🥰

Doooo it!!!! Financing is available! I got mine done 24 months zero interest ..
Lasik is definitely life changing! I could relate to Alex my glasses were superrr thick and vision was horrible excited for him to be able to experience 20/20 🙏🏼
Alex story line is just like mine! I've been using contacts FOREVER! lol Hoping to one day be able to to this for myself 🤞 Thank you so much for sharing this experience with us!❤

That's where I got my surgery!! Dr. De la Torre and his staff was awesome! I was so nervous and they helped me feel better. And Alex is 100% right the burning is AWFUL, exactly like soap in the eyes 👀. But I don't regret it at all!! Congrats 😊
Beautiful couple, am glad everything went well!
So happy for him! Thanks for sharing you’re experience ❤️
Love this! I’m also blind with the vision of -8 in one and -7.75 in the other with a stigmatism so I know the feeling of being blind. The nose rash is from nose sweat and the constant wiping the sweat off starts to burn your skin when your always rubbing it off. And in this Texas heat it only gets worse but so happy for you Alex. I really need to look into this because I’m blinder than a bat!! Lol.
Sin duda alguna Alex fuiste bendecido con una gran mujer que te apoya y quiere lo mejor para ti!. Yo también uso contactos desde hace años! Y me gustaría algún día poder hacerme esa cirugía tan costosa 🥲
Happy for you Alex! 😀 We definitely need a year update to see how it goes and if anything changes.
congratulations 🎉 I hear it's a good surgery! you guys are such an amazing family !
Glad everything went well. Yeah I’ve heard stories where after surgery they still don’t see any better from one eye. My son had a different eye surgery where they make a hole in the eye and put an actual lenses behind the eye ball. He sees way way better. He says like digital. He like you was literally blind since about 2nd grade. So many years of glasses, contacts and solutions and now he has perfect vision. Hurt my heart that at Marine Corps graduation he couldn’t wear his glasses and did everything by touch. Wait till it all heals you’ll be good as new!
I’m excited for Alex ❤️❤️ and hoping him a fast recovery 🤍🤍🤍
Omg…watching this video and hearing Alex talk about how bad his eyes were reminded me of my surgery. I started wearing glasses in 3rd grade but didn’t have my surgery until I was 46!! Wish I would’ve done it sooner. I sympathize with Alex not being able to see the big “E” across the room because I couldn’t see it either but the immediate results after surgery were amazing!! I was a little jealous of how good he was doing right after because I couldn’t open my eyes without assistance for hours after. Then when you showed his struggle, I was lik
Excited for new video! I so want to do this also…but I’m scared!! Thanks for an insight on the process.
So glad he’s doing well so far! Makes me want to get it 😅
Love y’all ❤️
So happy for Alex 🥺 hoping for a speedy recovery ❤️🩹 I hope I can one day do this I hate having to wear glasses it’s one of my biggest insecurities 😭 love y’all
Alex hope you recover fully soon! And Les girl you still glowing !!! And lastly Baby G you are just sooo precious 💙
One day I'll be able to pay for this surgery for my mom 🥺 I'm glad you helped your husband to get it done ! Saluditos desde San Antonio TX 😇
I had mine done last may & omg the after pain/burning (2hours after surgery) ijuesuuuupinchimadre lol the worse! But definitely worth it. I felt better too after I took a nap. I’m glad everything went well for Alex!!
Been waiting for the new upload ! 🙂 Hope your recovery is going well !!
Thank you so much for doing this , I’m really thinking about getting this done.
I’m glad everything went well! I’ve thought about getting the surgery too but I’m nervous especially after seeing how uncomfortable he was with the eyes burning. I know it was just for like 2 hours but ahhhh. My anxiety is like no lol
Having lasik was the best decision I ever made! Definitely keep those drops handy by your nightstand because the dry eye is real! Especially in the mornings. But still don’t regret getting mine done over 10 years ago.
Has you eyesight gotten bad again? I have heard that it could get bad again
@@kates.r1663 yeah I have heard of some people needing to do it again but I guess I’ve been one of the lucky ones that are still going strong 10+ years later. I also did the PRK procedure which is a little different than just lasik. So I also didn’t have the “halo” issues that some people get later on also.
@@leoleti2534 how bad did you have it? I have to like Alex have my glasses on 24/7 or else it super blurry plus I have astigmatism
@@kates.r1663 oh I was almost legally blind doc said if I would have waited any longer I wouldn’t be a candidate anymore. I would recommend it for sure! Look into PRK procedure.
@@leoleti2534 thank you I will I have been looking at it
I’ve been debating to get lasik this certainly gave me comfort so thank you guys for filming and explaining !💓💓
I love how you guys are each other’s support system and y’all push each other and want the best for each other 🤍 los amooo
Best decision I’ve made (:
Paid $700 in Mexico & it’s been 3 years since my surgery and results are 10/10 👏🏼

I really want to get this surgery soon but I’m scared.. thanks for this video!
Prayers for a speedy recovery 🙏 ✨️ ❤️
Congratulations Alex on 20/20 vision! 🥳 Seeing the surgery was just fascinating even though I’ve seen the surgery be done before lol but this video did give me some comfort on possibly getting LASIK in the future 🔥✨♥️ Sending you guys love 💕
I got the surgery as well a month and a half ago. I cried when I could finally see! I had horrible vision. I was legally blind w/o glasses : contacts. I’m still recovering. I actually had to get PRK( same thing as lasik ) but it’s better long term. Just longer down time. So happy, I got the surgery.
Man PRK is more painful than lasik!! i got lasik and 3 years later on my right eye i had to get PRK. the recovery of PRK was so hard
What is the difference between lasik and prk?
@@mariaygonzalez83 Both LASIK and PRK use a laser to reshape the cornea, the clear outer layer of your eye that focuses light so you can see clearly. But they do it in slightly different ways. LASIK creates a thin flap in the cornea. PRK removes the outer layer of the cornea, which grows back over time.
That is life changing, to make the discussion to have any kind of surgery is life changing anything can happen. But Thank you Jesus every thing came out good. It's weird having anyone mess with your eyes. Looking good Vlexing 👍
I'm glad everything went well for Alex. Thanks for sharing I myself is thinking about getting done too.
I got Lasix a year ago and it was so worth it. I had been wearing glasses since the 3rd grade and had been blind since. Now, waking up and being able to see is the best thing 🙌
Wow this is awesome! I never knew it was so cheap i thought it was around 7-8k I guess si dios me da permiso and i can save without having to go into my savings for emergencies as always lol but im always so impressed with how well les always takes her notes down and is very organized when doing anything!! Love yall
I live in San Antonio and went to a consult here an lasik for me around 7k😭🤦🏽♀️
I feel you Alex!!! I got my surgery 9 years ago and Still have 20 / 20 vision! For those that are close by to Tijuana, I highly recommend Clinica de Ojos de Tijuana - Dr. Juan Pablo Vazquez
I'm so happy to hear Alex surgery went well 🙌🙏. Many blessings sent ur ways 🙏❤🙌
I got my eye surgery about 2.5 yrs ago and so far the best decision ive ever made! The best feeling is opening your eyes and being able to see everything so clearly! Its definitely life changing! Congrats on taking the big step!
First
when he said fiancé 😆 leslies face was like “that’s right that’s me or whateva”😆
Thanks for the helpful info! Cant wait to get mine once I save up 😍😍 it sucks constantly wearing contacts/glasses!!
Congrats, Alex! That's super exciting! Just in time to see your beautiful babygirl in 20/20 vision! 💜 Lol you could feel the panic in that 2 hour later clip but glad it settled after a nap! I hope I can get Lasik someday!
I’ve always felt some type of way when people who have mild eyesight say they have been blind their whole lives, like no there are folks who truly have been blinded their whole lives. WORDS MATTER!
Blind is a little insensitive for people who are truly disabled in that way :( but im glad it went well for alex!
You'll be very happy with the results. My husband had it done and his was great. The only thing it lasts around 10yrs. My husband now uses glasses just to look close. He did say he would do it all over again if he had the chance. It was an experience for me as well. I was able to see the surgery being done from the waiting room. Recovery was a lot to deal with. Praying for a quick recovery Alex.
So glad Alex had a successful surgery. I had a cornea transplant 6 years ago and it was very scary because I was not told I would be awake. Luckily, the doctor notice and they gave me some extra "juice" to relax, but I remember from the moment they remove my cornea and put the new one. The feeling of seeing the big "E" and several lines after was priceless. I am forever grateful to my donor and his/her family (they don't tell you anything about the donor).
love you guys!! I'm so proud of yall
Congratulations to alex!! I really want to do this for my husband he has been wanting to do this for so long! I been saving money to surprise him! Im sure it will all be worth it!
Im so excited for this video!! I’ve had to wear glasses since the 5th grade too and contacts have been such a HUGE blessing like I thank God for the person who invented them so much!! 🙏 And For a year now I’ve been super curious about getting surgery myself. So thank you guys for this video!! ❤️
