- We bought this stone house in Italy during the pandemic in 2020. The house was a ruin and we saved everything we could, unfortunately that meant only four stone and clay walls! The back wall, against the terrain, was close to collapse; the roof beams were eaten and basically reduced to dust; the inside separation walls were easily taken down and the whole project turned into a heavy renovation/rebuild.

I live in Yorkshire in the UK. Our old single glaze windows were very old and skellered and didn’t shut properly. We had moss growing around the windows and i had to dry the windows and ledges with a towel. When we were able to get new double glazed windows. The fitters took me to each window to see if I was happy with the work. I just burst into tears. They were not expensive by other windows standards , but I thought they were beautiful. To have big expanses of glass to watch the birds, see the garden and watch clouds. Is wonderful. We saved so much on our heating bills, the outside noise is shut out and we are finally secure with the window locks. I understand completely how happy you are with your new doors and windows. They look fabulous and to be able to visit the workshop and see the craftsmen make them was lovely.

Such wonderful craftsmanship, your home is swiftly becoming the envy of everyone who dreams of the Italian countryside. Also if I may, I love listening to you narrate. My Italian language skills are terrible and I only catch every 4th or 6th word, but fill in the blanks with the closed captioning. Hearing it naturally from a local speaker helps make sense in my mind. My great grandparents were from Ancona & Sicily and I was never taught the language as a child, but decades later I'm trying to pick up bits and pieces to learn when I can. Grazie mille ❤

Ces fenêtres s'accordent parfaitement avec votre cadre de maison et le paysage ressort dans toute sa splendeur. Après les travaux, vous allez pouvoir profiter de ce point de vue magnifique et vous reposez sur vos terrasses. Such a thoughtful process of those windows. Like the way they open at the side or top. They are magnificent! Made all the difference in the look of the house. The company did a tremendous work on them. Perfection at its best. At least you could take a break from building and get to watch someone else work. You deserve it. Take care and see you next week.
