Actually realistic, commander can control the entire vehicle from his position...using essentially a keyboard on very modern stuff.
I don't agree with his take on the commander control (if we can repair barrels in 60 seconds commanders can take control in 3 seconds in WT) but the 🤓🤓 voice was absolutely priceless.
Honestly the wins and fails in the same video makes it more relatable. Definitely gives it a better feel knowing we aren't the only ones who get gaijined

@@leeworthington5015 No lol, theres a fun thing you can do ingame with scout drones and tanks that have slow firing shells. If you use the drone to mark enemies and guess the range, you are able to do indirect fire from a few thousand meters away on large maps. Very satisfying when you get a kill.

Personally speaking, I like seeing more "Authentic" gameplay rather than filtered wins because I feel like its a more accurate representation of the vehicle in the game. Also good for learning new strategies as well. alot of people post videos saying "This is what works!" but rarely do people talk about "This absolutely does not work!" if that made any sense.
I like this format of videos. It's much more natural and relatable, and also these good games were (at least for me) more satisfying and rewarding. Thank you for doing this, because not every creator would show themself in that way. I've missed you Phly, thanks for coming back!

I enjoy a mix of victories and fails. Showing just victories skews what the game is actually like sometimes so it's nice to see some of the fails to keep the game in perspective. I don't need all fails but that's funny sometimes.

I'm also working through 10.3 at the moment. It has taken me years to get that far, as typically my rounds go the way they did today:
Spawn in, advance with team, team dies as I'm advancing to objective. I see nearby enemy tank, as I line up my shot I'm killed from across the map, through trees and between buildings. I spawn back in, and I get bombed before I've gone 200m. By this time the team has died or fallen back, and I respawn one more time (in an AA or scout vehicle), and I am murdered by the enemy team that has advanced to spawn camp. Thereafter, I return to main menu, log off, and go play World of Warships or Space Engineers.

High tier CAS can be quite hard to get the hang of, you kept getting shot down by spaa because they're a lot better at 10.3 than at a br where its all slow gun based spaa with no radar. If you're using bombs, rockets, guns, or any other dumb ordnance so you can't just fire from 10km away, you need to make sure spaa don't see you until its too late. If there are clouds up I quite like flying above them and over behind the battlefield, and then coming in through the clouds and striking, and then flying back up quickly. If there are no clouds I also quite like flying extremely low around the battlefield, and coming in from behind where spaa have to pay more attention to catch you. These techniques don't actually take a huge amount of time to do, because the jets are so fast. Hope the tip helps!
would love to see more of this kind of content. Getting to see the games where you don't always win or get the kills is also nice to see
It's nice watching a youtuber being in the same situations that we end up in. It's more relatable. I mean if you are playing a tank you have a high winrate in so be it, but it's nice to see both sides. It makes us also feel less bad about our play.

"It's like driving a car in a race with only two gears", the other cars won't matter if you make them all wreck first lol. But that being said, the biggest problem is no matter how good or bad an ammo type is, you will get gaijin'ed more often than not. A lot of people absolutely hate the warrior, but personally i love it. I've done better in that thing, than most heavy tanks at the same br.
I love the idea for you to do more videos with wins AND FAILS, it makes it more relatable while watching

So true, they put so much effort into so many things when it comes to vehicles and their armor/armaments, but then it comes to the actual game and the modes themselves and they seem put them together without much thought.

20:59 As I just breached 1400 hours yesterday I realised, the harder you try, the worse you will do. Preparing to fail and being shocked to succeed is how to enjoy war thunder at this point.
For example I got the FGR.2 Yesterday and was very surprised by the radar gunsight, and so far I’ve somehow killed 9 enemy aircraft with the gun and Aim-9Ds 😂
Even though I get slammed much more often than in a Sea Harrier, because I expect it it’s somehow more fun
I love the little voices thrown in, this was a great change of the usual Phly pace. Reminds me of Spookston's style which I love to watch.

"Commander controls, who asked for that?"- Back in the day it was mostly German mains. Because for some reason people thought only German tanks had commander controls, so the German mains were asking for it for ages thinking they'd end up with a big advantage. Then lost interest when they realised pretty much every modern tank had them
