This little rumor freakout shouldn't be a blip on the radar for anyone. They have every intention of seeing this film through as planned. Pattinson just signed a multi-movie Batman deal with DC/WB because they loved his performance. Happened like a few days ago. Don't trip.
Matt Reeves has yet to make a bad film. No “report” is gonna convince me that this film, one he’s had almost five years to work on and perfect, is bad.

I remember when Warner Bros loved Zack Snyder's original pitch, so much, that they chose to make him their Feige. I remember hearing about the original cut of BvS getting "a standing ovation".
I remember when Warner Bros was EXCITED to make a Cyborg solo film, then pretty much all but completely cut him out of the theatrical cut of Justice League... THEN cancelled his movie...
Then they saw Snyders box office results... all of his movies performed subpar to Marvel movies in terms of Critics reviews and box office and not even one crossed 1 Billion revenue... even Justice league and BVS when all MCU counterparts like Civil War and Avengers and even Captain Marvel crossed 1 Billion easily, WB saw Snyderverse in general as a failure and want to move on.

Still am! I don’t think this movie will be bad and I do believe that the bias goes even further than just batfleck. Most people never saw rob as Batman anyway and still cling on to his twilight days. I mean, it all started with some photos of him jogging and a joke he made in an interview about not working out. Didn’t think the haters would take it this far to believe it.

Pretty sure I remember back in 2004 that Batman Begins was apparently getting shit on by WB also...for straying away from the comic book roots and grounding it more....ended up being one of the greatest Trilogy's in modern film

Warner Brothers/AT&T wouldn't know a good movie if they woke up next to it one morning. Look what we got with the Justice League and BvS. They shutdown Burton's third installment to his Batman series, and look what we got after. Because of that Marvel is leaving them further and further behind. Loki was great! The Eternals looks great! All they care about is making money, selling toys and Happy Meals. The Batman trailer blows the hell out of all the latest movies they've made put together.

Snyder Cut was pretty meh though. Going in a different direction was a smart decision considering how divisive BvS and Man of Steel were, even though the result was terrible it was still a smart decision to distance themselves from Snyder. Even if you love his films, you have to be able to recognize that they just weren't performing well enough for WB and they needed to make a change.

I remembered reading an article years ago saying it is reported during filming of Batman Begins WB was trying to cameo Halle Berry's Catwoman because they had doubts on Nolan's film! Tbh true or not I have no confidence in the direction of the DCEU because WB has been known to display a lack of faith in the vision of the directors they hire, it seems like for every project there's news about studio interference or head-butting with the directors & rumors about scrapping projects because of creative differences. i get the feeling once they reboot the DCEU they're gonna hire directors that will pander & include some of their stupidest ideas. At this point it's hard to be excited for anything DCEU because the whole time I'm worried about how WB is gonna screw it up whether the outcome is good or bad.
I doubt they hate the film full stop. If there’s a sliver of truth here, they may dislike aspects of it. This is totally conjecture and my opinion, but perhaps one thing to be upset by would be Batman’s excessive violence (judging by the on-screen pummelling in the trailer). I don’t see anything that’s concrete here to believe this “news.”
