Stützle had 5 goals and 10 points in 5 games at the 2021 World Junior Championship in Edmonton, leading Germany to their first-ever appearance in the quarterfinals where they lost 2-1 to Russia. Stuetzle was playing in his first games after suffering a fracture during practice in October, and his first games since being drafted by the Ottawa Senators #3 overall in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft when his selection was made by Alex Trebek.

Congrats to Tim on being named the tournament's Best Forward!
This is why we call him Jimmy Stu.
Ok this season can start anytime now. I can not wait to watch him play.
same
Can’t wait for Timmy Süperstar to be unleashed this szn
soon!
Man he’s going to be a good player, but are overhyping what he is going to achieve in his first season
@@shushawnsaha2695 yeah, of course the hype is crazy. I don’t think I’m expecting him to be a mcdavid level talent, but I really think his upside can be the level of a Kane / Panarin. He can easily be a top Calder candidate this year.
@@connordickey8936 He’s definitely going to be a superstar.
@@shushawnsaha2695 wouldn’t speak so soon
You know your good when you have a 12 minute highlight video from 5 games
Hard to believe this was only 5 games, would be a complete season worth of highlights for some players.
😅true!
Hell yeah! Literally every period in that tournament he did at least one thing that was amazing. And he at least did “something” on every shift. He was noticeable every time he was on the ice.
This kid is unreal!
Also, HOLY CRAP I didn't realize he hit that many posts and crossbars! Guy should've had like 3 or 4 more goals
@@keeganlittle2116 yup!
sens were lucky to have him in 3rd, crazy how LA passed this kid. he’s a franchise player if he continues to grow fantastically.
I'm glad that wasn't Ottawa's decision to make; Byfield vs Stuetzle will be very interesting to follow over the next 5-10 years!
Yeah, especially considering how brutal he was in this tournament aside from one good game against Switzerland.
@@SensProspects from 9:24 min is just the right start
@@SensProspects I think even Lafreniere vs Stützle could be very interesting. I would not be surprised if in 25 years we look back and realize that Stützle had the better career.
you mean crazy how Rangers and LA passed over him.......
You can tell he has all the drive of an elite player
yep that's a word that's comes to mind every time i've seen him play
Elias is so underrated
he had a heck of a tournament
Idk, could just be the product of being on a line with Stutzle and Peterka..
I already knew he was extremely competitive, but I didn’t fully appreciate HOW passionate he was until this tournament.
I knew he was good coming in but I didn't realize he has barzal and makar level speed. My gosh he's a superstar in the making
i am FIRED. UP.
This kids skating is unbelievable. Absolutely effortless power, fluid, and incredible 2 step acceleration. Gonna be an absolute stud in the NHL.
As a leafs fan, you guys got a super superstar.... il be watching sens games now
damn, appreciate that!
Fellow Leafs fan here - this guy is unreal and worth watching Sens games for. Expect me to tune into them to watch Stützle play!
Ottawa power play goal, scored by number 8, TIM STUUUUUUETZLE! Can’t wait.
LETS GOOOO
Sad that he couldn’t get his number 8 in Ottawa cause it was retired
@@redfox1111999 I believe he’s going to be #18 now.
Man European players are still underrated in my opinion. Kids looks like he’s going to be the real deal
i sure hope so!
I'm so beyond happy that LA took Byfield. I've been saying since WJC 2020 that Stutzle is the most electrifying player in the 2020 Draft and that I wanted him just as much as I wanted Laf. I don't think Byfield will ever even touch the level of these 2 players. FUTURE LOOKING BRIGHT IN OTTAWA. LETS GO.
🙌
right. he is really electrifying
Makes you kinda proud as a german, after Draisaitl hopefully the next star. I think one advantage he has is his physicality because he already played against men. Hope he turns out great for the Sens, i will definitely watch as many games as possible :)
I hope team Germany will continue developing. Already could form 1st line as good as we have or even better.
@@Monsuuri Where are you from?
@@lordzutroy8465 Finland
@@Monsuuri Ah nice. My sister lives there.
Crazy to hear that Germany could even come close to have a better first Line than Finland. But somehow its possibly true right now.
Eventhough i dont know who would it be for Finland at the moment.. Still Koivu-Jokinen-Selänne? :)

Rantanen-barkov-Laine,

Love this pick and happy for you Sens fans. He reminds me of Panarin.
Thanks! I'd love to see him turn out like that
was about to comment and ask if we were gona see this highlight pack soon, and there and behold its already in my sub box! you're the best
I aim to please - thanks for subscribing!
As a Leaf fan I'm excited to see him play he looks like the real deal. Battle of Ontario should be really fun in the coming years
nice of you to say! it'd be sweet if the Battle of Ontario got a bit more competitive
Appreciate your attitude dude. I'm a sens fan who loves watching the battle of Ontario but wish we could also not have so much hate back and forth. Always nice to read when folks from the other side just want to watch a hard fought game and gain some bragging rights.
I haven't been this pumped for a prospect since Erik Karlsson.
🔥
His first play of the tournament, makes a nice interception at the blue line then makes a sweet dish to peterka... kinda realized right then and there he was about to go off 😂
yup that was a good sign, haha
Don‘t forget JJ Peterka at this point
😅
Thank you SJ ! I wonder how much time it will take him to adjust to the NHL.
Tim is Crazy Player Perfect for the NHL
can't wait for his debut tonight!!
The guys on TSN said that Tim helped their crew bring equipment into the arena. Lmao What a great kid. I would have never even thought to do that when I was 18. And I wasn’t world class at anything.
you love the see it
Even a knob like me can tell his agility and finesse with the puck are noticably better than others, really can't wait... the Sens better have a livestream of the scrimmages in camp (they never do but one can hope)
He's a special player!
On top of being a offensive powerhouse, he’s so good defensively too. I’m one excited sens fan🔥
same
Great work.
thanks!
From an analytical perspective he is really good but tries to do too much. Maybe it's because his team had no depth so maybe he was forced into being one of the sole charges of offence for Germany. One thing I noticed was he turned the puck over a lot sometimes resulting in dangerous scoring chances.
Still he is very creative and has great hands and is good at protecting the puck. If he had scored all the posts he hit he would have had 8 goals as well as maybe 7 assists in 5 games
Just incredible!
I think that mostly had to do with the depth issue!
I remember one Canada goal was a result of a turnover at the blueline but that's a bit more to do with Canada being stacked with talent.
I think doing too much happens to all junior players. When he gets to the NHL and like any rookie will, he will make mistakes and learn how to play smart.
My opinion from a fan of his Junior Team in Germany, in every game that i have seen, He was so creative, had a beautiful stickhandling and sense for offensive plays. He always knew what he was doing and Always knew what he was going to do. He was so unpredictable on ice, because He had so many moves and plays in his repertoir and done it nearly perfectly. Also his sense where he has to be on an offensive play just makes him so dangerous. He can follow the instructions and tactics of the coach and easily can do so many moves ob his own.
Also he is a very gentle guy off-ice and has a beautiful character but has so much Passion when He on-ice
Hope this helps a little Bit
Greetings from Germany 👍
I can’t wait to wear his jersey at the game. Go Sens Go!
it'll look awesome!
Now I want the Jersey too , his moves reminds me of Jason Spezza moves, very similar
i guess it's mostly sens fans here, but any guesses on whether kaako or stutzle will become the better player?

Are you gonna make a Tim Stüzle first NHL game highlights?

For me as an ice hockey newby can somebody pls tell me how high his potential is? looks kinda outstanding 😁 thx
right now he's got 1st line, star-level potential! exciting times for Sens fans
1:58 Stützle just ankled the dude.
thoughts and prayers
If you put Formenton and Sturtle together in the lineup together with Dadnov , you will have a very dangerous line
wow that's an interesting trio
@@SensProspects I hope Ottawa Senators do it
Nah. None are true centres. Stutzle CAN play centre but I think hes better suited on the wing. I know this won't happen right away but I want him on a line with Tkachuk and Batherson. Stutzle as the playmaker, Tkachuk as the nuisance in front of the net, and Batherson as the finisher.
I really want to see him with Colin White this year. There's a good chance White moves to RW this season imo, and I think he'd be a great fit playing opposite Timmy. A Stuetzle-Stepan-White line would be really intriguing, especially if Stepan can rediscover that offensive touch he had for years in New York
I like the idea of Stuetzle with White too!
Und wo hat er das Eishockey spielen erlernt ❓ Natürlich beim KEV 🖤💛
👍
Aber Aktuell nicht 😂
@@MikeMike-wf3ry Ach wie lustig ❗👍👏

Hope he have a great career coming from a rangers fan
Thanks! Both the Sens and Rangers have awesome prospect pools right now
I wonder that if he didn’t have that wrist stabilizer, would he have hit the post so much?🤔
Yeah, I wonder how much that affected him at all really. I think that lucky bounce goal vs Slovakia overrules at least one of the posts though
Once it's gone he's going to be deadly. 25-30 pts this year
@@Ty-kr4bc fingers crossed 🤞
Nice pick for sense after a few dark years
fingers crossed!
It's Elias, not Eliash!
😅
@@SensProspects no, its pronounced as "Eliash." Its a Czech last name. He must have Czech origins. If it were spelled out in Czech, it would be Eliáš. Same pronunciation as Patrik Elias.
@@Tommyboy13100 Maybe! I'm not sure where it's said in this highlight pack. Gord Miller gets every single player at the WJC to record their own name so he says it on the broadcast how they do, but it may have been someone else.
@@Tommyboy13100 no it‘s Elias not Eliash
Imagine Ottawa drafted Peterka with Stutzle instead of Jarventi
I was hoping for Peterka with either the Greig or Jarventie pick. We'll see how it plays out over time!
it will be Mcdavid,Mackinnon and Stutzle. the rest probably wont be near them soon(would like to see Kakko and Lafreniere in that group aswell). from pens fan.
👀
Draisaitl??
Echte Augenweide diese drei: Stützle, Peterka, Elias
heck of a trio
Top-center fans with the Stützle signs lol
haha yep
I can’t believe we didn’t take peterka
😬 I wanted him too... We'll see how this plays out though!
I see more of a panarin than a Kane but this kid is gunna red light alot.
Tkatchuk-stutzle-daddy by mid season
I would *love* to see it!
@@SensProspects in my opinion, Stutzle will become a full time winger. Hes a better winger than centre. Even played wing in the juniors
@@Tommyboy13100 yeah I'm not holding my breath for him to become a C in the NHL

veryyyy curious how this plays out over the next 6 years
There's always that one player ok the World Juniors who brings his team as far as they went. Germany almost beat Russia in the quarters and that would've been something
yup they nearly had em
Stützle > Byfield
