Damn, I`m feeling nostalgic for a time I wasn`t even around yet.
Either this music video is truly that good, or I`m just a poser and it`s STILL that good.
***** You're not a poser, you like good music bro ! o/
MobSqr Thanks
***** your a dude that was meant to live in the 80s lol
***** I grew up in all that awesomeness. Things like this video can't really make you understand how it felt, but it shows you how iconic and amazing those years were. I'm always glad to meet someone like you that can appreciate a time that you never got to live in and really experience.
Matt West Thanks, I`m really glad to hear that.
I`m actually mid 90s kid (as in the first thing I really experienced) and all things considered I`m very glad to at least have experienced that.
Late night MTV and watching Terminator 2, X-men and Johnny Bravo Were My childhood, I wonder how it was for You guys.
Y`know, unlike now when parents actually take the PG-rating system extremely seriously (or at least it felt to me like most parents knew kids could handle more violent Movies when I grew up).
no synthwave track has captured the 80s/retro feel as much as this. this is what synthwave is all about and this is the greatest synthwave track
LeonShepard well that’s debatable
Try Saved by the Bell by Miami Nights 1984
Agreed! Mitch cornered the market early xD
If I'm introducing someone to Synthwave this is the track I use.
Miami Nights 1984 - Ocean Drive is where its at
Nostalgia is so beautiful and yet so painful at the same time.
the ambivalence of it all
Reminds me of playing on the living room berber carpet with my younger brother. Coloring books and crayons on the floor with a few other toys, just enjoying the moment while movies like this played on my dads 32" Zenith and VCR with 2 heads and tracking in that entertainment center where you could close the doors to hide the TV. Good times.
Nost - home
Algia- pain
Especially when it's about a person you miss from a long time ago
Pain from an old wound.
Fucking critical hit, headshot, no scope AWP straight to the feels... With no chance of survival...
+Adonis ;)
haha, awesome coment, tru
Born in 1978 ..... feeling the fresh air coming through my window in the mid to late 80's as a kid watching cheesy b movies - GOLDEN MOMENTS!
dont look at the sun too long :) '76 here visited KZ , and the Wings stad in 2002 ish// o'hare best damned amtrak ride of my life.... in another story...
Synthwave starts here and eventually ends here. Mitch Murder is the best.
I think this is one of the greatest electronic tracks ever made, it only ever gets better every listen. A definitive headphone track.
Yes this is one of the best ever!!!!
Born in 1986 but a lot of the soul I feel thru these synthesizers carried into the 90's thru VHS. Which immediately makes me think of Friday Nights going to the Video Store to rent a movie on VHS for the weekend and ordering a Pizza with friends. The song takes a turn at 3:03, and I honestly get watery eyes thinking of a friend who I shared many memories with back then, who died a few years ago. It makes me even think of my Dogs I grew up with who are no longer here by my side. Once 4:55 comes around, I realize no matter what pictures or videos remain from those times... once I am gone, they are just fragmented memories scattered along the stars.
I have a hard time crying, even though I know it's really healthy. But somehow the opening scene of this video gets me close. Maybe it's because it reminds me of the age of innocence. When I had my whole life ahead of me. It's a combination of sadness that this time has longggg past, and joy that I was alive to experience it. Sigh....
I miss that time, really bad. Want to go back and reexperience everything, and maybe change a couple of things.
Big Thanks to Mitch murder for bringing memories and this feelings back.
You explained it right. It's that age of innocence, whole life ahead of you and the dreams to come. Anything is possible and the good guys always win. I'm just glad I had a chance to experience it. It will always be a special place in my mind.
I remember when Mitch Murder contacted me and wanted me to do this vid thing for this track! I was stunned by it...I knew exactly what to do, and I made this to honour that feeling in time! It was the golden days in synthwave right there when it all started.
Nailed it man! Especially the intro. I think the Synthwave still has legs for another five plus years. Most people don't even know about this quiet retro storm that's brewing. Reminds me of 80s music (non-synwave) in early late 90s/ early 2000s.
@neros77 Keep it up!
Damn, momma I miss you so much!!!!
R.I.P. Linda Cercone, my momma
4-28-44 - 8-9-20
I miss the 1980s soooooooo much. The innocence and simplicity.
the 80s... sorry if you missed it because it was legendary !!!
How
I don't know man. But the cocaine must have played a part. Most women were thin. Awesome tunes.
I can only imagine. I didn’t live the 80’s but i love it like I belonged there.
P.s. nice trapper photo ^^
Everything was harder in the 80’s, believe it or not there was no internet or mobile phones! How did we survive🤪
@synthdadmusic3388 We had a life if you remember properly. A risky one but a thousand times better
Man this definitely makes me nostalgic. I'm just glad I experienced the 80s as a teen (Class of '86).
Thats the year AHA made "take on me" lucky!
@@bbzz9084 Awesome track =)
I'm nostalgic for a song that meant to evoke nostalgia. The circle is complete. This song is now a senior to the 80s, who only got to turn 10.
I was 16 years old in '85 and I can say, it was a fantastic time to be alive. So many things I did that should've killed me and yet here it is in 2016 and I'm still breathing... So lucky!!
Like what
+GnarlyBroMr It's a long list, but here is a few.
Exceeding the posted highway speed limit by a multiple of 3. With traffic.
Drove 600 miles in 5 hours that night.
Nearly poisoned myself with 151 white label.
Other nefarious activities I'm not inclined to air for the public.
+Pha Q You Legend
You are here for a reason...you are living testimony of the 80's. A living encyclopedia of greater times
I envy that
One of my absolute favourite tunes from Mr Murder. I love how you capture the feeling of the 80s without sounding fake. It sounds more like 80s music THAN 80s music and I absolutely love it. Tack för den känslan. Bless.
Anyone still listening?
Here synthwave is my everyday music
Yes ❤
2024
Indeed @@xenonmob
mitch murder is just amazing.
though i was born in the late 80's, this tune brings out an untold nostalgia. when life was simpler and was great.
I was born in 1977 but the 80's were my childhood. This song awakens the little boy in me that grew in that era.
The 80's was the decade of 'The grand vision'. The reach for the age that people from centuries past wrote about and dreamed to see but couldn't obviously.
The 90's was the hard come down from that high.
Im 82 born & I can't think of a better track to describe the 80's vibe. Everything about that time was beautiful, technology in its crude yet beautiful designs, houses looked like houses and not abstract fucking art, kids dressed like kids .... the list is endless
I was already engulfed by nostalgia when 3:09 came in. So, I went in a kind of slow emotion replay with these "Tears for Fears-esque" tones as a soundtrack for memories that I even didn't know I had here... inside. The soul never gets old.
Where is that original tune from? I know I've heard it before and it's really irritating that I can't find it lol
There's a resemblance with Tears for Fear's "Everybody wants to rule the world".
@@FogLittleFog Yes, obviously. It always seems to say: "Welcome to your live, there's no turning back".. Miss this times. Could cry my eyes out. Damn..
...Is it just me, or were the days a little sunnier back then?
They definitely weren't 115 degrees for days on end in AZ.
There was a big hole in the ozone layer.
You guys weren't chemtrailed as hard as we are. Nor were techno-occultist fucking with the fabric of reality as much back then as they probably are now
We were latchkey kids growing up with almost nothing. Watching a new movie was literally a luxury. You had to plan for movie night and get to the movie store hoping there was still a copy of your movie ..... on vhs. But that made you appreciate it that much more. Now you pull out your phone and watch pretty much whatever you want. Not that thats a bad thing I love it. The opportunities now were not so much back then. $5.10 an hour sucked BUT the cost of living was much much lower. I believe we paid $450 a month for our home with 3 bedrooms. So there was good and bad just like today. But we still have the music. This is a decent example of it.
I wasn’t from the 80s I was born in 94 and grew up from there but I notice I don’t hear nature anymore even when I go outside in the middle of a quiet day navies neighbors are at work I don’t hear those bugs or birds anymore. It’s kinda weird and makes me think something bad is happening to the environment nowadays
.... Wish i had 80's childhood
I have a ritual, every December I listen to it, remembering all the positive things that the year left me and receiving the new one.
I love this song
One of the best themes from Mitch, my favourite
This is maybe the best 80s Synth Track i ever heard... i dont write something like this that easily... this sometimes goes on repeat loop forever in my car! :)
I agree this track is legendary!
Never be an era like that again. It saddens me seeing what's happened to the world today. I'd do anything to return to that carefree era.
Just be thankful that we have music, videos, games and memories to rely on. It's ironic that many 80's themes have a future where the past has been forgotten. KEEP IT ALIVE!
I have listen to this song and watch this video so much over the years since I first discovered this song/video because it brings so many emotions and feeling that you can not put into words
Amazing man makes me proud to have done a video that means so much for some people :-) Thank you!
@@neros77 You are so very welcome and never stop what you are doing
That feel when the nostalgic synthwave track is now so old you can be nostalgic about it in and of itself regardless of the 1980s
I was born in 77 and grew up watching those movies and playing video games in a 8bits spectrum. There wasn't internet, Amazon, CZcams, facebok.... BUT I wouldn't change it for nothing. I really miss those days. All was more authentic.
This song is older than the 80s ever got, but Mitch Murder built a time capsule and Neros decorated it brilliantly.
True ;-)
Yeah, Mitch.I remember when....life was so simple and beautiful just by dreamin" and lovin"...
I do remember. It was glorious and wonderful. The future was not a dystopia. The future was bright. We lost it somewhere. So sad.
Nice work takes me back..I was a 80's kid/teen so the clips of this films really resonate with me. Love Cobra, great film!
Lucky. As a teenager, I grew up wasting my time with rap lol and terrorism on the news.
its the music of my childhood where the world seemed easy and fair and ok
there was no internet and that lead to many unique different characters with real emotions and real characteristics that wherent manipulated by an collective idealistic
^This is the Truth. This is what's real.^ :(
Take off the rose tinted glasses, the world was as turbulent then as now
2024 and I'm still listening to this great song with an excellent compilation of eighties videos
I swear this music has the same effect on people whenever I show it to them for the first time. “God...this takes me back”. One man thought of Ferris bueller’s day off then remembered how he did stuff like that at that age...amazing. I love you people for this. Please keep pumping these treasures out?
The young Tom cruise always makes me feel that magic of the 80.
Filled me with nostalgic longing for a time period in which I didn't even exist
this song brought me to god damn tears. so beautiful.
The start is almost painful for the memories it can bring on surface..
This is the first track I play in the car when I go for a little high-octane chill-out. Brilliant video too.
The amount of feels is too damn high. Thanks for this man.
I can watch this video many times and I can not get enough !
+Floodjoy I agree with You.......back in that time..........
+Victoria Dantec ;)
youtube is the closest thing we have to a time machine
Well said 👍🏻
Still my favorite video on all of CZcams. Been listening to your channel for a decade now and you've brought some of the greatest music video compilations ever. Never stop doing what you do.
I was a teenager growing up in the 80's.Brings back good and bad memories.
The 80's personified originality in cinema and mystification in music. The epitome of timeless grandeur that never ceases to amaze notably those that lived through it. It's true power of spirit and mind - no cell phones, no Internet, no social media, ...... one really had to go out there and prove himself to himself or herself. So many younger crowds today have alter egos and are brainwashed by a sea of fabricated nonsense of accomplishment. You stepped up to the plate in person with your voice and asked someone out and told them how you felt - not over a website. You had to read books and study hard and learn by not watching readily available videos online as today. My favorite childhood film from the 80's was "The Neverending Story" and for me that's what the 80's was about and will always be about - A Neverending Story that can never be duplicated. Anything that pays tribute to that esoteric time is in and of itself a masterpiece. Totally Dope!!! Being 41 years of age now I still yearn to be a Starfighter in my own personal Gunstar!
Is this the greatest marriage of music and video EVER!! YES It not only instils a sense of longing for us who where brought up in the 80s by the music but also a visual delight all the movies we watched in our teens... Top work brilliant video
The older I get the more I miss these days.. nice compilation, Mitch Murder is truly the pinnacle of 80s/synthwave producers
"it happens. it's unavoidable, when u grow up your heart dies"
"Live the journey, for every destination is but a doorway to another."
@Who am I? There are chances of an awakening. Every death leads to a life. Everytime you go into a shell, a cocoon, you come out as a new being after a period of gestation.
Growing up with the world tends to do that. That said, there are those of use who still retain that certain spark from childhood...
I was born in 1976. Remember almost all of these movies. The 80s era, what a time
to grow up in!! Sometimes I sit and wonder, what era was better? The 80s or 90s?
I still wonder to this day. Maybe it was the 80s? I've pondered it for too long. Think
I will just sit back, and take in this awesome synthesizer music!!
Such a beautiful Song!
So many great movies from back then.
the 80ies, freakin awesome
so true
Drowning in a sea of nostalgia...
I crank this up while driving. Nothing else matters between the beginning and the end.
1989 - School End... that was great time... beautefull songs and films... today is all pervert...
agreed!
МОЛОТ you probably wouldn't say the same thing if this music was played to a bunch of images of big haired MTV clowns
This sound will never escape me.I miss this decade 😂
nostalgic, sad and beautiful at the same time.
I've been playing this non stop for the last two weeks. I can't get it out of my head.
80's forever !!!!! best times !!!!!
Nothing will ever come close to that again. Nothing truly ever felt the same again after 1989, at least for me. There was something magical that you almost can't explain. Pure bliss.
progressive59 No one could ever explain it better than you just did friend.
progressive59 True that, my friend! Pure magic
90's kids who always looked up to this cooler generation of your big brothers and sisters from teh 80's. Thumbs up!
Really great video. The opening scene with Cruise really does make me reflect on good times long past. I was born in 82. Also seeing Sly with those aviators is very powerful. We will never see these times again.
This makes me think what life was like for my parents in the 80s. I just hope they had a fun time while they were young.
This is a great movie
+Jacob David C. Cunningham Thanks!!
+Scotty Bucks You haven't seen the movie? love the last line when his classmates are talking about their products and how much they've made over the course of their year, he's like "My name is __ and I grosses over $8,000.00 in a night."
+Jacob David C. Cunningham I was hesitant to reply for spoilers but they pull it out, he gets it repaired without his dad knowing otherwise.
+Scotty Bucks it's on Netflix brah or online
+Scotty Bucks I think I primarily watched it because it is referenced a lot. also I find that a lot of the movies A-list actors are in are pretty good like the movies with Tom Cruise Missile. just my opinion.
As someone who grew up in the 80s, you did it. Thanks for this.
I was born in the 80's thats wassup best years ever
Steven Lelloup
I was also born in the 80s (87), but sadly i cannot say, that i've expericend it the way, that i'd love to now. Do you? Would've been great, to be a 8 year boy in 1983 and experience all of this first hand. It seems, i have to live a healthy life to experience the 80s in this century. ^^
Steven Lelloup '82 here, I missed the beginning, but you were there in its twilight years at least brother.
Matt West yessur i remember my mom's music when she use to cleanup the house on the weakends and all the great tunes from the radio 80's was good to me
+Steven Lelloup - Born in the 70's.
Word.
+Scotty Bucks I was born in 1980 lol man that was the Americas golden yrs and we had no clue
Soo serene and nostalgic. Thank u both Mitch Murder and Neros77. Such an outstanding track
I know that feel man. I was born in '89 and also grew up watching 80's movies, listening to 80's music and saw photos of my parents with 80's haircuts dressed in matching tanktops and hot pants. It's strange feeling nostalgic for an era that one didn't even live through.. but, like manhunter86 said, whichever decade you experienced during early adulthood will probably be just as memorable; enjoy it while you're still able to do so and remember, always be excellent to each other.
Nice choice of clips. It fits with the music perfectly. Watching and listening gets me all nostalgic for a time I can barely remember, as I was born in 1984.
80's = Best decade ever!!!!
Agreed.
2000's = Absolutely pathetic. Can somebody build me a time machine so i can live through 84'- 89' on repeat?
I couldn't agree more! Life sucks now. Not a kind world anymore.
progressive59
80's were far happier times. The wonderful out of this world creative fashion, amazing 'n imaginative cartoons, brilliant music(Synth pop ect)thee' best horror movies, Nintendo ruled the world(Circa 85-94), The commercials were so incredibly creative, vibrant and colorful, no I-phones, simpler times in general(ect ect), interior decorations(ect) were far more cozier and beautiful(think late 80's) rather than the modernized sterile ikea minimal 'cold' crap people have now.
The only positive things imo to come ouf of the 2000's are eBay and CZcams(Nostalgic time capsule ;) you can find ANY commercial for ex from the 80's) and quality games Nintendo still churns out. other wise, I can't stand it.
my place is completely 80's out. life is what you make it afer all haha. whenever a guest pops by they usually say it's like entering an 80's vortex. XD
No question. So many incredible tv shows, movies and music. The fashion was awesome. A lot of people had more money. Things were cheaper. At least I have youtube to relive how amazing it was.
progressive59 you re completely right , in these years were people more creative, they loved fun
now they only try to earn so much money so fast they can....
everything is boring (music, books, movie , television...)
2017 smh. Something is seriously wrong with all these newer generations of kids. I was a 90's baby, but as far back as I can remember, I always knew being a teen in the 80's would have been the best.
It's not their fault man, look at the world they were born into..
We had it good😕
As long as you were a straight white man, yeah.
I was born in 82. That whole decade was miserable for me. But I love this retro music
this proves the fact that everything was amazing in the 80's the music, movies and girls :) i am a 90's kid but i wish i would grew up in the 80's
The epicness of this song is only equal to the cult status of the movies gathered in this video. Thanks for making the most interesting edits, Neros77!
What I really love about the 80’s vibe is the feeling that we all share this planet together. We all have our own stories yet they all are playing at the same time. Sometimes, the collide with others. Sometimes you’re the hero, sometimes you’re the villain, and sometimes you’re the background character lol sometimes !!! You’re the mentor, the friend, the pivotal character to affect the story… if there is anything I’ve learned from the 80’s films is that we all deep down crave to live a badass life that we can look back on. The truth is as hard as being a human being is, we’re all in this together. One day we will return to dust and all that will be left is these memories… but just remember that death isn’t the end and we’re all are going to remember those times for eternity. 🔁☦️
The greatest thing to ever hit YT.
Capture this feeling /o\
U led me here after (f home)
:)
Synth Maniac I'm I right if I say that Forêt de Vin - Hold the Night is 1 of the best tracks ever?
Its very noice, indeed!
+Synth Lord this hit me roight in the feels !
Merci pour ce beau et grand moment "mitch murder".. 80's pour la vie..
The most emotional synthwave song ever, pure deep emotions, i am always crying to this magical piece
I'm 22, but I would have liked to live that time, 80's, good times..
This is so Nostalgic :')
My dream car. . . a 928 rarely seen BUT you KNOW IT when you see IT
3:07 "Welcome to your life, there's no turning back..."
The epitome of all that is awesome.
Back when music was really limited people had to put cassettes to play a song just 5 to 10 songs , to rewind it to listen your favourite song again the efforts you had to put to listen it once more was something words cant express
I'm from that time ;-)
I wasnt born in 80s either but I feel this nostalgia hard because I was born in 94. Grew up listening to this kind of music.
At 10 years old in 1980 I am so grateful for being able to grow up as a teen right through the 80's and absorb it all. I miss it, so much music so many movies, so many possibilities and optimism.

Ага... тоже самое
You are so damn right! If I'd have one wish, I'd choose to live in the 80's forever.
Something magical about this track.. Takes me back!
People who need songs to have lyrics have no imagination, songs like these are soundtracks to our lives and future possibilities. I feel sorry for you. God bless
Let me die listening to this song!
I'll be in heaven already.
Same feelings
Aww I miss the 80's
dude you just put a comp of awesome movies , fucking awesome job! love it its like a quick fix of my childhood ...thanx neros77
Clips like these capture the magic of film and imagination.
Perfect video for this song! Catches the eighties vibe just like the music! Mitch Murder is so cool!
Nostalgia is such a cheap trick, but when done right way FUCK does it ever hit the spot every single time.
3:08-3:49 sounds like Every Body Wants to Rule the World. ^_^
+Branden Lucero true, but most of his stuff is influenced heavily by 80's tracks!
I hear you on that. and the rest almost sounds like "I had the time of my life" but then quickly changes. whew!
after looping this hundreds of times, I'm convinced this is a nod to many things, including the bladerunner soundtrack (same keyboard sound, note, and upward inflection) - well beyond coincidence. this SOB is clever.
... 'Welcome to your life'
