The Nissan Juke hybrid remains one of the smallest full-hybrid SUVs! Its polarising design has earned it many fans and haters along the way.
For this slight 2024 update, Nissan has brought in a bigger, more well integrated 12.3" centre touch-screen, an N-Sport grade, new headlights, wheel designs and of course the 'Iconic Yellow' paintwork. Nissan also have ditched the low spec 'Visia' and 'Accent' trims meaning the range starts off with N-Connecta on petrol and hybrid versions.
The hybrid system remains unchanged, meaning my critique about no re-gen paddles remains! If you prefer a petrol Nissan have kept the 1.0 turbo-charged engine with a 6-speed manual (my favourite option) or a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission.
Thanks to ‪@nissanuk‬ and to ‪@SMMTvideos‬ for making this review possible, I hope you enjoyed it, I was very excited to see it to make a follow-up review and upload it exactly a year from my previous and very popular Juke video!

I have been driving a new Nissan Juke hybrid N-connecta 2024 for about 8 weeks. Its not my personal vehicle & I have not driven a Nissan car before.
So far I find it good car in its price range and certainly a big improvement on the previous versions. I am not reviewing this car but pointing out a bad feature in my opinion.
The problem is “speed limit chimes” or sounds.
Initially I thought I could turn off these chimes, but after a number of calls to Nissan customer services, it now seems it is a permanent feature.
You might say why turn off a “possible” safety feature.
In driving at variable speeds there is a flashing or blinking speed sign in the instruments to let you know when going over the limit, which is enough without the chimes.
But in some driving environments such as towns & villages where the speed limit changes quickly from one to another the chimes become “an annoying distraction” especially if you are listening to music or a podcast. Even chatting to a passenger. Also getting directions from a SatNav.
This “overkill of technology” is spoiling driving experience & doing the opposite of its intentions and just to say I am not against technology.
I don’t think drivers need a car to tell them about speed limits.
If this is something that Nissan is imposing on its customers I will not be considering Nissan cars as a possible purchase or even recommending to anyone.
At least as a customer you should have a choice.

Good review, refreshing to see the positive and negative aspects of the car. I drove the hybrid with 19” alloys and also found the ride too firm. Drove one with 17” alloys which was much smoother. The hybrid engine was great at low speeds but not the best at 50+ mph. I think a petrol with 17” alloys would be best until a pure electric version arrives.

My girlfriend just bought one of these, she didnt go for the + version, just the Tekna, because she preferred the leather look and not the alcantara, she loves it!

Bring back the nismo version, I have the nissan juke nismo rs, and it flys. 215bhp what do the new jukes have, a lot less I'm sure.

Great review Sam. The ride does seem firm on 19" wheels, so it would be the N-Connecta on 17" for me. Got to have some comfort on our pot-holed roads. The yellow looks grand, def makes a statement compared to boring grey cars 😀

Thanks Andrew! Yes smaller wheels 🛞 are better. I agree yellow is much better than greyscale cars 😄

I like the Juke too Sam but you’re right that it’s a bit of a marmite car! Nissan have made some solid improvements though which should help the car stay up in the sales charts - which is fantastic news for the Sunderland workers 👏🏻😊
That ride looked hard though on those 19” wheels 🫨 wonder how easy those wheels and tyres will damage on our potholed roads too 😬 our old Scenic has 20” wheels and doesn’t ride anywhere near as bad as that, yet still I’ve had to replace a tyre this year because of a pothole ☹️ Seems like the spare wheel on the Juke will be a wise investment if you opt for the 19s 😁
Totally agree about the more vibrant colours too - always nice to see manufacturers giving us some fresh and exciting colour options ❤

Thanks for watching and your comment Richard! I’m sure the Juke will continue to be a popular option.
The ride was settled on smooth roads but yes, the 19” alloys weren’t happy with lumps and bumps on the track! It is great that there is an option for a spare wheel even on the Hybrid model.
I was honestly so happy to see a wide array of colours from many brands or at least a statement colour or 2 in each brand’s range. 🧡

Beautiful looking car with very nice interior, would need a good number more HP before I'd buy one though.
    Good comprehensive review.

I agree it is certainly a head-turner! It’s nippy enough off the line but isn’t anywhere near hot-hatch level that’s true! A Cupra Formentor is a good option if you like more power 😄
      I’m glad enjoyed my video!
