This is what happens when your human grandfather gives his half-human&half-alien grandson a ring that belonged to his alien father, and tries to turn his grandson against his alien father to act like his human deceased-father. When in the end, his human father died, but his alien father teaches their own son, a lesson. Your going home with him, no matter what, even if he has to beat you up, a few times. LOL
He wasn't beaten up. The kid just put all his effort into throwing Clark, and Clark just gets up again like its mildly annoying, then at the end he overpowers the kid effortlessly.
I don't know the full story, but I feel like they would have more captured the reference if in the end Clark had convinced Connor that he was becoming something he wasn’t (evil) and then let Connor break/remove the ring himself. Still, it was cool of them to give a nod to Jonathan Kent. I especially like how Tom Welling’s entire tone changes when he says the line “You’re coming home with me.” It’s like you could feel his respect for the moment and John Schneider.
The Red Kriptonite doesn't work like that. It completely removes your inibitions, and feel very good in the process. They compare It with a drug some times in the show for a reason.
One thing i hated about smallville was the lack of fighting and more Clark getting the shit beat out of him while trying to resolve the situation or just taking out the guy in one hit... This was supposed to be about him growing as a super hero not him talking everyone down...
He didn't get hurt, he was taking though punches and just getting up. That's what Superman does though - he talks people down and then if they don't listen - he curb stomps them into compliance.
+Natboy129 Trust me, throughout the 10 seasons, Clark gets the shit kicked out of him ALOT. This show displayed his adversaries and his ability to overcome them. Watch it from season 1
+lairdriver Thats not the point, i get Superman tries to take the pacifist route, and thats probably a big flaw with his character. You have the most powerful being on Earth who we know can take down most people single handedly, and when you finally have a character who has equal power or somewhat close to it, a character that can stand up to him somewhat anyway, instead of having a big climactic fight you have an anticlimactic talk down. The series is so bad for this shit as well. Bizzaro, Doomsday, Super Boy, and probably worst of all Apocalypse. All had a series of build up (Kinda) and i dont know about anyone else but i was expecting something big with them, not the supposed strongest man in the world getting beat down while he fights with words. Besides, they could have done both anyway! Have him fight back but not at full power.
Natboy129 it is about him growing up to become superman but they did have to put a story in there. Conflicts for him to fight. Challenges for him to get over to fight the final battle. The thing that annoys me is that no one looked like they were in high school when they were in high school.
Anyone else notice that this is strikingly similar to when Jonathan fought Clark when he was on Red K? Line's about this is who I really am, you're coming home with me... Even breaking the ring on a pillar... same scene...
@TheLemelere he's not fighting a superpowered villain...he's fighting his clone. He clearly doesn't want to hurt the kid. He's letting Connor throw him around because obviously it doesn't affect him all that much. Connor throws him through a wall and he's already standing up when the dust settles. His point wasn't to hurt Connor, it was to make him stop.
probably just with black hair which were ginger like lex's at first but when Clark's dna took over, he developed Kryptonian abilities and his hair became black like Clark 's tho he may look slightly different from lex as well
@Dumbledorvsdementors This is from year ten. Lex had been badly hurt and was creating clones to harvest parts. They kept aging rapidly, tho', so he mixed one with Clark's DNA to restore normal aging. Lex died, and the clone had Lex's memories, but the Kryptonian DNA kicked in. The clone lost Lex's memories, and his hair turned black. He also developed Clark's powers, and ended up named Conner Kent. Lionel was from an alternate universe. The real Lionel had been killed by Lex much earlier.
To all the people wondering why is Clark losing to Conner. Well first we all now how Clark is, he doesn't he really try his full strength on anyone cause he doesn't want them to get hurt. Clark is a lot more powerful and stronger than Conner is. Conner is a bit stronger than Clark tho when Clark was in his teenage years in highschool. But overall since is Possibly using all his strength to fight Clark considering the red kryptonite ring. You can tell his and strength and attacks don't affect Clark at all.
In Man of Steel, it was Superman's first battle, he didn't know his strength yet, didn't realize what he was capable of. I'm sure him killing Zod and all those people dying is what triggers him to hold back. Probably will be why Batman even has a chance in the sequel.
@Dumbledorvsdementors They were still getting 2.5 to 3 million viewers , that's not to bad for a TV show that ran for 10 years. A TV that ran on prime time against other networks with far bigger budgets and huge ratings draw shows.
you are asboutely right, I think it kind of homage to superman series. The immortal words of terrence stamp as Jorel. The father becomes the son and the son becomes the father.
lol i said the same thing cuz i didnt realize it at first either. he played the role as well as he could, but i mean they really could have chosen someone better suited for it.
Clark also shouldn't have encountered Zod, Doomsday, the other members of the Justice League, or Darkseid. Basically, if the Smallville gave any less of a shit about continuity, they'd be constipated.
That is so true, that's the reason superman lets smalltime people beat on him because he knows he can take a hit and would rather not risk accidentally killing someone to save himself the pain
and also. no damage was done to either of them. there kryptonian, a couple tosses 20 feet through a wall is like me trying to hurt you with a make believe stick haha. these guys, especially clark can take a beating like no mans business. hes superman for like 5 minutes and his first feat was tossing a planet, rivaling saturn in size. this superman is a monster. i couldnt imagine him sun dipping.. galaxy buster with ease
Wally West, don't forget Conner maybe half kryptionian,he is still super and that they are not yet grown(he or Clark) and still have a lot of powers yet developing.
i know right? i mean, i never watched this show but superboy's comic origin is that he's a clone of superman, but since some of Superman's DNA was missing, the rest was human DNA. He was never meant to have the same amount of strength and was supposed to be missing some of Superman's abilities
While Mrcrow300 already gave a legitimate answer, Superboy was given artificial Telekinetic powers, because the scientists were afraid he wasn't developing kryptonian powers normally (although he really just needed to be exposed to the sun more).
Well Supeman is kinda in trouble since Conner is half Kyptonian and has half of Superman's powers and with that ring he's back to how he was when he got out of Cadmas
@mightyburee I wouldn't say that was the problem. I'm pretty sure the real issue was that they lacked the budget to pull off a decent fight most of the time.
AkA Con EL. In realty it was Clark who was Superboy and if you ma or pa wasted money on the comics back in the day it isn't worth squat now except for the first appearance of Zod
Funny how green meteor rocks effects are based on range i.e. Clark is effected by being close to it. But red meteor rock has to be worn? How does it know it is being worn? Once it was simply on Clarks person and still effecting him, but here, he is close to it and fine.
Considering how we never saw Clark at full power since he let his human side limit this fight seem plausible, plus this Superboy is not canon to the average Superboy story.
well, you have missed my point entirely. i was just saying Clarke shouldn't be taking that much abuse because Connor is not as powerful. i didn't say he should go all out and snap his neck and all that stuff he should have ended the fight much quicker that's all i'm saying.
Superboy lost this encounter though and never even got into the ballpark of hurting Clark look at Clarks fight with other kyrypotonians, they draw blood and leave marks none of that is seen here so regardless of what universe this is Superboy is clearly not as powerful as Clark.
i'm a fan of DC comics but i don't like that they never really determinated superman's strength and power, like what are his limits, i know he gets strength from the sun, but one time he gets betten easlly and the other no one can give him a scratch. does the anger have something to do with it?
nope superboy comes around after clark is established as superman and the show to my understanding was supposed to show events of clark's life before that happens
when clark says u are coming home with me they are the same words his dad said to him when he was under the influence of red kryptonite
I love how powerful Clark is like Connor Cleary isn't hurting him
I love the way they had Clark use the same lines as Jonathan did with him. :)
Like father, like son.
Lol he did not
@@rngsus4002 “ lol” I don’t see how this funny but Johnathan did say that to Clark while he was infected with red k in season 3
Clark: Conner, I can help you.
Conner: No you can't
Clark: We're all in this together!!!
Flashback!! Just how Jonathan Kent did to Clark back in Season to. Same line, destroyed the ring to
Wow.. I never thought about that until I seen your comment.. you're so true. 😱
omfg Sharpay's brother is superboy!!
This is what happens when your human grandfather gives his half-human&half-alien grandson a ring that belonged to his alien father, and tries to turn his grandson against his alien father to act like his human deceased-father.

Rip Jonathan Kent
@@tbducky4136 jonathan returned
Lol. I don't know if anyone noticed but his father said the same thing to him in the season 3 opener: "you"re coming home with me."
Clark: come on, Connor. we don't have to fight. We're ALL. IN. THIS. TOGETHER!
when he says, "Your coming home with me," That's what Jonathan Kent said to clark when he was corrupted by Red-K
He went all Jonathan Kent on him
Yeah. I still prefer the young justice version of Conor Kent.
yea young justice was good serier, too bad that they canceled it
There making a live action teen titans on tnt
Both a YJ live action and a teen titans live action. *WHEN DO THESE AIR?*
That’s for sure this is pretty old don’t forget
pft of course you'd say that, the superboy in young justice was a massive jock, you people have no morals rooting for the jock
wow i only saw this episode once..but i'm just realizing that this is exactly like that episode where jonathan came after clark lol
I love the season three reference :D
He wasn't beaten up. The kid just put all his effort into throwing Clark, and Clark just gets up again like its mildly annoying, then at the end he overpowers the kid effortlessly.

This is a perfect example of when parents say, When you have children I hope he gives you as much trouble as you gave us lol.
Me too, specially when he says "no son, you're coming home with me".
One thing i hated about smallville was the lack of fighting and more Clark getting the shit beat out of him while trying to resolve the situation or just taking out the guy in one hit... This was supposed to be about him growing as a super hero not him talking everyone down...

this reminds me of when johnathan fought red k clark
1:43 epic dad moment
Anyone else notice that this is strikingly similar to when Jonathan fought Clark when he was on Red K? Line's about this is who I really am, you're coming home with me... Even breaking the ring on a pillar... same scene...
1:10 let me just look at this ring in the middle of a fight greatest idea ever.
A nice touch is that Connor is wearing a black leather Jacket like he did when he first appeared in the comics.
Epic. I love Smallville.
So when Connor gets older, he’ll look like the real life-Michael Rosenbaum-Lex?
probably
just with black hair which were ginger like lex's at first but when Clark's dna took over, he developed Kryptonian abilities and his hair became black like Clark 's
tho he may look slightly different from lex as well
i find it quite hilarious how Clark constantly gets the hell beatne out of him throughout this series

superboy vs superman.... maturity wins :P
If i Directed this they would've had some DBZ energy in there. Heat Vision clash & everything.

Touché, my good man.
NIce call back to the Johnathan vs Clark fight

OMG he's Lucas from high school musical!
Самый лучший сериал,и супер герой))))
Love This
@Dumbledorvsdementors Yep. And now he's "Conner Kent" and apparently living with Martha in Washington.
you are asboutely right, I think it kind of homage to superman series. The immortal words of terrence stamp as Jorel. The father becomes the son and the son becomes the father.
well he was in high school musical, cant really expect much.
lol i said the same thing cuz i didnt realize it at first either. he played the role as well as he could, but i mean they really could have chosen someone better suited for it.
OMFG, this is like the fight where clark fought his dad, haha
this is awsome :D
Clark also shouldn't have encountered Zod, Doomsday, the other members of the Justice League, or Darkseid. Basically, if the Smallville gave any less of a shit about continuity, they'd be constipated.
what season and episode is this from?
this wasnt supposed to happen till clark becomes superman it's like saying superboy meet superboy!
That is so true, that's the reason superman lets smalltime people beat on him because he knows he can take a hit and would rather not risk accidentally killing someone to save himself the pain
Actually Clark encountered Zod when he was still Superboy in the original comics but other than that i totally agree
and also. no damage was done to either of them. there kryptonian, a couple tosses 20 feet through a wall is like me trying to hurt you with a make believe stick haha. these guys, especially clark can take a beating like no mans business. hes superman for like 5 minutes and his first feat was tossing a planet, rivaling saturn in size. this superman is a monster. i couldnt imagine him sun dipping.. galaxy buster with ease

Nyein Aung, ha I totally agree with you they should have gotten someone bigger and older, but he was a fine superboy :)
Your comment is hilarious man! You sir, are a comedic genius.
i know right? i mean, i never watched this show but superboy's comic origin is that he's a clone of superman, but since some of Superman's DNA was missing, the rest was human DNA. He was never meant to have the same amount of strength and was supposed to be missing some of Superman's abilities

Similar to when Clark's father came for him in Metropolis.
jonathan kent said your coming home with me to clark when he wore a red k ring in season 2
as well
@ddd82451 It's good they chose that guy. He played teenage Lex in a flashback, and Conner is meant to be half Lex, half Clark.
Well Supeman is kinda in trouble since Conner is half Kyptonian and has half of Superman's powers and with that ring he's back to how he was when he got out of Cadmas
@IndividuallyWrapped Well, he did end up named "Conner Kent", and had the black shirt with red S at the end of the episode.
@hitibiru They determined his strength in the last ep of Justice league.
Holy crap, i cant believe im just now realizing that lol
Yeah neste fight 👊👊
1:27 wow Superboy slapped Clark with his ring hand.
That awkward moment when Boy challenges Man...
wish I could be a Kryptonian too
This superboy could've been Superboy Prime
@mightyburee I wouldn't say that was the problem. I'm pretty sure the real issue was that they lacked the budget to pull off a decent fight most of the time.
Should've had a spin-off!
One of the things I hate about the George Reeves TV series, is that Superman punches humans.
oh my god is that Ryan Evans
deja vu to Season 3 episode 1 ending
Forgive me if im wrong but didnt that guy appear as lex in season 6 in the flashbacks of his highschool days ??
If they were to do a movie about Superboy or Sodam Yat I think Taylor Lautner would be a good choice.
That awkward moment when Clark Kent is "Superman" and still gets his ass beat in every episode.
AkA Con EL. In realty it was Clark who was Superboy and if you ma or pa wasted money on the comics back in the day it isn't worth squat now except for the first appearance of Zod
no i think this reffer to superboy prime i havent seen this episode just tough cuz of his behavior but may be im wrong
OOOOOHHH hahaha, i see what you did there XD
Funny how green meteor rocks effects are based on range i.e. Clark is effected by being close to it. But red meteor rock has to be worn? How does it know it is being worn? Once it was simply on Clarks person and still effecting him, but here, he is close to it and fine.
does anybody know when this happened? wait did i hear lionel? how old was this cause ive seen every episode and i dont remember this.
What season is this???
Superboy was also young lex in that series
because he's superstrong. He can kick your ass without breaking a sweat too.
They don't sell cheetos here...
:D
Considering how we never saw Clark at full power since he let his human side limit this fight seem plausible, plus this Superboy is not canon to the average Superboy story.
it took me more than halfway to notice the ring was red kryptonite
r
Isa Peralta What?
Yep!
Whc season was this I missed
clark should show conner a picture of wondergirl
"Heath" Ledger played gay too, but he was a Heterosexual.
Так что забудем. У нас в России говорят: "свечку не держал - не знаю"
red lantern effect .. boom chika wowaaaaw
I like to see my whole chapters plis
Isn't that Lucas Grabeel from High School Musical?
well, you have missed my point entirely. i was just saying Clarke shouldn't be taking that much abuse because Connor is not as powerful. i didn't say he should go all out and snap his neck and all that stuff he should have ended the fight much quicker that's all i'm saying.

I NEVER REALIZED HE WAS RYAN EVANS
Just for once i'd like Clark to see the punch coming...
nope superboy comes around after clark is established as superman and the show to my understanding was supposed to show events of clark's life before that happens
