The game is so scripted it's actually insane. Even when I win I can feel that the game gave me the goals and fucked over my opponent. It doesn't even feel rewarding anymore

Good summary of the game's problems! The game has too much RNG/inconsistencies which makes the skill gap small. Haven't seen much improvement in the offensive AI as well. Like in the box the offensive AI runs are just stupid and they don't try to use the space.

I swear, the amount of times I've lost a game(since last FIFA) after being 3-0 up and absolutely dominating the opponent is absurd. The opponent just turns on 1 option and his whole team marks every single player of mine. And the worst part is that it has no disadvantage. You just have to pray to god after that option gets turned on against you. The people who claim this is realistic most probably don't watch football.

The fact that you say this game could’ve been good shows you don’t actually get it. So many of this games flaws are fundamentally game breaking, like the lack of any manual way to press, the dead offensive AI, the CPU doing 99% of the work for you. The fact that it’s actually well known now that you shouldn’t select your center backs and always defend with you CDMs etc This game is a pile of garbage and once all the naive players get over the learning curve phase and understand the meta you will see just how hated this game really is. Worst fifa ever.
Funny thing I don’t have any of these problems on next gen don’t get me wrong the game is far from perfect but it’s far ahead from anything we had in the last 4 years. The last actually decent fifa is fifa 17 . The fifa 17 passing is still the best we had in a fifa and the player weight is still much better than this ice skating mess.
The last fifa game I bought was Fifa 20, although I tried the 21 and 22. I stopped playing for these exact same reasons, mainly because it’s horribly scripted. The pay-to-win aspect didn’t help too.

I am on PS4 and Constant Pressure can be counter. I pass back to to GK run up or down depending which side is free (and on which wing i have the more physical player) and cross full power to the opposite side. Often the player is free or gets to the header first. The constant pressure or the player, also pressures the GK, so one player must be free. BIG BUT here: I still agree that constant pressure is OP as hell. This automatic man mark sucks. Other trick with tackle, I think i got it form Zelonius or Jamboo. Hold R2 + L2 (Running Jockey) and run into to player. Less bouncy. But also here, I agree, Interceptions and Tackles are still crap, although a little bit better than Fifa 21. But i am PS4 cant say how it is on new gen.
Honestly I have started playing FIFA after 5 years since konami destroyed PES and my god is this game broken, it's so unrealistic, there's absolutly no physics, the 360° bullet through pass, Jorginho making late run into the box as if he's prime Patrick Viera, the AI choosing when it's my time to score even though I know I shouldn't be scoring. And lastly, I've seen people using Werner as a center back cuz even the great Thiago Silva cannot defend at all and is beaten too easily by a 70 rated with a skill move.

I have had situation when at 90 min my CB or key defender bump into each other fall and give ball to opponent for easy goal. We need more vids like this
you didnt talk about the amazing bad switching in defence often . you have now 3 ways to switch to a diffrent player , the right stick switch ball related or player, or the r1 to switch close to the ball or the new choice between 4 players (which is good but its hard to do when game is more speedy and especially imo not working in coop) i think switching is worst ever. sometimes i need to switch 5 times to get the right defender and then its to late
Today CB Gomez scored a finesse longshot against me after a corner in the 90th minute (you know from where) and i instantly deleted my whole club and stopped playing fifa forever.
I always love the opening 10 mins of the game when everything feels balanced. But that’s all I love. After I go 2 nil up the remaining 80 mins is a simulated mess which I have no control over.

I am at div 2 rank 1 and i deleted my club because i got frustrated with all the issues mentioned in the video. This is not a skill based game rather a game where winning is decided even before the game is played. All you need to do is to just run and pass the ball, miraculously you will score or AI will help you to score. I played a game where I tried to use my defender to clear a ball and ended heading into my own goal, and this is a game where I know I can win.

Anything over div 3 has no skill gap again its what players you have. Its always a random game you can win or lose 6 nil while having the same amount if shots and clear cut chances or a dull tense draw
I've only had FIFA 22 for about a week on old gen so I haven't seen all the big issues yet, but I've definitely felt the tackle tax and the game letting lazy passes go by when I'm well positioned. The other big issue I've been having is the game making passes go to the wrong players especially on through balls. Even when I switch to manual through balls, the game selects the wrong player to receive and kills my play.
Absolute spot on Analytics of the game.it feels real upto div 5 ..then u realize u have to spam the lt and left stick in order to make movement to beat the defenders....Great video ......No matter how intelligently u play..u have to spam buttons to overpower ur opponent other wise even a good tackle will not win u the ball back unless u spam the rb button to make an animation wer u get the ball back magically while taclking...Hope to see a game where our intelligence and reading of the game overpowers the opponent rather than the spam shit buttons doing the job......
My personal opinion is that this is the most broken Fifa i have ever played. Not talking about overpowered stuff … I’m talking about actual basic mecanics of the game , passing and player movement/animations are litterally RNG , you don’t know what your player that you’re controlling might do all of a sudden from animation to Pass power. I stopped playing after ea trial and it felt like EA had no clue how to fix any gameplay problems raised in previous years so just brought everything down a level to make it seem ‘fair’ and all aspects of the game equal, but in reality everything is equally bad which has just made the whole situation worse

A guy sent a through ball through my defense and when I read the play and sprint my defender was moving so slow, when I switch players, my defender AI controlled caught up to the opposing player, game makes no sense man.
After the newest patch, I'm suddenly getting significant input delay in about 80% of my matches. Elite Division player who regularly gets 14-16 wins a week in WL. Literally just since this patch last week (early November), the game has become nearly unplayable. It only seems to be affecting some users but seeing a LOT more people talking about the delay again since the last patch.
End of the day, what we want is a more balanced, rewarding and responsive game where we don't feel the game decides the result for us. The solutions will differ between each individual, obviously, but there are things that should have been fixed for years that the community largely agree on.
I think most of the criticism about Fifa 22 comes from people that get mad when they lose a game, including me but then I realise that I’m just worked up and FIFA is an extremely well made game.

It’s been an abusive way to score for a couple of years now and it’s really needs to be patched. That pass has a 95% success rate regardless of who’s making the pass and how open the pass actually is

The one thing I hate about FIFA 22 on new gen is defensive AI, and Fucking AI block. Im a Div 3-2 player and been in Div 1 on all other fifa and I can honestly say that there is no skill gap when it comes to defending. All play is people playing Drop back 1 depth and rely on fucking auto block and fucking superman goalkeepers to bail them out. People that play so defensive and just L1 Triangle abuse all game. Like damn, I remember going on 20 games win streak back in Fifa 16, 17, and 18 where there was a resemblance of a skill gap

I have become average since FIFA 17, suddenly everyone who I was streamrolling in FIFA 14 and prior they are all competitive. Assistant passing has been screwing me try to cut passing lanes and directional nutmegs people are penetrating my defense effortlessly

Lets not talk about interceptions my defenders staring contest is on another level they don't stretch their legs at all as the passes millimeters from them. Just like you I couldn't pin point the problem until I came across Italian Stallion. All the issues I am facing are highlighted here
The tackle tax is a direct cause from constant pressure. To counter this have a well set up formation with constant pressure like a 442. This means players who use tactics well can counter this and win. To contain a team better use midfielders with very high defensive stats and high work rates. Examples include paulinho and casemiro. Have a moderate attacking set up with wing backs balanced and midfielders on mostly balanced. Have marquinhos in you team. This also helps. Using tactics correctly to the games characteristics. Think of it like football manager. At the end of day I am on directly controlling one player.
I like how you use situations where the horrendous gameplay worked in your favour to examplify how horrendous the gameplay is. I only play CM on ultimate, with semi-manual passing/shooting & sliders to make it fit my style as well as possible. But I can barely get through a single match on this game.. It really saddens me how a game i've been casually playing since '98 (!!) has become completely unenjoyable. And that's based on gameplay alone, not to mention to insane amount of bugs that particularly affect CM, like youth players & regens not having kitnumbers or names..

It's so obvious, by messing with your win rate they create a more addictive game. That's why on a game by game basis your team and opponent teams play inconsistently
When I have the ball, my players feel like trucks, take forever to react, not to mention turning. When I'm defending, everyone is on skaters, gliding through the pitch to ram on unaware opponents And the constant pressure is so unrealistic, that's not how it works in real life. Constant pressure should move the lines up the pitch and press the ball, but leave huge gaps in behind for long through balls. But whoever designed this apparently never watched football before, because the man mark is bullshit. Also, defenders in FIFA drop back too deep, keeping every attacker on side to receive the ball inside the box, inches away from goal. That's not how football works
Totally agree with that tackling epidemic. Need to get rid of that grab jersey animation in u ask me and increase the recovery of tackling. (Probably make the normal tackle last as long as the tackle when u hold ⭕️. N well the lack of possession based tackling is woeful. Passing agree, i have the same exact sentiments. I still think competitive mode on semi would help. Need to fix the pressing tactic for sure.
Come home from a day out, jump on fifa, face ball roll scoop turns every game, first time ball rolls after a driven pass and skill cancels. I wish ea employees would go outside and try ball roll a driven pass first time or try a ball roll scoop and see how difficult and tiring it is before adding it to the game.
I firmly believe that if we become honest with ourselves and see the inexcusable nonsense that goes on in this game we can move forward (we are all guilty of it myself included). Exploiting a game and manipulating the game to your liking doesn't make you good nor does it make you a mastermind of the sport either. And yes Stallion i agree what you said we need a game with a fun game style but has the CORE Fundamentals of the sport that we love.

something i will say when you’re talking about the second man press yes, strikers can press, but messi has low defensive work rate, meaning he doesn’t overly press even when told. same thing with my OTW anderson talisca. he’ll press off kickoff but rarely press if i lose the ball high up the pitch, even if i tell him too. besides that, everything you said is so true and i’m very similar to your play style (except you’re actually good lol) and i rarely if ever use skill moves. can’t remember all of them or when to properly do them so i usually just do roulettes and ball rolls
All you have talked about in this video are the reasons that I get tired of FIFA22…I can stand with some stupid things like the tackle tax, but in some games my player’s response being slowed down is totally not acceptable, easily go down to 4-0, 5-0, I just can’t dribble and pass to the correct direction. my issue is also dribbel is too op or defense too bad. i can have games with 40% possession but have TWICE the amount of passes than my opponent.. how is that possible in football!? they just walk about like it's walking football...

Cut backs always work for my opponents even when I cover the pass. The only way I avoid them is to make the tackle on the passer because my players won't make the interception and even then my players Cant touch the ball even when I perfectly time the tackle
Tackling from behind makes no sense to me I don't get how they have so much influence on the ball in the situations I see I feel like I'm going crazy at this point
fifa 22 defence is riddiculous, i play with my friend offline and we score huge number of goal, not 5 not 7 not even 9 we score at least 10-11, i think EA not even care about defence

Id always love to do 433 but can’t because of how people sit back. Should I just go for it again? And do you recommend stay back on full backs when doing whatever, or still keep the basic things like that?(update, I changed to 433 and got into elite division)
Honestly when you play the game mode seasons, it's a lot much different. And passing and interceptions are much easier. I use FC Barcelona and I destroy noobs in div 2

I always love the opening 10 mins of the game when everything feels balanced. But that’s all I love. After I go 2 nil up the remaining 80 mins is a simulated mess which I have no control over.

I am at div 2 rank 1 and i deleted my club because i got frustrated with all the issues mentioned in the video. This is not a skill based game rather a game where winning is decided even before the game is played. All you need to do is to just run and pass the ball, miraculously you will score or AI will help you to score. I played a game where I tried to use my defender to clear a ball and ended heading into my own goal, and this is a game where I know I can win.
My favourite is the classic when your tracking a run down the wing and your defender hits that invisible wall and runs on the spot every second step

I play on pc so I have the old Gen I’m pretty sure and ppl just play low depth with 2cdm formations and it feels like u can’t break through while they don’t control anything
Yes I play on pc too, and I feel this mfs play defence so fucking different than people on consoles when I watch streams or play by myself rarely, they just select their fucking CDM and let the game do everything for them, and it does

@@x7srb Use fullbacks maybe. Im Elite but I only play with 4 attackers (4-2-3-1), u just have to be patient and pass around until u see an opening.

Anything over div 3 has no skill gap again its what players you have. Its always a random game you can win or lose 6 nil while having the same amount if shots and clear cut chances or a dull tense draw
I've only had FIFA 22 for about a week on old gen so I haven't seen all the big issues yet, but I've definitely felt the tackle tax and the game letting lazy passes go by when I'm well positioned. The other big issue I've been having is the game making passes go to the wrong players especially on through balls. Even when I switch to manual through balls, the game selects the wrong player to receive and kills my play.
Absolute spot on Analytics of the game.it feels real upto div 5 ..then u realize u have to spam the lt and left stick in order to make movement to beat the defenders....Great video ......No matter how intelligently u play..u have to spam buttons to overpower ur opponent other wise even a good tackle will not win u the ball back unless u spam the rb button to make an animation wer u get the ball back magically while taclking...Hope to see a game where our intelligence and reading of the game overpowers the opponent rather than the spam shit buttons doing the job......

my definition of two tackle taxs is class pressure, wen the opponent players have a higher class its like you playing on higher difficulty.
My personal opinion is that this is the most broken Fifa i have ever played. Not talking about overpowered stuff … I’m talking about actual basic mecanics of the game , passing and player movement/animations are litterally RNG , you don’t know what your player that you’re controlling might do all of a sudden from animation to Pass power. The basic commands are basically RNG and you don’t know what the button you press is gonna give you

I stopped playing after ea trial and it felt like EA had no clue how to fix any gameplay problems raised in previous years so just brought everything down a level to make it seem ‘fair’ and all aspects of the game equal, but in reality everything is equally bad which has just made the whole situation worse

A guy sent a through ball through my defense and when I read the play and sprint my defender was moving so slow, when I switch players, my defender AI controlled caught up to the opposing player, game makes no sense man.

After the newest patch, I'm suddenly getting significant input delay in about 80% of my matches. Elite Division player who regularly gets 14-16 wins a week in WL. Literally just since this patch last week (early November), the game has become nearly unplayable. It only seems to be affecting some users but seeing a LOT more people talking about the delay again since the last patch.
End of the day, what we want is a more balanced, rewarding and responsive game where we don't feel the game decides the result for us. The solutions will differ between each individual, obviously, but there are things that should have been fixed for years that the community largely agree on.
I’m starting to begin these “issues” have to be part of the game to make it balanced.
I think most of the criticism about Fifa 22 comes from people that get mad when they lose a game, including me but then I realise that I’m just worked up and FIFA is an extremely well made game.

It’s been an abusive way to score for a couple of years now and it’s really needs to be patched. That pass has a 95% success rate regardless of who’s making the pass and how open the pass actually is

The one thing I hate about FIFA 22 on new gen is defensive AI, and Fucking AI block. Im a Div 3-2 player and been in Div 1 on all other fifa and I can honestly say that there is no skill gap when it comes to defending. All play is people playing Drop back 1 depth and rely on fucking auto block and fucking superman goalkeepers to bail them out. People that play so defensive and just L1 Triangle abuse all game. Like damn, I remember going on 20 games win streak back in Fifa 16, 17, and 18 where there was a resemblance of a skill gap
4-4-2 drop back is cancer. You cant even shot from outside the Box, because every Player from him blocks every Player frome me
I hate the fact in FIFA 22 everyone's 90 pace, 90 pass, 90 defending, 90 everything so difference between positions doesn't matter. Everyone's 90-99 rated. I could get Gnabry on his full speed run and get taken over by a defender 10 meters away from me. It's stupid, and it's not football.

I have become average since FIFA 17, suddenly everyone who I was streamrolling in FIFA 14 and prior they are all competitive. Assistant passing has been screwing me try to cut passing lanes and directional nutmegs people are penetrating my defense effortlessly

Lets not talk about interceptions my defenders staring contest is on another level they don't stretch their legs at all as the passes millimeters from them. The tackle tax is a direct cause from constant pressure. To counter this have a well set up formation with constant pressure like a 442. This means players who use tactics well can counter this and win.
To contain a team better use midfielders with very high defensive stats and high work rates. Examples include paulinho and casemiro. Have a moderate attacking set up with wing backs balanced and midfielders on mostly balanced. Have marquinhos in you team. This also helps.
Using tactics correctly to the games characteristics. Think of it like football manager. At the end of day I am on directly controlling one player.

I like how you use situations where the horrendous gameplay worked in your favour to examplify how horrendous the gameplay is.
I only play CM on ultimate, with semi-manual passing/shooting & sliders to make it fit my style as well as possible. But I can barely get through a single match on this game.. It really saddens me how a game i've been casually playing since '98 (!!) has become completely unenjoyable.
And that's based on gameplay alone, not to mention to insane amount of bugs that particularly affect CM, like youth players & regens not having kitnumbers or names..

It's so obvious, by messing with your win rate they create a more addictive game. That's why on a game by game basis your team and opponent teams play inconsistently

When I have the ball, my players feel like trucks, take forever to react, not to mention turning. When I'm defending, everyone is on skaters, gliding through the pitch to ram on unaware opponents
And the constant pressure is so unrealistic, that's not how it works in real life. Constant pressure should move the lines up the pitch and press the ball, but leave huge gaps in behind for long through balls. But whoever designed this apparently never watched football before, because the man mark is bullshit.
Also, defenders in FIFA drop back too deep, keeping every attacker on side to receive the ball inside the box, inches away from goal. That's not how football works
Totally agree with that tackling epidemic. Need to get rid of that grab jersey animation in u ask me and increase the recovery of tackling. (Probably make the normal tackle last as long as the tackle when u hold ⭕️. N well the lack of possession based tackling is woeful.

Come home from a day out, jump on fifa, face ball roll scoop turns every game, first time ball rolls after a driven pass and skill cancels. I wish ea employees would go outside and try ball roll a driven pass first time or try a ball roll scoop and see how difficult and tiring it is before adding it to the game.
I firmly believe that if we become honest with ourselves and see the inexcusable nonsense that goes on in this game we can move forward (we are all guilty of it myself included). Exploiting a game and manipulating the game to your liking doesn't make you good nor does it make you a mastermind of the sport either. And yes Stallion i agree what you said we need a game with a fun game style but has the CORE Fundamentals of the sport that we love.

Frustrates the life out me that it’s even a thing, but wondering if I too go constant pressure (crazy right) would that help?
something i will say when you’re talking about the second man press yes, strikers can press, but messi has low defensive work rate, meaning he doesn’t overly press even when told. same thing with my OTW anderson talisca. he’ll press off kickoff but rarely press if i lose the ball high up the pitch, even if i tell him too.
besides that, everything you said is so true and i’m very similar to your play style (except you’re actually good lol) and i rarely if ever use skill moves. can’t remember all of them or when to properly do them so i usually just do roulettes and ball rolls

All you have talked about in this video are the reasons that I get tired of FIFA22…I can stand with some stupid things like the tackle tax, but in some games my player’s response being slowed down is totally not acceptable, easily go down to 4-0, 5-0, I just can’t dribble and pass to the correct direction. Keep telling myself there is no reason to pay for fifa points…

my issue is also dribbel is too op or defense too bad. i can have games with 40% possession but have TWICE the amount of passes than my opponent.. how is that possible in football!? they just walk about like it's walking football...
You are spot on , I think as the game just released we all want it to be good and we concentrate on the good things to make ourselves believe that this might be the year , but it’s the same trash same cycle of every week go and play against the same broken tactics which is drop back like a rat if your winning or tied and constant pressure if your loosing … no skill involved just dead ass tactics made to punish the better players . Add to that the inconsistent servers the mediocre rewards , the overhyped promos … it’s fifa 21 and 20 and 19 same shit different year

Cut backs always work for my opponents even when I cover the pass. The only way I avoid them is to make the tackle on the passer because my players won't make the interception and even then my players Cant touch the ball even when I perfectly time the tackle

fifa 22 defence is riddiculous, i play with my friend offline and we score huge number of goal, not 5 not 7 not even 9 we score at least 10-11, i think EA not even care about defence
Pre patch there was more cpu on defender and goalkeeper the game speed was slow post patch we have a new fifa 21 is totally trash at the moment

I’m in div 1 and I got rank 1 last weekend , I love how you say you play you’re own style and formation with success. Any tips for that? Id always love to do 433 but can’t because of how people sit back. Should I just go for it again? And do you recommend stay back on full backs when doing whatever, or still keep the basic things like that?(update, I changed to 433 and got into elite division)
Honestly when you play the game mode seasons, it's a lot much different. And passing and interceptions are much easier. I use FC Barcelona and I destroy noobs in div 2
