FH1 is a diamond in the rough, and like 99% of Horizon players today have never experienced it. It was as Horizon should've always been. A festival of cars and music

@@emmjayyguemo I like 4’s map, hud, mechanics, and gameplay better than the others. Of course there are aspects of others that I like, like 5’s humongous highway or the convertible system, but I still like 4 the most. Everyone has an opinion though, and I’m gonna respect yours

FH1 is the goat honestly. It's the beginning of the whole series and actually had a soul put in it
For real, I finally got it running using Xenia and boy does it feel nostalgic, as if this was something I used to play in 2012. All these years later still feels unique
The music selection in Horizon 1 was perfect, but it also made you feel something different carving canyons or drifting down the mountain. Not only were the songs great, but you would also hear similar songs in the current car community at the time! I still listen to the Horizon playlist’s in real life. Favorite song is “Hawaiian Air” on “Horizon Pulse” when I’m going to car meets, or just cruising.

FH4 is actually great, the setting is cool, the graphics are top notch and the weather system as well as the wildlife adds a special dynamic to the game

@@he8535 yup, nostalgia+age. Do you know those cheap shitty chocolates that kids love? Even if they taste horrible, it's just sugar without any chocolate taste, leaves a buttery feeling in your mouth (and not the good kind). But those kids love it, why? Because they didn't have better, they didn't taste hundreads of chocolates like we did. It's like eating a sponge cake when you never had anything sweet in your life: it's the best thing ever. But once you get some red velvet cake, some chocolate mousse? That sponge cake will be bland and boring.
Also nostalgia, for example where I live people play Metin2 A LOT. The game is absolute trash, yet I still played it for 10 years. Not because I had any real fun at the end of my journey, but because I was nostalgic, I played that game when I was 7, I had fond memories of it.
So combine people's nostalgia for the older games (which are worse in comparasion to the newer games) and the fact that they have a distinguished taste for games nowdays after experiencing hundreads upon hundreads of games, and you get disappointed gamers that call everything mid. Kids who play those games LOVE them, ask them in 10-15 years and they will say it was the most perfect game ever, the very game people call mid and bad nowdays.

Ngl Forza 2,3,4 is nostalgic as they all has great soundtrack and the time that mostly makes you feel like you’re more alive by playing the game. And i can say while listening to Never Die on FH4 it brings a tear to a mans eye remembering every forza golden era

The first Forza was the first game that really caught me on the forza series and the nostalgia beats the feel of the newer releases imo.

I played the first one when I was six and I gotta say 1 2 and 3 got me my favs are 1 and 3 then 2 5 4 in that order 5 is good for me just hasn’t the same magic ya know? It’s there but not as much while four for me was absolutely void of any magic for some reason
3 was just good vibes all around. The community was amazing aswell. Every multiplayer server had a car meet roleplay, racing group and everyone would get together to do infection every 20 minutes or so. Roaming around was so relaxing. The map was the perfect size. Large enough for diversity but small enough not to be an empty void. 3 for me was the best overall but 2 has the best motorway. Going 250+ mph while dodging cars and going over little bumps. Such good games. Shame they just make the map bigger and call it a day nowadays

FH3 got me Into cars when I was 12. Still love that game. FH4 and FH5 shove online in your face and just don’t feel the same
I miss Horizon Colorado 2012, it was just a simpler time. I remember I was 12 years old when this game came out and I would just come home turn on my 360 and once I started playing It felt like I got transported to the festival. All mental struggles of mine just evaporated and I loved the visuals of driving around through a place that felt like home. It had beautiful trees, buildings, sunsets and of course beautiful cars. I partied at the festival and I think we all did. Unfortunately in this universe everything has a set lifespan even the universe itself. So make every bit of your life count, make your life fun it will only come once. So my final message is make life your horizon!

4 is underrated. I like the system of how they give you cars and MOST cars that are tough to get still aren't paywalled. don't like clothes customization. but it was kinda needed so everyone doesn't have every car.
I think theres something amazing about the first Forza Horizon that none of the sequels have been able to capture. The first one had soul.

Best Online is subjective but personally I've had more issued with friends disconnecting in 5 then I ever did with 4
There aren't more gamemodes than 4 and most of them that do exist are rehashes and some of the fun ones that have been requested like Team Adventure were not reimplemented

It’s not just the nostalgia mate, it is also that 4 and 5 don’t have proper progression, they give you lots of cars and money for doing nothing at all. The grind that the first 2 games made you do to made it all worth it when you finally bought that one car you have been drooling over. Also they have very forgettable soundtracks with half of the lyrics being censored (the worst offender being Industry Baby), while the first games had more memorable soundtracks that made you feel like you were in an actual music festival. Also the older games had more interesting and memorable characters, while 4 and 5 have very generic and forgettable characters with little personality. Also every character in Thais games is so damn nice and cheerful all the time, while in the older games (at least in FH1) there were antagonists to root against, not everyone was friendly towards you and you had to fight your way to the top, while in the new ones you are just given everything without much effort, I mean they might as well crown you Horizon Champion at the start of the game. And this is why the older titles are better than 4 and 5, it’s not just the nostalgia.

The progression of having 0 free roam in fh1 to having a slight amount in fh2 to completely balls to the wall drive until the steering wheel falls off 280+mph off-road in fh3 was a fuckin blast to experience.
I think the exhaust sound being able to be modified was what we all wanted from fh5

@@jonanddyA little? They slapped some mexican sculptures all over the map with lots of foliage and called it a day. FH1 and FH2 (XOne) are the best by far because of how you get involved in the game. FH3 was... alright, good game and setting but a bit bland and dated graphics. FH4 was simply dull and overwhelming with challenges and crap, and FH5 is simply wheelspin simulator.

there's just something about starting a new game on horizon 1 10 years after first time playing it and you hear that radio kick in.

@@Franek5550 I think map equally gets hate for being set in the UK calling it bland... ,I personally like the setting . It may fall short on terrain diversity but i dont mind it they packed some really good roads with decent elevation changes and good landmarks. Ripping past windmills in Moorhead Farm , The road from Glen rannoch to ambleside ,The coastal road to Edinburgh and Arthur's seat were some of my favourites they are very scenic!

Forza horizon 2 has the best music , the best vibes and the best map to do basically everything. Good dragstrips , small towns where you can pull a nice drift and nice mountain roads near the coast. Also what made it fun is the room for 0 error , a tree is solid and not made out of cardboard. The parking lots always ended up in good free roam lobbies

So glad I got FH3 bundled with my One S back in 2016. Must've played it from a month after launch...up until today. Ive recently gotten back into it for the achievements haha

Fh5 is best in my opinion, and technically 🤓.
Just beat map detail (but austrlia best location) most polished driving because it’s newest and cool graphics and fun. Drifting is also amazing, so is customising and I just think it’s perfect, never understood why every loved fh2 so much. It’s a good game but not the greatest of them all in my opinion. I respect your choice but fh5 is on another level to fh4
FH1 is and will always be the best. It’s just not up for discussion. The rest are though. It had the music, the festival vibe, the best story, the best map. The only weak part of that game was the quite limited selection of cars
FH1 you either experienced it in its prime, in which case you’ll agree, or you didn’t, in which case you can’t comment on it. FH1 also used the same engine, just slightly tweaked, that forza motorsport 4 used, which is still the best engine out of any of the forza games. FM4 and FH1 are certified hood classics

I'd say horizon 1 would've been perfect with maybe a touch more cars and a more open map but still an epic game.

As someone who tried FH5 on Gamepass and went back to buy 2 through 4 AND a g920 wheel, I can tell you all that theyre all equally incredible when youre not nostalgic about the first few.
I got fh3 a year after it came out. Back when turn 10 was actually “from the ground up”

Now that we've had 5 for over 2 years. We now see how good FH4 actually was
