  • This Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 video shows how to use the TBM 930 GARMIN G3000 (Full tutorial) avionics system of the very popular TBM 930. As the TBM 930 is only stock aircraft then we know not to expect too much from the on-board navigation equiptment from MSFS 2020. But what we do have is, for now sufficient for our flying needs. So, jump aboard the TBM and let me walk you through this G3000 systems TUTORIAL. Please do remember to LIKE and SUBSCRIBE to help this channel to grow. Thanks for your support!

    With regards to the discussion about radios ~39 minutes in: This feature allows you to choose what radio(s) you are monitoring or transmitting on, as you correctly pointed out. As far as practical use goes, you’ll notice that while you can only transmit on one radio at a time (makes sense), you can monitor both radios simultaneously. In the real world, this would allow us to monitor guard (121.5) and ATC at the same time. It’s also handy for monitoring ATIS without having to leave the ATC or UNICOM freq. Overall very informative tutorial. Thanks for uploading.

    I am pretty sure the "121.5" button loads that freq into COM1, for emergencies. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aircraft_emergency_frequency
    Also, MFD stands for Multi Function Display, not Main.

    Can you enter longitude + latitude for a custom waypoint?

    • @NaviSim101
      @NaviSim101  Před 2 lety

      Hi. Whilst it will show you the longitude and latitude of waypoints that are available in its database, i.e airports bearing and distance, I can't see how to search via this means. Hope this info helps. Thanks for watching! ~Rm😉

    With respect I found you mumbling,unsure of some aspects and you should have zoomed in more on the areas.Did not know where the arrow was most of the time.

    Hi, I'm pretty new to flight sims. I was wondering if there is a chance you could also do a full tutorial for the Cessna 152. The main reason I ask is because I'm so new but wanting to learn, but there is so much information on this plane. I get I guess you could say bombarded with information. So I wanted to ask for a simpler plane. If not it is ok, thank you for reading. 😶

      Hi there! Welcome to the flightsim community! As regards your request, I have a couple of projects lined up but yes it is possible to do a full tutorial on the C152 but I'll have to research the aircraft thoroughly and perform a few flights then get to work on the recording part so it might take a short while. In the meantime did you know that MSFS 2020 has a very good flight training program? All you need to do is load up the aircraft and you should see it in the welcome screen on the bottom left window. Hope this helps. Thanks for posting! 😶

      @@NaviSim101 Ah hi! I have tried the training program that MSFS added. But I feel it wasn't in depth enough for me seeing the difference from your videos compared to the tutorial I played out. But maybe I'm missing something.😅 Thank you though and thanks for replying! 😄

    Almost a great vid, but at 15:30 you talk about the buttons at the bottom of the screen , yet completely miss out saying what the 5 buttoms. left of centre, do. eg. Traffic Inset? - OBS? PFD settings? At 20:50 you speak of the height bugs, but when you set the minimum to 100', why is the screen showing the indicator arrow at c1870'? Why don't you say anythng about that?
    OMG, this is getting worse! 38:45 - MIC/MON - You start by saying you don't kow what they're for or what they're about (I suggest YOU do some research BEFORE posting a 'tutorial'!!) You finish by, glibly saying, after just randomly pressing buttons, that's what it's for, but you don't say or show WHAT it's for - do YOU actually know?? You say - 'it's a feature, it's working' but you DON'T KNOW what it's for, or what its features are!

      Thanks for your observation. Please note that the G3000 mod was in it's very early stage of development and was way off from the vesion 9.6 that we have now. Not everything could be covered. Hope you found something positive from the video. Thanks for watching anyway. ~Rm
