And yes, I chose a main that was none of these 5 cubes. The Valk is just that good (for me).
A few things I forgot to mention: I'm actually pretty sure that the newer GES are compatible with the GES of the XS and X v2 (the blue thingies), I just need to play around with them some more. Also I forgot to review the Max lubes: they are great! I wouldn't rely on them as a standalone lube combo because I still get more out of Silk/Traxxas in certain situations, but I highly recommend them.

Yellow springs are the tightest,Green is a bit weaker, Blue is in the middle, Purple is the loosest
i was so happy to see derpy get new cubes it was killing me to see him still using the worm
For Gan 356 M the springs from strongest to weakest are yellow - green - blue - purple respectively.

I got the X V2 after months using an XS because I always heard that the X V2 had better controllability and I needed that, but when it arrived I was also disappointed. Its kind of relieving to hear that someone has the same tension problem with it, it doesn't matter how tight you make it, it's always loose and unstable.
The gan xs and x v2 both come with dark blue nuts instead of the light blue nuts. the dark blue nuts allow for tensions on 2 and 4. Also, the 356m comes with the same ges color scheme as the old ges nuts
The GAN XS has 4 tension settings. In the bag that held the tensioning tool there was another set of blue thingies. Very in-depth, helpful video though!

The dark blue screw things that come on the tool have the 2 and 4 tension settings
You can switch the light blue with the dark blue nut at the gan cubes so that you have 4 settings
with the x v2 try tacking out the blue and clear peice and putting in the yellow springs from the 356 m it made mine so much better
Daniel the XS has 4 tension settings, settings 2 and 4 are on the dark blue ones that come with the cube

I really like the centre edge magnets of the Valk elite
The gan x v2 is always loose because the corners seem to pull away or slightly detach from the corner stock to fix this just push inward on the corners with a good amount of force. The corners are like this due to the fact that they are made from 2 parts for the 2 types of plastic. Even with being able to fix the issue it still wasn’t good because I had to fix the cube every solve.
No joke I got out of the shower and saw this and dident even bother getting dryed or dressed until thieves done 😂this was awsome vid derpy l😎

I also felt that way about my valk! Far too tight out of the box, took it apart, cleaned it set it up and I still can't figure out how to get it to suit me. For now I just use it as my travel cube so I can take it everywhere and won't lose any sleep if it gets damaged.
The blue pieces that comes in the box of the xs, have other options for customization, which are 2 and 4, and the light blue ones that are in the cube, have 1 and 3. So you have 4 settings

you can switch the edges of the xv2 with the 356m to have the ges, and swapable magnets

If you want to get the x v2 tighter than make sure to switch the blue things to dark blue because those ones are tighter
There is a diagram for the GES pro, and 1 has the less cornercuting but more stable, and 4 is looser but it can have cornertwist, and also you adjust the the white part with the tool, personally the 2 in the dark blue, all the way down on the white part, and the x v2 is faster as the xs but controllable as the 356 m also you should try to lube it well
there is 4 tension because the tool for spring has dark ones that have 2 and 4

Good review, I've tried every setup there is and I still have better tps on the valk elite than my 356M. I even polished the faces to be glossy and it feels really good but I still lock on both tension settings. I think I would get used to it If i only used the gan for a month without picking up the valk. But what's the point ya know.

Actually the Gan 356m springs is backwards compatible with the Gan x v2 and the Gan Xs, just remove the blue and clear thingys in the xs and x v2 and then put in the 356m springs
