Great question John. The glass is layered in a clean room type environment then ran though a machine on rollers that apply pressure and heat. The combination of pressure and heat chemically and mechanically bond the pvb or vinyl to the glass.

Thank you for posting informative video. Will there be any distortion in edges of tempered laminated glass at 180 degree viewing angle? If yes, to what extent it is acceptable?

Great question. tempered glass can have some distortion due to the tempering process. Better tempering plants tend to product less distortion however this is never totally eliminated. Most companies state that if the distortion is not visible from 10 feet this is acceptable. Different states and different countries may have different standards.

We have some imported dark laminated glass full sheets in our shed for more than five years now and
have seen stain on the surface. Is there any way to clean or remove stain????

John Kulu I would try pumice use it dry and use your bare hand then clean off with glass cleaner see if that helps

NEERAJ JAIN no there are lots of tempering and laminating plants depending on your location there are probably only 1-4 you can pick from so it would make no sense to recommend any as the majority of people won’t be close enough.

Hey glass guy how would this glass hold up for an aquarium build? My local tank builder uses 2x 5mm to make a 10mm laminate for a 6ft tank that's 2ft high.

Cleaton93 unfortunately I don’t know anything about aquariums. I believe most are made from tempered or acrylic not laminated. But I could be wrong.

@@theglassguy5564 you are right they are I was just asking because my local builder uses laminated glass 2x 5mm sheets and there is alot of mixed reviews because of the constant water pressure around 390L that people think would split the laminate with the flexing and the water being kept at 26-28° degrees. Just thought I'd ask a professional thank you for your help.

Thank you aziz farmer I’m not a fish tank guy but the bottom is typically tempered safety glass I believe
