i have a passat B5.5 1.8T.. anyones know if its possible to swap it with a V5/VR5 with a turbo + DSG? ( the 170HP stock V5/VR5..?) My passat has ZERO rust.. and is in great shape
The gearbox from the 3.2 vr6 fits plug and play same as the flywheel i used a BUB flywheel nothing has to be changed in terms of bolts ons only a small needle bearing that needs to go in the pilot bearing
I would have a lot of questions if you don't mind. But most of all i'm intersted in how hard is it to fit the transmission, are costume parts necessary, or can i just bolt on aftermarket staff that is made for the 2.8 vr6?

@@TorpedoStudios i own both a mk4 170 vr5 automatic and a mk4 150 vr5 automatic the 150 is my main car and the chassis of 170 is too rusted to save so was tinking of taking it all out and puting it in the 150 and then do the turbo and dsg swap

That one is going to get a bit hard as there arent any dsg Bellhousings for a Longditudal VR engines

All VR gearboxes are the same bolt pattern 2.3 2.8 3.2 3.6 doesnt matter

It isnt the wiring of the dsg that’s hard its the me7 swap and abs/esp conversion that is hard

Me7.1 Automaat ecu van de Passat AZX En AQN kabelboom nee voor de dsg heb ik een apparte boom gemaakt maar dat is niet heel moeilijk

@@lgmilan46 nee dsg zit aangesloten op de drive train bus (Canbus) verbinding en nog 2x + 2x - 1x switched en 1x K line zoals orgineel
