In the past, religious Thai people liked to travel to Sri Lanka very much. Because Sri Lanka and Thailand practice the same sect of Buddhism. Thai people's feelings towards Sri Lankans are We are different nations that share the same religion. Access to life seems easy because of the Buddhist concept. I myself would like to visit Sri Lanka once. But now Sri Lanka is experiencing severe economic problems. I hope they get through this well. to support this country
I just got back from SL a couple weeks ago .. it was amazing!! People are amazing ! Food is amazing! How long are you in SL for .. we booked our train ride a month before our trip lol .. some travel bloggers said to book early . Have fun ! Drink lots of tea !
Normally people get lined up at the entrance of the temple of the tooth relic between 9.30 to 11 am due to the special puja(A religious activity) taking place inside the temple. And believe me taking a walk around the Kandy lake is so soothing. Thank u so much for visiting my home town❤😄
I took the train from Kandy to Ella and wasn't lucky to get a seat. 😅 8 hours standing in such a crowded train... it was really an experience I won't forget. Still I would do it again.

Hello there. Can I may ask you a question? I wanted to visit Sri Lanka in August. I wanted mainly to get around by a local diver(s) since I cant drive moped. But I am unsure with the petrol situation. Do you recommand visiting Sri Lanka as a tourist if you want to get around?
@Jan Kaufmann we can‘t really tell you since we left Sri Lanka a few weeks ago. Due to editing and upload times our videos are always a few weeks delayed. Perhaps someone else in the comments can answer you 🙏🏼

To be honest I don't know whether it will be any better since the inflation is rising up here, but I'm sure you can find a local driver (he'll do bare the brdens of refueling and all.. ), since some of my friends in the business at downsouth Sri Lanka. And sure you can enjoy the beauty of the country and experience the wonders without any issue here, since tourism is on of the main forieng income here, and the government will do all they can to be save the industry. And We appreciate if you can visit us, It'll help a lot to our economy during the crisis.
That train was full to capacity. Probably due to wesak (most important day for budhist world over) holidays . Kandy is the cultural city of Srilanka Beautiful place lots of locals visits Kandy. My beautiful home town. Thanks for all the lovely comments, your vloggings will tempt more tourists to visit Srilanka. Because you always gives the true picture of all the places you visits. If you ever get stomach ache or food poisoning while in Srilanka go to a fruit shop & buy a BELLY FRUIT (ripe) Just eat it .your stomach will settle very quickly. Have a safe and happy journey. The reason for such a huge crowd at the train is current oil problem in Sri Lanka. Without Petrol there is no bus service, so people tend to go by train. Anyway, sorry for your inconvenience at Kandy.
The Dosa both of you had is an Indian food. But it's not exactly Indian. If you try Dosa in India it will taste much different. This is not the same locals eat every day. If daily local food, it will be smaller Dosa (more than one) with a vegetable curry and Sambol or chutney. Balagi Dosa shop in Kandy is quite famous and have many outlets throughout the city. All vegetarian. Once again thank you for visiting Sri Lanka during this hard time. Your vlogs are so nice!!
