Think of Me has always been a fav from Phantom.
I believe Shen was firstly trained in baritone but later found his calling in the tenor.
Singing in the lower register is achievable for him but the 'falsetto' range is actually his true voice. He mentioned in an interview on how he was bullied for his voice when he was young and severely lacked confidence in his voice prior to attaining fame.
Despite China has a long history of male opera singers singing female roles, there has always been a stigma attached when a male singing in 'female' ranges. I think Shen was one of the few, if not the one, changed the younger generation's view on this 'feministic' stigma. The public no longer views his act through a colored lens, but as an accomplished singer. He has kept an ever-positive attitude against all the criticisms; for that, he deserves all the applaud.

Zhou Shen sings so well, and his voice is so beautiful. I recommend you can listen ''Time to say goodbye'' ''Memory'' or ''The Lonely Shepherd''. He performed very well. I really like his singing. I won't get bored many times.
Hey there, me and my mum already listened to time to say goodbye and memory, which were great, but we will listen to the lonely shepherd in the future!
Zhou Shen studied clasical music in university in Ukraine and was formaly trianed as a tenor and has a very powerful voice in the tenor range. His high pitch range is natural because his voice did not drop during puberty. He is self trained in the soprano range. He can sing like a choir boy, listen to him sing Caro Mio Ben from Super Vocal. Also listen to the following : "Purcell Ah! how pleasant tis to love Zhou Shen ", where he sings in his full tenor voice, and "The Lonely Goatherd" from Super Vocal.
