let me just say the quality of this video for such a small channel is amazing
Reading your comment made me so happy! Thank you so much ☺
I think you're wise to use the USB MIDI to drive a drum kit VST. Even on my Roland kit i found the kits quite uninspiring. I ended up buying EzDrummer in the Black Friday sale along with some kits i liked the sound of. Totally transformed my recordings, and my practice. If your PC/audio interface are fast enough, you should find the latency is good enough for practising via the VST :)
Looks like it's a common problem, huh. That's actually a great idea to practice via VST as well, not just recording. I'll have to give it a try! Thanks for the suggestion!
EzDrummer indeed seems like a solid choice-I'll definitely check it out. Cheers to latency that behaves itself!
Great review! How long have you been playing and were you self taught or took lessons?
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! Yes, I'm self taught, in a sense that I don't have a teacher to correct my mistakes - I used different online classes to learn things. I played on this drumkit since September. Before that I used a practice drumpad and imitated drums by air-drumming for about 4 months on and off.
@@PineappleMusicGirl oh nice! I’m buying a condo soon with a basement and thinking of maybe buying this or one of the competitors of similar price and a subscription to Drumeo
@@jorgedelgado8364 wow, very cool! congratulations! Yep, I used Drumeo too - lots of great teacher there. Might be a little overwhelming with the amount of courses and packs they have, but you can always just stick with their "Method" path.
where did you buy it from?
Can I do a drum cover using an IRIG with Dinner module?
If you want to record sounds coming from the drum kit - the Donner module have an audio output to do that. I don't use iRig, but I assume it works as a sound interface that you connect to a recording device? To record, you'll need to find a proper cable to connect a drum kit to iRig. The output on Donner module accepts 1/4" cable jack - either stereo, or mono.
@@PineappleMusicGirl Thank you sir

I'm just wondering how quite it is. I live in an apartment
in the video i demonstrate the amount of sound it makes - starts around 3:52
In general sitting in the same room with a person playing drums might be annoying (if you don't hear actual drums but the noisy part) - it's a lot of knocking and banging, but if you are in another room (especially if you close the door) - it doesn't bother anyone. The loudest part is probably a bass drum kick.
