am i the only one who’s bothered that his eyes don’t match up with the helmet’s eyes???
Not alone mate. It looks bad. Unless he looked through the nostrils of the helmet, then its spot on. 👌🏽

Definitely the best Obi-Wan figure ever made in 3.75'' so far in terms of his likeness to Ewan. And Vader, just tremendous! What a great 2 pack!
This looks so good, I’m happy I was able to get a pre-order for them. I think this might be my favorite look for Obi-Wan. And the Vader looks excellent
Vader’s eyes don’t line up with the lenses on the helmet. It’s more in line with the nose.
Obi-wan’s head looks a little small compared to his shoulders/torso but overall looks great!

In my opinion this was a fantastic set to debut this new expression in the line with. Both figures are some of the best versions of those characters we’ve seen. I can’t wait to see what other 2 packs we get!
We all love TVC, but inching up the price to $20 a figure is all they're doing here. Don't get it twisted, haha, the two figs here are great, but $20 3.75" figs will kill the line.
It's sad because it appears that the line has received a bit of a jolt since the last couple HasLabs & it'll keep ppl from buying 9, 10, 15 figures from the line as opposed to just 2 or 3, or whatever bcuz of the price. If you dont believe me, just look at how quick those $5 & $6 Yodas, EndorLeias, R2s have been selling at discount outlets. People really want to be a part of TVC, but not when you get just over 5x figs for a Benjamin. That's just crazy
Another great video Tim. Really liking the look of both of these. Real improvement in Obi WAN’s face and the helmet and Ansking sculpt looks fantastic. Will make a nice little display 👍
Actually found this at a GameStop this week. Ultimately passed on it but informed a friend I had seen the two pack and he proceeded to go purchase it and GameStop staff said “this shouldn’t be out on shelves right now and we can’t sell it to you.”
I’m still kind of meh about this set. There’s been a whole lot of figures that have dropped the past month or so and this just isn’t a priority to me.

Great review Tim! Was on the fence (as they’ve done so little for the Kenobi series) but that Obi-Wan looks amazing so it’s a must have. Would love to see a 4-pack of obscure Jedi: Cin Drallig, Tarados Gon, Sora Bulq, Rodian Jedi using this tooling

Looking at the two Vader headsculpts together, it seems to me that Hasbro did as much as they could to make the ROTJ one look like Sebastian Shaw while still acknowledging that canonically he's supposed to look like Hayden Christensen. If Lucasfilm won't let them base their sculpts on pre-Special Edition stuff then I appreciate the effort, at least.
Kinda disappointed with this set though. It looks like it's impossible to get the eyes lined up with the mask properly, even though they match perfectly on every single promo photo Hasbro has put out. That's borderline false advertising and it's inexcusable in a premium-priced closed box set. Also I was hoping any new Jedi bodies would have layers of very thin plastic for the clothing clothing on the torso, so that they can hold the lightsaber with both hands in front of them much easier. There's not much point to a new Jedi sculpt if they can't hold their lightsabers any better than the old one
I got the pack, and you absolutely can line the eyes on the head up with the eyes of the helmet. It just takes a little bit of fiddling with to get it fully proper.

I saw the black series Darth Vader of this. I got the one where his helmet comes off instead.
That Darth Vader face reminds me of Uncle Fester from the Addams family. Lol
I agree they should have used an image of Vader with the battle damage to his helmet, but I can see their thought process in that the two cardbacks stand for their starting poses at the beginning of the duel. Even still, that image goes against the “duels end” parentheses as that image is more so the “duels beginning” 🤪
I like the 2-pack, and would love to see more. UGH, I wish both of them came with alternate "force-using" hands. Especially since this was such a force-heavy duel.
They really fumbled the Vader cardback. Could’ve been great having the broken mask fac.

Hasbro Pulse just notified me that this will ship soon for me....but their soon is one to two weeks from now, lol. I will be happy to get it whenever regardless.
Due to the limited articulation, I think this set is perfect for displaying the "I'm not your failure, Obi Wan" scene on shelf, and leave the duelling poses for something like SH yogurts instead.
I know what you mean about having three Kenobi and two Vader figures from this show without many other characters. Once upon a time, either one of these characters would have anchored an entire wave of figures based on "Obi-Wan Kenobi." These days a decent portion of the figures come from a Droid Factory 4-pack. A 4-pack of Inquisitors would have made a good Battle Pack back in the day.
I don't mind the mis match up of the eye height, the OG Battle damaged Vader figure had very missmatched eyes (the lens was way too high compared to where it should be) so for me, it's not too much of a deal breaker. I can completely understand wanting it to be fixed in 2023. But Hasbro.
I might grab this if it’s ever on offer. Just a shame about the Vader card back and on the Vader figure with his eyes out of alignment with his helmet

Great OBI-WAN cardback. It's crazy how early you guys get shit across the pond.
I was debating the vader at least if i could get him loose, but that height difference on the eye pieces.. hard pass.
I still got a bunch of force unleashed damaged vaders they look much better imo, shame i can't just mix and match abit to get the updated body.
Vader’s eyes don’t line up. The inner eye is way below the eye lens of the helmet. It looks goofy. Saw another review pointing that out too. It is what it is though. I’ll probably pose mine with Obi-Wan’s lightsaber embedded in the helmet gash anyway.
Re: Obi, the sheen on his tunic almost looks like it’s carbonized…remember those gimmick TVC/BS figures? Could be your lighting, but it definitely has a shine to it.

the kenobi looks great but I don’t want them to use that torso for other Jedi because they didn’t take into consideration two handed lightsabers poses. While it can be done, the resulting pose is a two handed lightsaber pose right up against the body. Hasbro needs to make that part narrower or use soft goods for the outer tunic.

Hi BB, a question for Q&A show. Do you think that HASBRO may release from the excellent VISIONS show - 'THE DUEL' the KUROSAWA inspired characters and actual episode was some of the best STAR WARS in terms of design and energy the series has had in many moon. Love the 'show', a pleasure to watch when episodes drop,
Not a fan of the 2-pack: they raise the price to $20 per figure and don't eliminate any plastic packaging. I don't care about the plastic issue, but why make the bubbles and then put them in a box? Most carded collectors are going to remove them to display, making the 2-pack format completely pointless.
I'm only annoyed that kenobi doesnt have better wrist articulation
Really great 2 pack, both of these figures are excellent with the obi wan being probably the best obi wan in TVC. The only thing I don’t like is the Vader card back. The show has been out for a good year now, it would have made for one of the best card backs in the line to have a shot of Vader with the split in his mask on it.
Dark Times Vader Cardback is pretty duff too, dont know why , all the Obi ones have been top tier
Seeing as the whole helmet is removable, is it possible to rotate the helmet forward so his eyes line up with the eye lenses on the helmet?
Yes, I just got the set and, while it took a little bit of fiddling with it, I was very much able to align the eyes.

I think so yeah. The split mask annoy me a little. The ANH version next year could be the best Vader we have ever had.

Nice video, as usual. It would have been useful to have seen how the new Obi-Wan figure compares to the two previous releases from the new series, as you did with the Vader figure. I was a bit surprised you didn't mention or notice the position of the eyes on the Vader figure that doesn't align with the eyepieces - this is a big drawback for me. Lastly, you said we have had no other figures from the series, but we did get Reva (3rd Sister), Teeka (Jawa), the Purge Trooper, and soon to come, the Grand Inquisitor. Minor quibbles. Keep up the good work.

i had this set in my hand at gamestop so i cancelled my amazon preorder and then when i went to pay the guy said it was street dated and couldnt sell it to me. big sad
Either vader looks to big or obi-wan looks to small? The scale doesn't look right when you put the 2 figures side by side?

It's a shame as that Vader is such a beast that the cardback and TDT cardback just fall a little short
Think I must be the only one who doesn't like this Obi-Wan. I don't think the likeness is there, and without soft goods doesn't feel like a TVC jedi. Also, in every picture I've seen, it looks as if Vader's eyes don't line up.
I don't need multiple Obi-Wans or Vaders so give us some new characters please Hasbro. Happy to pass on this one and save my pennies for something else.
