My favorite videos are the ones where people remove the music and insert realistic sounds (like HSM without music). So this absolutely made me crack up.

This movie put her being a vampire in the trailer so most people already know she is a vampire the only way I can see someone being surprised is if they haven’t seen the trailer good on y’all for managing not to indirectly come across the trailer. Movies like this need to stop putting their major reveals in the trailer.

Abigails father is actually hinted at being Dracula. He says that he's "gone by many names", and the original title for the film was Draculas Daughter before they changed it to Abigal. Love your reaction, as always!!

The Dance with Abigail and Sammy set to Blood and Tears by Danzig is one of my new favorite moments in a modern horror movie. It is so fucking cool!
This scene was cool although I kinda of wish they used this song during Abigail's first melee attack, when they try to get her.

Frank's transformation into a vampire was certainly different to other transformations we've seen in other vampire movies. I think all that blood he regurgitated was his entire human blood supply that was being forced out of his body by the vampire blood he drank.

@@TwilightLink77 true as each transformation from drinking vampire blood as seen in other films are different like in Bram Stoker's Dracula and Interview With The Vampire for example.
@@Spindler2007 Yep even Twilight and Vampire Diaries has different versions of a transformation into a vampire. Twilight = venom, TVD = vampire blood in your system then die for 24 hours, and drink human blood to complete the transition into a vampire. Even Bit is only being bitten, and your blood being drank.
@@TwilightLink77 indeed. In Bram Stoker's Dracula, it was a very slow and somewhat painful transition similar to that of an illness or disease. In IWTV, it was a quick and very painful transition as the vampire blood causes the body to die before the transformation is complete.
Another good example of a vampire transformation is Taste the Blood of Dracula where Dracula's servant drinks his blood as part of a ritual to resurrect him causing the servant to collapse in pain and then slowly die. The transformation begins when a strong wind blows sand and dirt covering the servant's body and then disperses to reveal the servant had transformed into Dracula.

I watched this last night, bought cuz my soul said it would be worth it. IM OBSESSED. Baby girl was paying ERRRRRRRBODYS rent and mortgages, sending kids to college, she ate that role UP. Matilda was great too, im so excited to see this girl just fllourish!

This was so fun to watch in the cinema, Alisha Weir ATE THIS ROLE UP, she literally was Matilda in Matilda the Musical and then her next movie is this?! ICONIC.
The titular character actress was amazing. I hope she has a long career ahead of her especially doing so well at only 14 yo. I personally loved this movie plus I am a fan of the main cast anyways. I rooted for Abigail the entire time, play with your food girl! And I did not expect that cameo, but also a huge fan!
I saw this in the theater the weekend it came out and it was 100% worth it! It's camp and hilarious and probably the best vampire movie that's come out in the last several years. Just so much fun with hints at a bigger universe that could turn into a weird vampire franchise. Loved the reaction!
I wouldn't be surprised if they introduce werewolves and have a Underworld/What We Do In the Shadows faceoff movie.

I absolutely loved this movie! Alisha Weir is amazing as always. She was amazing in the Matilda musical for Netflix, so I knew her acting here would be amazing too. Melissa and Kathryn were gems as usual, and I love my Canadian bro Kevin Durrand in everything he is in. It didn't surprise me that they got Matthew Goode to play Abigail's father Kristoff. I wish we got more of him. Hopefully there will be a sequel...or even a prequel?
This is currently my favorite horror movie of the year and I don’t particularly care for vampire horror. So color me surprised I came out loving this movie.

The houses were very similar to me as well, always love a castle/mansion setting in a horror movie

There is something about iconic little girls kicking everybody’s ass (and surviving) that scratches something in my brain. Plus, the movie was GOOD!

I literally just realised that the original Universal horror movies (including Dracula,) used Swan Lake as their opening title card music.
It was probably about 15 years ago my friends and I took all our kids to the DC zoo and saw Giancarlo Esposito there. He was super nice and took a pic with us.
Matthew Goode Is a god among men. He also played a sexy daddy Vampire in a discovery witches.
One of my favorites of this year so glad your watching so much fun and between this and Lisa Frankenstein Kathryn Newton is a scream queen
I was honestly surprised by how much I enjoyed Abigail. I enjoyed the cheeky humour of it paired with the horror and gore. I enjoyed the pacing of it. The two leading actresses both absolutely killed it. They both had me rooting for them, even when they were on opposing sides.
I actually enjoyed the pacing - particularly because we could see more of the mansion which actually offered hints towards the upcoming danger. Repeated imagery depicting a girl resembling Abigail with a tall father and the crest on the floor of the library -which heavily resembles the Dracula crest from old Universal movies. Speaking of old Dracula, if I recall correctly the 1931 Dracula opened with the same song as Abigail. Another detail - And Then There Were None. If I remember the plot of that book correctly, it's another layer of Abigail fucking with Frank since the book is about people being picked off one by one in the middle of nowhere locked in some old house.

Fun fact! The directors were so impressed by Alisha's dancing that they added more dance sequences to the film.

I've just started watching your reactions and I must say they're very entertaining. Abigail is a great vampire movie. My favorite vampire is the 1922 classic Nosferatu it's truly terrifying.

The way Kathryn Newton said: "I'm here" after crawling out of the dead body pool reminds me of my classmate who, after witnessing the immediate aftermath of a horrible terrorist attack, came slightly late to class to do our group project.
I loved this movie and the unexpected turn it took! I had a great time in the theater! When I tell you, that little girl who played Abigail TINA TURNT IT! Loved the casting too and Melissa Barrera forever! ❤️ RIP to Angus too.

I saw this last week in 4DX and it was the most physically painful theatre experience of my entire life. The movie was so much fun though! Happy to see Kevin Durand fighting vampires again - The Strain was a great series.

In 'Ready or Not', they were not creatures or monsters. They were human that were under a curse. If they didn't kill Grace by dawn, then the entire family would die. The curse made them explode.
Well you threw a lot of shade at one of my TV crushes Kevin Durand by comparing him to Elon Musk 😭 he was one of the main cast in The Strain a vampire TV show which after a slow burn was really really good and definitely worth adding to your vampire list .
