  • my Quaker Parrot Ozzy talking to himself. He says what, give me kiss, kiss, makes kissing noises, you're a good boy, good boy, step up, and uh oh. he can also laugh and blow raspberries, but I haven't caught him on camera yet doing those. he also mumbles a lot so i have no idea what he is saying sometimes LOL. so enjoy my video, comment, rate, and subscribe please! :)

      Never too early to start, but they generally won't start until after 5/6 mths old.

    These quakers can become real problems when they become neurotic trust me I know from experience omg they scream and scream for attention my Gf has one and she doesn’t even have the time for it so I get stuck with the neurotic parrot and I can’t stand him lol

      That's what they do when they are not entertained and challenged to play. Quakers are very smart, they require time and effort outside their cage, They need stimulation. If your GF has not time for him/her. She should consider re- home that bird to someone who has the time for it. It is very sad otherwise

      GG Peso - aren’t these birds consider an invasive species?

      I'm glad he can get some attention from you. Is it possible that you have time to train and tame him. Theses birds don't automatically know what to do. Imagine being a 2 two old left in a cage all the time. You'd be screaming too! Either help him, find him a home or take him to a rescue. He deserves love.

      I had to rehome my first one once I had my baby and went to work full-time those 2 things replaced my time for my bird and he started squeaking all the time he was so upset cuz we were buddies and them I never had time for him! Now I have another one and I literally just take him everywhere with me so he's not bored haha I have a cord inbetween my headrests in the car for a perch for him and I made a perch on my bike too and I take him along and he's a happy bird, he never equals 😄 if that bird is squeaking alot he's definately on distress and could eventually get so upset he'll start ripping his feathers out, you should try to make friends with the parrot so he will have someone to play with, birds are highly social and highly emotional, they need so much affection and love and attention! That bird just needs to feel loved. I will pray for your situation 🙏

    how did you teach him to talk??

    • @daughterofthemosthigh8064
      @daughterofthemosthigh8064 Před 4 lety

      They just do it themselves! Ive had 2 Quakers and their favorite thing is sounds and talking and practicing reenacting scenes and words from their memory's. Anything sounds that are repetitive in their life they will learn to copy. My first one fuzzy used to make that sneaker squeal sound the fire alarm made at low battery haha
