  • The antibiotic that has been prescribed by doctor for the ear infection: Phenoxymethyl-penicillin EQL.
You can't simple get it from a medicine store as it needs doctor's approval.

I think even in emergency they give first priority to someone who is going to die and make other people in emergency wait based on their level of seriousness of the patient case. This is what I understood after knowing about abroad.

Yes absolutely correct. There are levels for emergency handling and according to that waiting time is decided.
Today itself I took my wife for emergency in Danderyd’s at 5am as she is having heavy vaginal bleeding after 2 weeks of child birth and when we reached there doctors started taking care of her without wasting a minute.
Emergency in sweden used to calculate on severity, Few weeks back my wife was 40+ week pregnant and when her water got broke down we went to karolinska and we found our baby is in breech position and doctor asked us to go with C-Section at 9 am but they have started operation at 10 pm bcz of other Emergency cases as my wife is under observation but there is no severity in her case like loss of life though she is gone through contractions and even they didn’t allow her to have food from morning 9 am and she is hungry like anything and we are just keep asking doctors when our turn will come but they just put some glucose saline and asked her to keep patience.

Each and every statement of yours are absolutely correct however I would also say that the emergency is decided here on level of severity. Infact if I talk about other good European countries, UK and even US, I have heard similar experiences from my friends.
I guess the moment India will have similar free services in future, we might experience same in India as well.

They have a severe resource crunch in healthcare and unfortunately, it takes a seriously long time to diagnose anything or get any treatment. I have faced similar issues when I had an issue and have heard similar experiences from my friends. What I have heard is that emergency only works for near death situations and they don't prioritize cases unless it is extremely critical.
I was hoping that at least for babies and children, it is different. It doesn't seem to be the case. :(
I hope your child recovers soon!
