Stacking Fractional Gold And Platinum!

  • Do you stack gold or platinum in fractional sizes? I like to stack both metals in fractional sizes as well as by the full ounce. Stacking fractional gold and platinum is more affordable for a greater number of people, while stacking the full ounce size helps keeps the premium lower.
Watch as I add to both my fractional gold and platinum stack and check out my new pick ups! Please let me know your thoughts in the comment section. What neat gold or platinum pieces do you have in your stack?
As always, thankyou so much for watching!- Silver Struck

I've been stacking gold and silver for almost 20 years now and over the last 2 years I've only been buying platinum. The bull case for it is pretty clear and I also refer to it as the contrarian's contrarian metal

Great comment, thank you! I've been steadily adding to my platinum stack over the last five years myself with mostly one ounce coins. During that time I have sold a few coins to make sure I could convert PT back into paper currency. I'm looking forward to Platinums long term potential👍👍

I would prefer to have all 1 oz gold but currently it splits like this:
    7.5% - 1 oz gold pieces
    92.5% - fractional gold pieces
    1/10 oz
    1/4 oz
    1/2 oz
All three sizes spilt between Eagles and Brittanis’s with the following exception:
1 - 1/10 oz gold Lunar lll Tiger
1 - 1/4 oz gold Tudor Lion of England
One of the 7.5% 1 oz gold pieces is a Buffalo
I do not currently own any Platinum
    Cheers

Nice fractional gold stack MM! Mostly a stacker's stack with the AGE's and Brit's. That 1/4 Tudor Lion is a great collector gold coin, so I hope that will increase in value for you over time. Platinum is a speculative metal, IMO, so gold is a better play over-all. Thank you for sharing the details of your gold stack, great job!

I love and can really only afford fractional gold. I'm halfway to my goal of building an ounce of gold out of gram (1, 2, & 5) bars. I've had platinum on my radar and purchased some tenth oz. here recently. I pretty much grab it when I can. I really love the packaging on the Scottsdale Mint gram bars. Really nice.

      @SilverStruck  Před 2 lety

I think building a full ounce of gold by way of stacking different size gram gold bars is really unique. The premiums are not too bad on the 5 gram bars but the 1 gram gold is a little steep. I'll still pick the 1 gram gold from time to time but I stack mostly coinage in gold. Glad you acquired some Platinum!

@@SilverStruck I’m not from Wales, I don’t care if people mention England instead of Wales but I know people from Wales are always fuming when people make this mistake 😅😅

What exactly makes you think the government won't confiscate gold like they did in 1933?

Great point Daniel and valid question. The short answer is that know one could tell you for certain the government won't come for your gold. If your looking for an opinion, I find a scenario in which gold will be confiscated by the government very unlikely. I think the government will simply implement a high tax on the purchase and sale of gold and control the flow of gold that way vs confiscation. All the smart people back in 1933 shipped all their gold over seas anyway, so I don't think the government had thought that one through back in the day. Besides, I'm pretty sure the government lacks the resources to go door to door in 2022 to take your gold away. Keep stacking :)

Sorry for the late reply, I was on vacation. The nice thing about the Pamp bars is that they come in a COA. Just beware, there are fakes out there, so please buy from a reputable source. When I was twelve gold was around 1,100/ounce and now it's 1,800.00. I think having some gold for the long term is a good idea.
