    Bake at 350 deg F. for 30 - 40 mins
    For the dough -
    1 cup flour
    1 cup water
    ½ cup unsalted butter or 8 tbsp.
    ½ tsp salt
    4 large eggs at room temp or 5 small
    For the filling-
    1 large tin of chicken breast chunks
    1 scallion chopped finely
    1 tsp lime pepper sauce- found under condiments
    1 tsp celery salt
    1 tbsp mayo
    Pinch of salt
    Pinch of black pepper
    1 egg + a drop of water to make an egg wash

    I’ve been a vegetarian for over 10 years and stopped eating eggs completely about 5.
    I MISS PUFFS SO MUCH 😭😭😭 I wish there was a eggless puff

    So i finally made it ... 10 mins ago and they ate it all already lol . Followed your recipe to a T .. buttttt it looked nice when i took it out but deflated soon after . What did i do wrong ? Also my batter was a little wetter than yours because my peaks didn’t stand up . ( first time making any time of pastry tho ) so other than those few issue it was a Sucess i think

      The batter had to be to wet. And for it to deflate means it needed to be cooked longer because it was wet.

    Cheese flavor is always my favorite, At puff n stuff the chicken flavor always tasted weird to me, I think the chicken breast at puff in stuff is definitely leg's and thigh's, or expired because the chicken always look kind of dark brown like legs or thighs.

    I love your recipes and I’ve tried this several times to a T but the middle does still be doughy should I try lowering the oven temperature and cooking it a little longer?

      Are you making them big? These are pretty small. Yes I would do that and cook for longer.

    When they finish bake and you get them open, are they supposed to have a wet dough like consistency inside? That's what happened to mine even though I followed your recipe to a "t"

      I find that my things stick to the parchment paper easily too.. Time for me to invest in some of those silicone mats.

      Hello I'm a pastry chef and unfortunately this recipe depends on the eggs it's what binds the dough and makes it puff up so nicely. It wouldn't be pate a choux without the eggs
