Remember hearing my amazing brother play this, nothing touches the heart like the sincerity of music. So, so beautiful ❤
Woww… a stunnishing Sound! Bravo … especislly for tuba players!
how could anyone dislike this??? superb especially from 6:00 to 6:35
For Salvationists its good to be able to put the words to some of these beautiful melodies. The interpretation brings them alive. Beautifully played.
I was thinking the same...
@@HTsalvocom thanks for your opinion
The crescendo from @06:00 and forwards... MY GOD!
I can never tire of this band!
Bravo Philippe!
FANTASTIC has to be said that the Salvation Army is a source of such incredible music
Es war der Wahnsinn! Habe diese Performance in Luzern live miterleben dürfen :)
A brilliant piece of music...and brilliantly performed.
How could anyone dislike this? How and who are they? This is what you call a great performance.
Breathtaking
Brilliant, the euphonium line ❤️
The best for sure!!
How entirely appropriate that PLC should be applauded. I sent this clip to the US so my relatives could appreciate the quality of UK brass bands [as opposed to college marching bands]. I think they were rightly impressed.
Fantastic performance
Well of course, we Sallys love to talk about our sensitivity to the lyric, but this is honestly and sincerely UNSURPASSED in relaying to deepest sentiment of every word with the band is thinking it or not! Well done.
Simply fantastic playing across the whole band. Well done.
MUSIC LIKE THIS==The International Language
Great performance
Superb! Brings a lump to the throat on many levels
Paul Lovatt Cooper is the best

音色まじきれい、エスコルがんば!!
This is stunning thßmk you
SUPERB I wish they would come to the south west of England more often.
How about SOUTH AUSTRALIA??
PLC does it again!
+k0smon That was him in the percussion section, introduced at the end of the piece.
Stort evangelium tack Jesus Kristus solie deo gloria
This is one of my favourite renditions of this piece of music. Sensitively played right across the band and a video I have shared with a number of friends.
I come back to it regularly - it is uplifting and spiritually motivated. One can’t help but feel blessed to listen to this.
Well done
その場で聴いている人が羨ましい限りだ…

Terrific!!
Fantastic !!
素晴らしい…
Amazing
Great video :) thanks for sharing
Super
awesome
@@jameskonefal9491 hello
The sweet sound of conical bore.
Was there in the flesh when the staff band played the debut of this piece at the RAH for ISB120, nothing will match the emotion or magic of that definitive performance.
1st cornet solo. Too good
Ntokozo Msiza will
He works as a carpenter XD
A fantastic band playing a brilliant performance but I always think this piece may have been influenced by ' Leader of the pack ' by The Shangrilas ?
Within this composition of PLC, the emphasis for the follower of Jesus Christ, of the closing melody which is also repeated throughout, is this: "We who to Christ belong!"
Just terrific! I used to play sop.... Not like that though lol. Great finish!
Top D?
saskgeese Haha, I was just trying to work that out. Yep, I think he went for it :-D
Alex Hale A piece of music may only be finished correctly if a sop hangover note occurs, resulting in a shocked and stunned principle cornet to rush out their seat and grab the sop players music to ensure that yes indeed, the sop player was just being impressive and the hangover note in question wasn't actually written on the music. Then, and only then can a piece of music be truly considered complete.
saskgeese Benjamin richeton...he's a weapon!
in the sheetmusic is set a f# (the major third of the chord)
I think he plays the octava :)
Go salvation army!
What????? This NOT Salvation Army?
Stephen Tighe This was written for the International Staff Band (Salvation army band)
Stephen Tighe True true but I enjoy the fact that the Salvation Army provides inspiration for so much awesome music
Indeed so, so much wonderful Salvation Army repertoire.
Go indeed ! !
Philippe Graf?hat er nicht ein solo im stück?War mit ihm Musiklager.
I wellem Lager? Well wennd im JBBFO bisch, sött ich dich eigentlich känne (ja isch de Philippe)
who is the composer of this piece?fire in the blood
Paul Lovatt-Cooper
He was the last guy to take a bow in this performance.
dz/versz
The solo cornet bow after playing such a beautiful and spiritual hymn is classless, in my opinion. Take it out of the performance, Nick.
Agreed
Classless how ?
@@davidrobertson9798 It's like delivering a passionate monologue in a play and turning to the audience to take a bow. Wait and take your bows at the conclusion of the piece.
@Mark gallop. Well said. I just feel there is no need to call it classless. It was a decision made.
Thats a thing in Switzerland, you bow right after your solo
