I am not a cricket expert, but all sports require 2- things:
1- Physical fitness- chase the ball to prevent boundaries and not to drop catches.
2- Will to win and a winning attitude- this team did not show that, fight till the last ball. This comes with mental toughness- world class athletes differentiate themselves from others by turning a losing situation to win the game.
Not sure how these 2- elements can be injected into this team??

There was a time when my elders used to watch hockey as well just like cricket and all hockey team players were heroes as well. PCB and pakistan cricket team are not professionals. Axe the entire board and squad. Bring in professionals in board and bring in new players to the team. Remove players who has negative mindset, creating camps within the team. Separate team for red ball and white ball cricket should be selected. Players should be made responsible for their games. Select players who are fit.

Pakistan's performance in the current T20 World Cup has been disappointing, and it is disheartening to see retired or less skilled cricketers spreading hatred towards the current captain. Unfortunately, the media is also contributing to this negativity in order to boost ratings and TRP.
The captain has been accused of favoritism in team selection, despite the fact that players like Faheem Ashraf, Abdullah Shafeeq, Mohammad Nawaz, Asif Ali, Mohammad Harris, Imamulhaq, Hassan Ali, Haidet Ali, and Khushdil Shah used to play. These players are not currently part of the team for valid reasons, and yet the captain is still being blamed for hiring his friends. On the other hand, the captain included Mohammad Amir and Imad Waseem in the team, despite their previous negative comments about Babar Azam. This proves that team selection has nothing to do with friendships.
Certain players such as Shadab Khan, Iftikhar, Saim Ayoub, Azam Khan, and Usman Khan need to focus on improving their fitness and form in domestic cricket. As for Imad and Amir, it would be best for them to retire without any chance of making a comeback.
While it may be worth considering a new captain with strong leadership skills, it is important to note that no one comes close to Babar Azam in terms of batting performance.
The selection committee and chairman should be held accountable for their decisions, as they neglected merit and failed to assemble the best 16-player squad for Babar Azam. Non-performers in domestic cricket or those who have never played in domestic cricket were selected with the assumption that they would excel at the international level. This is nothing short of a joke.

i have to say my voice here. i love Mansoor Ali Khan's analysis on politics and stuff and i have to say i hugely disagree with a lot of stuff he has said in this video.
The problem is not our players. the problem is their grooming. Pakistani players don't make as much money as the rest of the players around the world with this skill
stopping them from playing leagues will only pressurize them even more. our players cannot handle pressure and that is what needs to be taught and that only comes with playing more big tournaments and leagues and gaining experience. I assure you No fan wants Pakistan to win more than the players who are actually playing. we sit on our asses and watch it, but they work their entire life to play this game at that level. So humiliating them more or pressurizing them even more will only cause more damage. We need to groom our players and let them go play anywhere they want to as long as it doesn't affect our schedule. I agree the likes of mohsin naqwi should stay far away from any ministry, but For God sake let someone stay. har sal selection committee tak badal di jati hy and nothing is consistent. we need consistency and ecperience. players ka jeena haram kar k we will not get results

No player showed responsibility, everyone is playing for himself,
We really need to make a hard and fast rule that all players should play at least 3 matches in domestic cricket (3 x 4 day, 3 x ODI & 3 x T-20). If a player plays less than 3 matches, he will not be considered for selection. Doesn't matter if there is an important series coming up, unless the player has not fulfilled these conditions he should not be selected for that specific format. Players who are injured when making a comeback, should play ONE Season and only then he should be considered for international matches with the only exception, if his performance in domestic matches he so outstanding that he is scoring 100s in practically every match or bagging wickets in 3-5 per match regularly.
