Teaching tree used to have ones the size of those smaller ones you have. I used silicone to put magnets on the back and put brads, eyelets and other small embellishments in on a magnetic board. Works great.

Thanks for the video. I prefer the see through containers. All my stuff are in this type of containers. I found it time savers, and the frustration to open containers one by one. I have space problems and start to collect the see through containers and drawers. I love them.
It's amazing how simple the fix is....see through containers, labeling .....saves so much time. makes things so much easier.

The smaller blue lock container that has a seal would be good for diluted paint for splatterin backgrounds.
I am not sure it really is sealed, but that being said it's worth a try .
I really like Dollar Tree 🌳 storage containers 🎉 You're right about the quality 👌 Some of them are a hit and miss, but overall, you can't go wrong with spending $1.25 ❤

I have had to go on a “container diet”, so I’m glad that my local Dollar Tree is currently closed as it’s very late here in Ontario 😄. Just finally got my own craft space figured out with a lot of similar criteria re: keeping things I reach for most close, others easier to find & likewise easier to access & I have a few of the same longer containers you show in the first part - they really are great. Fun to see you’re also in 🇨🇦. Hope you found a final layout that you really enjoy for your newly contained supplies & thanks for sharing!
Just got more of these...and wow...so nice to have things in same container.....now I can have all my color mediums close at hand and right in front of me. K

I have those vinyl envelopes. Mine have a zip closure at the top and a stud closure on the front and holes for putting them in a binder. I use them for stamp and die storage, also for projects in progress, for paper scraps, all kind of stuff.
They are a wonderful storage tool.K
Thanks for giving us ideas for organizing our supplies with these containers. Walmart used to sell the “pencil” cases for $1 a few years ago and then doubled the price. And these boxes are triple the price in some of the other well known craft stores. I bought some from DT’s website last year thinking I’d never see them again. I purchased a few more when I saw them recently in the stores. DT also carries a taller but shorter version as well which I want to get more of if I can find them. I wish the snack sizes came in clear. 😕
The snack one that I had in blue..comes in gray which is the most clear. K
Good ideas. However, they would be to small for my supplies. I went to my local DT and bought the solid storage bins and then went to the party section and bought the trays that fit perfectly on top. I have a lot of them. I love that I can put a lot of supplies and they stack so well. With the handle opening on the side, it makes it so easy for me to get off my shelves. Also, with limited space I have to think about using the vertical space.
Absolutely you need to buy the containers that fit what you have to store. Vertical space and using it is key in the organization plan. Thanks for wtching and sharing what works for you. K

I use the little ones in a drawer with sewing notions. I have used them for a couple years now. I got them when the were 3 for $1. Thanks for sharing.

When this first came out, I bought what I found, love these containers.
5:09 love this one, fitting 7. So many kool containers, seems like I’m always buying them.
I know the feeling....I keep improving what I have going on or how I organize things....but the right container/right size really does make a difference and thankfully you don't have to break the bank to get them. K
I have 6 of these bins and I love them. Dollar Tree also has or had the matching taller but shorter bins that have the grid bottoms and I have 4 of those too. I need some more, but they sold out quickly. I really like how you demonstrated all the different items in them as well as how to store them in other baskets and bins. Dollar Tree is my FAVORITE place to check out items for storage as well as their craft aisle and everything else. They have really upped their product lines. Thanks for your video. 😊
Yes....great place to get your storage needs met....but you do have to watch as not all plastic containers are the same in quality ...some are very fragile and poor quality. K
@@KarenBurchill You are right. I really scrutinize the pieces before I buy them. So far, everything is holding up very well. I especially love their clear acrylic/plastic drawers, cups, holders, trays, etc. I use them for small jewelry components, etc. 🙂

Awesome! Thank you! I have used these in my studio for just over a month now and I love them....it allows me to sort/organize all my little bits and so easy to see what's inside .

Rubber stamps, clear stamps and dies should never be dumped in a bin. Images will get dented that creates bare spots or corners compress from the weight of stamps so corners will not print. Image should be flat on a surface. If the container has even small ridges it will compress the image and that can never be fixed. Cling backing can be fixed when flattened by remounting. I put mine on a surface of blue paper towels that fits the container.

I use these all the time. Found them a couple of years ago. These are usually out when school supplies are in stock.

I see you using those flat baskets. They are somewhat of a pain because they have rounded corners. I have found some that actually have square corners, so they fit more things like your clear containers when you had 7 but the 8th one didn't quite go. It's because those darn rounded corners.

I've been using the little snacks containers for many many years from Dollar tree. I've gotten a three-pack or four pack before

I've been using these pencil boxes for a few years. Thy are great for SO MANY THINGS❤ also, Michaels has them for more money but the dollar tree ones seem like better quality.

First time watching your channel. Great storage vid. Love the versatility! I'm especially interested in the clear snapping envelopes. I live and travel full-time in our RV fifth wheel and storage space is at a premium! I store most of my craft supplies in zip baggies, but I love the sturdiness of those plastic envelopes. Do you also get those from Dollar Tree?

They come in various sizes. DT gets the shorter taller ones. They also have small ones the size of the small blue containers she had. I’ve just not seen them at my regular DTs I go to most. Micheals has clear ones very similar to the shape of that longer bigger one but these are little (similar in size to the small blue ones she got) i got some and store my miniature things in them. I like making a little Stand for Holidays. Think Lemonade stand! The YT channel “made on maple street” does these great “stands” and uses miniature things to dress them up. They’re addictive to make lol I get miniature things at Hobby Lobby.
Sterlite brand has larger similar containers...there are also some at DT/Michaels...just a matter of the right price point for you...and size..

I think maybe these suppljes are grabbed up by some people and they are not available to other people like me when I go shopping.
Maybe also your Dollar Tree is a lot bigger than ours so has more merchandise.
You can usually order in quantities of 12 at dollar tree online. Pick up is at your designated store.
Keep trying...mine was out for a couple weeks...today I found them and bought more. K
You can buy these on line......but the quantity was 36 I think.....and even I dont need that many...but if you order and split with other crafter friend...hmmmK

The larger one is approx 9 X 4 inches and the smaller one is a bit smaller than 4 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches. Hope that helps.

Do you think the rectangular one would be good for distress mini inks? If so, about how many do you think it would hold? They are 1x1 pads.
Absolutely....I forgot to show that...you can fit 10 in single layer BUT you can do it two high ( and put lid on) which means you can fit 20 distress mini inks in one container.

I bought SEVERAL of these, I was disappointed, the lids don't lock very well. I've went to pick one up got clumsy and everything went everywhere. But did use in my desk anyway. Cricut tools, office supplies whatnot.
Wow....I have not had that experience at all....and am very pleased with mine....it pays to do a quick check at the store to ensure you don't get a dud. K

What is ATC
ATC stands for Artist Trading Cards....typically mini art cards measuring 2 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches.....Artists would make and trade with each other mini art...they would put their contact info on the back. I don't trade but refer to any art that size as ATC
