I’ve just started my course and this is actually one of the things I’m struggling with so watching this helped! my curls never seem to... well curl! And I get fly always everywhere! Once I managed a curl, I accidentally blow it out 🙄 I’m sure I’ll get it eventually!
I know what you mean we have all been there! Your probably not heating it up enough or not letting it set and pulling it back out before the new shape is fully formed. You could try using multiple brushes of the same size and leaving them in to cool down completely, use a velcro roller to roll the hair onto to allow to cool or you could barrel curl the curl back up and clip to allow to cool. All of these techniques help if you are struggling to avoid moving your previous girls. I hope that helps!
Many people are commenting on how the hairdryer is put underarm whilst sectioning. 1. This isn’t the main purpose of the video and 2. It’s more efficient and professional than constantly turning the dryer on and off. :)
Thank you sooo much for the video. I was requested a curly blow dry and had never done one. I watched this and was able to follow it and implement it and came out beautifully! Very grateful you shared!
I am in level 3 which is my final year of hairdressing and I have a job interview soon but I still feel like I can’t do a good blow dry. How do you get over the nerves? and what happens if the brush gets stuck? (it’s like my biggest fear). I feel like I could do a balayage well before I could do a curly blow out haha xx
Always wondered how the Hairdresser can cope with a face full of heat when the dryer is against the brush on top of the head, must be used to it i suppose, great video by the way
I'm learning curly blow dries and this has helped me a lot, so thank you! What I did notice is that you held the hair dryer between your arms. Not gonna lie I hold mine between my legs in college but I would never do that at work. Not saying you can't do it, but don't include it on your videos as it could teach newbies like me to do so :)
Ellie Jade I'm in hair college and was told to try hold the hair dryer under my arm while preparing the hair your going to blow dry...im in Ireland so maybe it depends where abouts you are
@@gracelou91 in college in Ireland here two hairdressers tell us it's grand and one tells us not to as not all hairdressers like it. It's different in every salon really
Everytime i do this, more hair gets stuck in the brush when i roll it up, is there a reason this happens and is there a way to prevent it? I know its a silly question but i can't seem to get the hang of it :/
Make sure you are rolling the hair up perfectly on top of itself and not all up and down the brush as this causes small sections of hair to get trapped
