  • Colleen Moore's Fairy Castle underwent extensive refurbishment from November 2013, through February, 2014. The work at Chicago's Museum of Science & Industry included updating the castle's water-flow and lighting systems.

    A lifelong fan of dolls and doll houses, she commissioned this elaborate tiny house in 1928, for a total cost of nearly $500,000-in 2019 money, it's estimated to be worth $7 million. By 1935, approximately 100 craftspeople had worked on the Fairy Castle, according to the museum. No detail was too small to include

    I own the home that her aunt and uncle owned in Port Huron MI from 1893 untill 1902.

    The tree with the baby in it isn't quite as I remember it, though the last time I saw it is some 65 years ago.
