Hello hello everyone, I hope you're all doing well! ✨
Can you all believe that it’s almost been 3 years since I last redrew this piece, and 6 years since the original? Both feel like yesterday, but at the same time, so much has happened since then. The speedpaint I made of the redraw SKYROCKETED, now having over two million views - that's an insane amount of people!
I am so grateful for the support you all give me, it means the world to me. Thank you all so much for sharing this art journey with me, I will continue to do my best to improve and make more art in the years to come. ♥️
I’m delighted with how this turned out, especially the lighting! I tried to redraw this piece by mixing the first and second concepts. I hope you all like the result, please let me know your thoughts and I'll see you in the next video!! 💕

All Twilight could do was think.
As a filly, she was smarter than the others. Once appointed to Equestria and getting her cutie mark and becoming Celestia's student, she did even more thinking. She made friends and thought about them. Think, think....
Think.
Twilight never imagined she'd think about her friends betraying her. Such a silly thought.
Twilight sat at the library, setting up for bed, quietly pondering about what she'd do tomorrow. Maybe catch up on that one book, or fly with Rainbow Dash a little. Then she heard an urgent knock at the door.
"Twilight? Twilight!! Please, come here!" A familiar yet unknown voice called.
Shrugging, the princess walked down. Her hooves click-clacked on the wooden flooring. "Hello?"
"There you are!" Rarity said in a rushed tone.
"Rarity! You've been gone for months! I've missed you! What have you been doing?! Your shop just closed without a warning!" The lavender pony said.
Rarity nodded. "A very big project, yes, but I need your help. Please. " The unicorn purred with a desperate wisp in her words.
Twilight nodded, and they were dashing towards her shop. Twilight thought about the project. What could it be?
The white pony stopped in front of the door. "Now... You may feel.. uneasy, when you walk in, but please, do not worry. The lights are just out because I've had the worst headaches lately."
The two stepped in, and Twilight used her horn to illuminate the room. A faint iron smell filled her nose, but she didn't notice it until she saw....
It.
All her friends, lying on the floor, wood pieces around them, blood everywhere. Their bodies were mutilated, their limbs torn and ripped off, their manes and tails styled or cut in ways that didn't make sense. Twilight could barely process what she was seeing.
"Oh my goodness- Applejack! Pinkie! Rainbow! Fluttershy! What happened to you a-" She cried, but was cut off with a hard WACK aside her head. Her balance was knocked off and she fell to the floor.. with a crack of her horn.
She woke up to pain. Pain, pain, and pain. She felt muscles pulsing and her heart beating. She could smell things that made her feel unworthy of love. She could tastes things that made her want to puke.
"Ahh, awake, are we?~" the sick, twisted song of a pony she once knew cackled.
Twilight tried to move, but she realized... her legs were gone. "R-Rarity..." A cough of blood escaped her. "What is... wrong with you?...."
"No, Twilight. Nothing is wrong. I'm just stress sewing again! See?" She waved a hoof at one of her newly made monstrosities. Two ponies stitched to one body, their legs entangled and their heads both hung in shame and agony of their shared, mess of a body.
"NOTHING?! LOOK AT YOU! You- You did this to us! To them! To me! We trusted you, we loved you! YOU'RE A MONSTER!" The purple alicorn shouted.
"Now, that's no way to talk to me, is it?-"
"I HATE YOU!"
"HEY. Watch your snout, Princess of Friendship. Y'know what? Say, if you dont want to act like the princess of what you are, I'll make you into my perfect toy. Let me take those wings of yours."
"PLEASE, NO! NO! NOOO-" Twilight screamed into the dark, as she was promptly knocked out. She flapped her wings as she felt her world scatter.
She was awake once more by her own terms. Her whole body was numb. All she could feel was the slight pull of her scalp as her hair was brushed. She looked using only her eyes at Rarity, using her magic to detangle Sparkle's hair. She tried to weep, but her mouth was sewn and her eyes couldn't even blink. She heard the pony stop brushing, giggle, and leave.
And then she was alone. The only pony in the hellscape to be alive. She knew she'd be there for a long, long time. She couldnxt talk. Blink. Sleep. Move. Anything. Only her thoughts remained.
All Twilight could do was think.

I *love* the way you made Twilight’s mouth sewn shut. I can imagine whoever made the rocking horse getting tired of the screaming (since it doesn’t seem like Twilight was killed before she was stitched to her friends) and just going ‘I know how to shut you up’.

I really liked how you decided not to make her cry this time around. It really adds to the sinister vibe of the whole piece. Kind of gives the impression that Twilight has lost touch with her emotions and is becoming more and more unhinged. Great work! Can't wait for your next upload!! 😄

I remembered the old 2 and found them cool but seeing this amazing redraw blows me away. The mechanical parts is so freaking well detailed it’s almost realistic not to mention twilights expression. The light hair shading man everything about this is fantastic.

her eyes look so glassy… it really adds to the horror, since it makes it look more akin to a taxidermy or doll rather than a live Twilight…
God, could you imagine being in Twilight's situation in this though? If she even is alive, she'd probably be very aware of what's happening, is paralyzed (or not, but she certainly can't move because of the metal rods going into her legs and holding her together), and slowly dying of dehydration and starvation
Imagine though whoever did it could be injecting electrolytes and such into her open veins to prolong her agony-?
And also having your head and body parts being ripped off of you and having your friends be their replacements. Yep I think she would already be dead.

I love how each redraw is like a artist getting her ready for an exhibition. The first one being hey I just created a sculpture second one being let's go ahead and clean it up and 2022 being getting ready for the show/ and to present.
Here's my take on this year's redraw, and a continuation of my previous story! Check it out in the comments of the 2019 version.
Three years. It had been three years since Princess Twilight Sparkle was confirmed alive, whereabouts unknown.
It was also two years since Luna last left the castle. The night princess no longer had the strength to, and she could barely look Shining Armor in the face. She couldn't bear his questioning looks, nor Celestia's sympathy. She couldn't enjoy her sister's beautiful day on her face without breaking down.
She didn't want to sleep.
At first, she'd taken to sleeping during the day, but Twilight's torment still reached her. The poor mare must have had the same idea, because Luna could sense her sleeping intermitently, no matter how light or dark it was outside. Sometimes, she didn't sleep at all, for days on end, and Luna KNEW she must have been caught sleeping and injected with something to keep her up.
Twilight herself had told her as much, back when she still had the ability to talk in her dreams. Now she wasn't even responsive, ignoring Luna's presence altogether. She had been captive for three years.
Day after night after day after damn night, for three years, Luna saw her suffer and could do nothing. She kept everypony else free of nightmares, but she felt like a failure.
Three years were nothing. Twilight Sparkle was now a princess, she would never die of old age, not unless her captor put her out of her misery. If they were a fellow immortal, she could spend thousands of years like this. The thought horrified her.
It was Discord of all people who kept her company most days. The fiend was uncharacteristically subdued, even for a reformed agent of chaos.
"I knew it would happen eventually. Someday she would die," he'd told her once. "But not like this, Princess. Not so horribly, not without a burial."
'Not having what little is left of her stitched to her beloved friend', went unsaid. Their wedding had been a quiet affair, as per Fluttershy's wishes, and they could barely enjoy a year of marriage until she went missing along with the others. Luna would have expected his grief to be destructive. She wouldn't have blamed him for going on a rampage across Equestria until he found his beloved, but he surprised her.
No, he was all haunted looks, tucked tail, and silent weeping. His was a quiet grief that felt disturbingly familiar, reminding her of her long nights trapped in the moon. She started feeling a strange kinship with the widowed dragonequus in that regard.
"Do you think...?" Luna's voice faltered. She'd been sitting in bed, trying very hard not to think about her last duty for the night. Discord, having long since moved into her chambers, was curled up in his own makeshift bed by the window. The sheets and pillows he burrowed in must have already stopped smelling of his wife, but she still had enough tact not to point it out.
Apparently, she didn't need to finish the sentence. Her musings revolved around one thing and one thing only, these days. Discord sighed, his gaze not straying from the window. She'd arranged the stars a bit haphazardly that night, but he was kind enough not to nitpick.
"I don't think we'll ever find her, no," he rasped out, as he always did. However, that night he felt like elaborating. "Luna... you're a goddess, but you can't see what I do. Pinkie Pie could take peeks of it since birth. Flutter- F-Fluttershy was starting to. But I have always been able to stare directly at the Fourth Wall, and... Princess? It makes you feel small, that knowledge does. It makes you realize nothing really matters, so you might as well embrace chaos. You're doomed to play a role, so at least make it an interesting one."
"I don't understand," Luna mumbled, knowing better now than dismissing it as the ramblings of a creature who wished to mess with her.
"You wouldn't. And I envy you. You see, that thing is... it's like, a device of truth. It shows the world beyond," he said. He sounded cryptic, but most likely he was too tired to clarify. She could sense it in his voice. "I don't know where Twilight is, I barely know who did this to her. But I know we can't reach them. No magic in Equestria can break that damn wall, not completely. Wherever she is, you're the only one who can reach her, through her dreams. That, I know for a fact."
"Is that why you gave up? Because you think she's beyond help?" She couldn't stop her words even if she tried.
"I don't think so. I know so," Discord said, looking away from the window. He sank further into his glorified pillow pile, coiling like a snake. "There is nothing either of us can do, not unless her captor lets her go. Please... please just let her go."
Princess Luna, goddess of night in Equestria, could only stare. Luna, fictional pony in a fictional story, watched Discord beg to no one until he lost his voice. She watched him sob and plead into a CZcams comment to just let Twilight Sparkle go. He just wants his old friend back. But most importantly, he wants to say goodbye to his wife's remains. Even if he can't bury her, even if Twilight will need that leg, he wants to say goodbye.
Please.

@@PositiveLycan Honestly, who can blame Discord for wrecking havoc and doing crazy shit when he knows he's a fictional character in a kids' show, and he KNOWS he's gonna be written as a villain? Not to mention, later growing aware of the fandom surrounding said show, that is now affecting his lived reality. That's a whole new level of meta, and it's a wonder he can even function.
Thanks for liking my story! I figured those who would be the most affected by Twilight's captivity would be these two, because they were imprisoned for 1000+ years, but not even THEY were tortured like this.

Twilight didn’t know what had gone wrong, on that fated day. However, now, she had all the time in the world to think about it.
…
The sun was up in Equestria, songbirds singing to the dawn and the sun steadily rising to the pink and blue skies. The elements where on a camping trip, Discord following after on claims of being “protection”.
It was a laughable thought that, after all the six went through, they would need protection. Still, Fluttershy had insisted that they let him. “It will do well with his reformation!”
“It’s a true sign he is changing from that chaotic being he once was!”
How could Twilight deny the yellow-furred mare? Fluttershy’s kindness spread with every soft smile, and so - with a lot of rolling eyes - the girls let Discord tag along.
As things where, they were preparing to head home after today. Twilight had looked up, poking at the remains of last nights camp fire with her hoof, to see Discord and Fluttershy talking. Fluttershy tilted her head slightly, pink mane bobbing curiously as Discord leaned back in a howling laugh. Twilights purple fur stood on end at the sheer wrongness in the agent of chaos’s voice as discord shook his head.
Then, his clapping laughter faded to a snap.
…
Twilight squinted. She wondered what the mare had said, if she had somehow said something that triggered Discord to do this. Twilight closed her eyes at the thought. Not Fluttershy, never. No, this was an action Discord had planned for a long, long time. Twilight knew that for a fact.
She darted her eyes around to her surroundings, lights currently dim as she sat, suspended. It was like a museum, one of horrors that Twilight saw slowly filling. She didn’t know if the other girls where alive or dead, only able to hope that they had been spared the fate that she had - her friends pelts stitched onto her own like patchwork. Then, she wondered on what their fates could be otherwise, knowing Discord, and dashed the thought.
She focused on one other thing, thoughts of escape. She constantly made herself aware of her surroundings, of the unicorn horns and pegasi wings laying in cases of their own like prizes won from a great conquest.
She just needed Discord to slip up and put something hear that revealed where in Equestia this was. Then, she could dream. She could tell Luna in her sleep, have the guards storm this horror show.
She just needed the chance to do something, for her friends. Her friends. Her friends Luna refused to tell her about.
She wondered if that, too, was for better or worse as she looked around the dark room.
. . .
Luna ran through the palace, charging up a spell and teleporting to Celestia, the blue Alicorn shaking her sister awake. “We know were she is!” Luna cried out, the princess of the night struggling for breath. It had been 3 months, 3 long, tense months before Discord slipped up. Twilight had helped the princesses plan a spell, a simple one. Putting small tickets in all the major cities, enchanted to attach themselves to Discord. Each a different color, for each city. Seemingly innocuous, a piece of confetti that stuck to the bottom of his foot, something discord wouldn’t think twice about.
Something that gave the princesses their chance to rescue the elements.
. . .
News ponies gathered around, watching with baited breath as nurses brought injured guards from the house, reporters glancing between each and every event. Shattered stone remains of discord laid, slowly swept up by a gaurd to be burnt, to forever ensure that such a monster could never return to Equestria. They waited with baited breath for a different reason, however.
They didn’t care for the guards or the fate of Discord. They cared to find who was the survivor of the horror house.
Then, Celestia walked past them all, wings folded gently to protect a smaller pony. The news would argue who it was, all saying they saw a diffrent mane of fur.
It would be a great many months of recovery before any awnser to the fate of the Elements, or why Discord did this, would be given.
But, in the end of all time, as all things do, the world would heal.

The expression in her face that says "please kill me so I don't have to stay like this any longer..."
I like how you can see her expression. The 2022 one is still amazing (and is superior to the 2019 one in some ways), but I would've enjoyed seeing a bit more emotion expressed within her face.

I'm terrified but I love this art
She never suspected the day she’d live a hell like this. After her friends had been slaughtered one by one, twilight became a little too curious. Today, curiosity was the thing to make this hell. She could smell something disgusting and followed the scent. A few days later, she wakes up feeling tired and felt sharp pains along her spine. Then the pain hit her even harder, causing her to try to scream, realizing her mouth had been sewn shut. She realized that her friends’ skin had been attached to her missing limbs. Trying to cry, she bled even more. Her friend’s body parts were rejecting her own, her spine was damaged so she was paralyzed, the steel rods holding her together were clamped on tight, causing her bones to sickenly crunch and bleed. It smelled disgusting. Why did she deserve this? As she tried to move, the rods would pierce her deeper in. Her horn sparked and burned her. She felt a sense of magic also holding her alive and steady. She knew that she would be on this world for a long, long time.
This is scary and yet beautiful ..it makes me wonder if the other’s bodies are just in some random heap ..or another creation altogether
I saw the 2019 redraw and I'm excited to see how this turns out
So, my thought would be discord who did it because his whole think I'd chaos. At the time he was trying to eliminate the mane six. I have a feeling he may have had rarity help him with the sewing and then took her ears as a trophy

I think it's human Sunset's revenge on her pony self. She did it because in other body she forgot to let herself go and it made her this mad she decided to create The Rocking Horse.

I feel bad about it, because this new one is incredible, but I kinda like the 2018/2019 (can’t remember) redraw better, just because of how gory it is. This new one didn’t spook me, but the old one really did
