On Saturday evening, drones and missiles were spotted travelling from Iran to Israel. With Iran's much anticipated retaliation underway, we're going to discuss what this means for the war. Is this Iran escalating the conflict or will it actually calm things down?

i just dont understand this view. iran gave israel several days warning. the amazing thing is that israel was still unable to totally repel irans attacks with not only its iron dome and total air superiority in the region, but also military help from USA/UK/FR/JO/SA. 300 suicide drones paralyzed all that support, and irans outdated missiles still made it deep into israel and hit several military bases. now iran knows how easily the iron dome could be overwhelmed. what happens now when israel retaliates?

There are so many ways to read this situation. For example, the Iron Dome worked but it has limitations. According to another source, the cost incurred for that night reached USD 1.3 billion. Besides, by having a 72-hour notice ahead, it seems clear that Iran does not want to escalate further and only intended for their drones and weapons to be shot down. Despite their effort, like I said earlier, Iron Dome did not work 100%.

The IDF slaughters civilians and is overall just quite belligerent for a “defense” force. Both have played a role in sparking regional war. That’s also not to mention that the United States hasn’t drawn enough red lines (almost none) for Israel, which has made their extremist government more willing to do crazy shit to stir the pot. How was that escalation? Israel bombing Iranian embassy was escalation, this was a retaliation. On top of that this was just a planned show of force that they knew would be stopped because they gave fair warning to the US.
If Iran actually wanted to escalate they would have planned a surprise attack and kept Israel guessing

The fact that you term the Israeli strike on the Iranian consulate as "apparent" speaks a magnitude more to your bias, than anything else.

The world is very strange. Until recently, Iran has been waging a war against Israel. A shadow war that has claimed thousands of lives. A shadow war through state-sponsored terrorism. A shadow war where those terrorists were being funneled through the facility Israel bombed. Israel was defending itself.

The Iranian attack has negative things for Iran, but also good things.
Iran has far more important strategic goals, such as its nuclear program. And now it risks an attack by the Israeli Air Force on its territory and possibly damaging a nuclear reactor and delaying the tremendous progress that Iran has made in recent years towards nuclear weapons. So there is an analogy for Shiral here. In addition, its reputation vis-a-vis its branch has dropped significantly.
On the other hand, we need to understand why Iran attacked Israel. There was no interest in anything related to the destruction of Israel in the last attack. She simply wanted to test Israel's air defense systems. She wanted to check what her missiles and UAVs are worth in relation to Israel's defense systems and air force. And even though we almost intercepted their missiles and UAVs, they only taught us and this only improves their methods of operation and their worldview towards Israel's air defense systems . Sometimes it's also a matter of attitude. Maybe another time the mass of launches is going to be much higher and the balance of interceptions will be lower and the damage to the rear will be greater.
So one should not enter into euphoria, and understand that this was an Iranian test and a study of the IDF's capabilities. The Iranians are going to learn from their mistakes. That is why Israel must take advantage of the situation and the trouble that Iran got itself into due to the attack on Israel.

Israel bombed an Iranian consulate which killed some Iranian officials about a week ago. Iran said that this attack was revenge. It is crazy how Israel is attacking Iran directly and expects Iran to do nothing. It is clear they wanted Iran to attack them back so they could bomb Iran's nuclear facilities. Netanyahu is a psychopath and he's putting his nation in danger. Biden is right, Benjamin needs to go. What if Iran has nukes and are hiding them underground so we don't know? They are going to nuke Israel if they escalate the war if they have nukes
