I hope you read this: I am the U.K. I am trying to learn things by myself as dozens of people that I requested declined to train me. So I hope you can teach me one thing today. How do you know which glass fits which car? Sorry if the question looks dumb!
Do you do glass for a living. That little notch is called a v notch and it’s been pretty standard for along time. I’ve been doing for a long long time and I must say I’ve do a lot of my own test and if the windshield gets pushed in properly a round bead will work 98 of 100 times.. its all about setting the windshield in the bead after windshield is in. There are company’s that send tips pre cut with v notch and some that don’t, you can also buy a tool that cuts a v notch if your uncomfortable doing it with a blade yourself.
Sorry for the late comment/question. I hope you see it because I would love to hear your thoughts. First off, I'm not trying to be critical because I can tell that you definitely know what's up and have been slinging glass for years. I also have years doing this because I was raised in a family glass business and eventually started my own. I have changed many ranger w/s over the years but never like this. I heard this was a thing but honestly, this is the first time I have seen the bead applied to the glass rather than the pinchweld. I am bummed that you didn't set the glass in the video because that is where I have a problem. I cannot for the life of me figure out how you can pick this up and set it (without help) without sticking your fingers in the urethane and proceeding to get it EVERYWHERE...and we both know how big of a mess it is to try to clean urethane off a customer vehicle. I can't even think of any reason how caulking the glass could be an advantage over the pinchweld, so please help me out and explain this technique. Ironically, I got out of the glass business when I moved to another state 15 years ago and my current location would not support a successful w/s replacement business...but I still pay attention from time to time and when I saw this, I thought I'd ask. So hopefully, 2 years after you posted this, you will see this and fill in this blank that has bugged me for years. Looking forward to hearing back from you. Take care.
@Alex Rubio hello, just wondering on my 2012 mustang, the black rubber is melting an very sticky, can I replace that alone? Or is it part of window or part of cowl? Thank you Alex✌🏼
Hi there, can you please confirm/suggest sika product or let me know if I am right- Windscreen leak fix - Sikaflex 227 Windscreen replacement adhesive - Sikaflex 258 primess glass adhesive Thank you very much
Amazing, a CZcams video title that says exactly what you are about to see! Done well too.
Amar a mesin ta lagbe
This is the first person I’ve ever seen apply it to the glass and not the vehicle
I have noted that the method of applying on glass is unconventional
I just did an excavator window tonight...you are smooth...mine was a flat side glass that laid right on door frame which I had on work bench.
Thank you
Hey man idk if u will see this but I was wondering if this would work for a poly lip? I want glue it flush.

We have the same glue gun. Its thr best
Once it's dry I hear you can trim it with a razor blade. Does that sound right? Cheers
Yes you can!!
How did you cut the end of the nozzle on the urethane cartridge. Seems like you have a little triangular notch?

I believe the glass is then picked up with suction cup and pressed onto the pinch welds
Harbor freight sells suction cups
@@ikateulilo9058 Yes but when placing , you risk touching the vehicle with the sealant from the window , leaving a mess.
عالی
He probably uses a windshield crane, much more precise!
I have a a question . What product do you use to remove the urethane weld on skin... ?
Orange or blue scrubs work good or sometimes some denatured alcohol but not ideal.

Yes you can replace it alone sometimes you can go to your local autoglass store and just ask for some universal moulding
Alex could you use this to insulate IGUs?
In an emergency you can but it’s not suggested
I see you're using the M18 caulk gun. Do you think the M12 can handle this type of urethane?
Yes it can
@@AlexRubioRQualityGlass Thanks, I'll give it a try.

@@AlexRubioRQualityGlass Buy a bigger 1 to 26 ratio caulk gun, 25-35 dollars, then heat urethane tubes up to about 140 degrees.
