  • Karpenter is an open source, flexible, high-performance Kubernetes cluster autoscaler built with AWS. It helps improve your application availability and cluster efficiency by rapidly launching right-sized compute resources in response to changing application load. In this session, learn how Karpenter works along with practical use cases of Karpenter. Learn how Karpenter can select diverse instance types, such as Spot or Graviton, and how Karpenter makes it easy to upgrade your nodes for day 2 operations. Also see how to optimize costs, implement scheduling constraints, and more.

Great watch! qq: during the ami upgrade, if the pod/job is in error states on some node, is karpenter smart enough to remove it and drain the node?
