Mai, whose native language is Japanese, features crisp pop singing vocals, particularly suitable for J-Pop, from dance to idol music.

(why couldn't you put this much effort into natalie's demo) but negativity aside OHOHO MAI SOUNDS SO GOOD. she seems to strike a sort of happy medium between the more "regular singing voice" voices dreamtonics usually provides and the more light, poppy character vocals third parties make, i could see her singing alongside maki or seika and fitting right in. also this song is just fun to listen to and suits her perfectly. i've never been too swayed by these voices but she might be the one that gets me, lol

Wow, already? I was just thinking that SynthV has enough cutesy girl voices, but Dreamtonics didn't have one like that in their library, so it makes sense that they're adding one. I'm surprised by how much I like her, she sounds so clear! I'm sure she'll have some cool duets with Ryo or Yuma.

She sounds great so it might not matter too much, but it would be cool if she got some more vocal mode options before release. It's just nice to have the added control over a voice that comes with that! edit: NEVERMIND SHE'S A FREE VOICE THAT COMES WITH STUDIO. I'll TAKE THAT LOL :-)
I didn't notice she has TWO vocal modes. What in the world? Are they rushing her out?
@@corasundae she probably has more not revealed. This isn't a soft voice like Mo Chen (who only has 3) and more is expected of them.

Mai definitely is one of the few female Synthv voices I really like so far. Still, the kind of music I'm writing requires a more serious, mature and stronger voice, so I can't go neither for her nor for Yuma. A pity, as I do like them both. Personally, I'm still waiting for some voicebank capable of more passion and "drama", preferably male.
I think Yuma sounds really nice when you raise his gen to 0.15 to 0.30. Solaria's Power vocal mode can be very strong and belty, if you need something more solid than her default tone.
@@corasundae Yes, you are absolutely right! However, I have the feeling that EVERYONE is choosing her (and Kevin) for their songs, and I'm aiming more for a voice like Cangqiong's. That's not to say they wouldn't sound great! And Yuma, he's a great singer, too - maybe even one of the best so far - but he sounds so incredibly young! Not that I fault him for that 🙂 it's just that some lyrics ask for a more experienced, "grown-up" sounding person, and I simply can't picture him in the music I am currently working on. Still, I never meant to disqualify his capabilities altogether 🙂

I don't understand why I'd need to purchase this when the existing line up of Synthesizer V vocals from this company and third party can already perform in similar genres. She doesn't sound that unique as an idol voice and she sounds functionally interchangeable with the rest of the existing databases. Disappointing after Yuma's release since that was giving a unique direction that couldn't be easily replicated, personally.
Unlike third parties, you don't have to worry about the personality of the character, and it seems to be easy to use.Also, you need to be careful about third parties because they also list real fame actors.I think.
You have a point, but in my opinion, I think this voice actually sounds pretty unique! I think so far a lot of the other feminine voices get more of a nasally head voice in the high range, whereas I feel like this voice has more of an open and soft/falsetto type of high range, but without lack of power.
@@rmumof you do realize you dont ACTUALLY have to worry about the character’s personality right? like you can just use a character vocal the same way you use a noncharacter vocal…
and honestly id really prefer something with a character over all these extremely similar faceless vocals…
