- these are very nice. 4965 and 4966 are the only two in service at the moment. the rest of the MTA's order should begin to arrive during the spring. they can be found on any route out of Michael J Quill Depot that uses 40ft buses, such as the M12, M20, M42, and M50. there are 60ft versions of these as well, they are 2019 models numbered 4950-4964, which are in service on +sbs routes out of Quill, such as the M14A/D, M34/A, M79, and M86.

When will more of these be delivered
they are in the process of deliveries. i do not work for the MTA, so i do not know anything too specific.
I thought they would arrive in the Spring
I'm not 100% sure. if thats the case I'll update the description.

It is hard to wat for the xe40
I agree. The delivery should've started a long time ago.
It takes a lot more time to build an electric bus as opposed to a diesel version. It is now August 2024 and they did make a little progress . I heard that Queens has some XE40s in the 5000s.
I still find it hard to believe the bus manufacturers are still using those prehistoric switches on the right side of the steering wheel.
For an electric bus like this, all of those switch functions could have been augmented into a touch screen, just like any modern car.
I finally rode 4952 on the Bx2 about 2 weeks ago. Those are faster and more fun to ride on than Beelines XDE60s!!!!
@@jamesrapp1373 I heard Michael J Quill in Manhattan is getting their XE40s soon.
