Not sure when this house was built, but it was old. It was also, I think, the last old house remaining in that area. I'm not sure what they're going to do with this land. They've got a lot of it right there. At this time, it's still just a big, empty lot. For those curious, this house was demolished with a Caterpillar 323 excavator.

I have a bunch more awesome demolition videos coming up soon, so make sure you're subscribed and have post notifications turned on so you don't miss anything.
Thanks so much to everyone who's been following along. I really appreciate it!
Leave some comments, everybody! Let me know what your favorite part was.
When you clean up the lot. Do you take out the fountain as well and what will happen with the stone? You could build a stone wall with them along the front of your house. I’m from New England. That’s what we do.. 👍👍
The interior views.
In my first half of my working career I was a carpenter building houses from the ground up. But I sure enjoy watching them get demolished! I think I was in the wrong end of the housing career!
I enjoyed seeing a walkthrough of the structure, particularly the closet with the original plaster wall and baseboard. The whole house had been so badly remodeled over the years, it was nice to see a small original feature. I think we'd like to see you loading the debris into a truck, as well as the finished site. Great work here.
yes exactly! and the basement
Thanks for the walk-through before you tore it down.
What a great looking truck I enjoy watching your videos a lot keep making great videos I like your videos a lot keep making great videos
Really like your channel alot ! No BS, you just rip right into it, No rippinng tree after tree, no building roads, just demo !
You're awesome, man! Thank you!
and no timelapse i like seeing real time not this sped up that other channels do
Love those Stone Basement Walls!, Another explorer CZcamsr I watch shows lots of those in old houses in Canada!, Most Houses here in Texas don't have Basements.
Thank you for posting your content my 3yr old son loves your videos! 😊 You also have a very calm and manly voice.
Glad to see you uploaded more
A super-entertaining video, thanks very much. I liked the final walk-through and wonder about when it was new and how it was someone's pride and joy at one time. If old houses could only talk....
I discovered your channel and it's really great, your destruction is really nice to watch 🎉 You do super destruction
Friendly suggestion about dust control, why not try a nozzle like the firefighters have that can do either a straight jet, or a more conical pattern, the conical pattern will really help capture the dust and keep it down. Long time fan here, I'm sure you remember me. Also, I would love to see you share videos of the foundation removal process. Just some ideas to make things easier and maybe help you get some more subscribers and viewers! This is by far the best demolition channel I have ever seen on CZcams, and I've been watching since the early days of CZcams. Thanks so much as always for taking the time to explain things, create the video and share your knowledge and experience with us! Dan, from South Surrey BC.
Good video, but a bit of truck loading would be good, plus a final view of the site after the job is done.
The best demolition ever was in the movie The Grapes of Wrath. The bulldozer just drove through the house one time, completely flattened it, and just kept driving.
That basement was like Amityville. 💀 I was expecting to see the well
You have the key to every house you demo. You're driving it.
It looks like a Sears and Robuck home that has been remodeled way too many times. The interior would have had a lot of oak trim and a very large room on one side of the first floor. There even might have been a couple of pillars dividing that room. These kit homes were very popular after WW1 up to WW2. I might be wrong. I also have an apprentice textbook that belonged to my grandfather in 1914?? that showed house plans like this.
17:43 Look how those studs just splintered into nothing... That's kind of crazy.
I think maybe you should put a few mins in with loading trucks. I find that rather stimulating.
WEIRDO
An old house like this, likely 100 plus years old, is going to have a lot of old growth wood lumber used for construction originally which is valuable and desirable. Never any thought to trying to salvage any of that first?
I'm always amazed how quickly and how precisely you can drop a building pretty much in it's own footprint awesome work guys
@ 10:40
This guy is having too much fun as a home wrecker
Beautiful job, you did brother.
Nice job!
Can you imagine working in the offices above the restaurant? Maybe when it was still open it didn't smell so bad. Maybe smelled yummy when still a restaurant.
There is a little town in Massachusetts called North Dighton. It was a 'factory town'. The owner of the factory owned all of the houses, and they were all Sears and Robuck kit homes. The grander homes were toward the front of the factory and were reserved for more valued employees. As you moved to the back of the town there were duplexes. Way in the back was the owners Mansion, I never went down that driveway, it was not welcoming, even the owner was long gone. This was a grand home, back stairs for servants.
I’m right in Somerset, I never knew North Dighton was such a thing! Small world
Missing Rehoboth a lot. Best Ice-cream store ever on Rt 6. Hope it is still there!
Can't remember the name, is it Somerset Creamery?
@@glenlongstreet7
Yes, it’s still there!! About a decade ago they opened a second location on route 138, Somerset. But the original is very much still thriving.
wow what a dump thank god thats gone you have a mega channel/content awesome stuff
I would like to have seen how you delt with the basement.
Well done! Thanks for sharing, keep it up 👍🏻
It come's down like paper. Great Vidio Thank You!
Love the video. Poor house, all good thing's must come to a end. I wonder if the spirits of the house had a problem with the smell.❤😅❤
I parked on 5th behind this building a few years back while waiting for a patient up on the hill and wondered how many more years it would be standing. I'm guessing some sort of medical building will go here.
Wait!!! I think I left my wallet sitting on the toilet in the bathroom!
Oops
House went down like it was balsa wood😂
Man, I love a good ol 323
😮 Wow this house looks like the house of horrors in amytivil
How come your didn`t fall into the basement when you drove on top of the debris? Just curious.
I did a walk through on house really just looking for squatters found a 1920 Enfield I've had it for 22 years
Gentrification, high tax, and plenty Cadillacs.
I would work for free for one day if I could run the excavator. 🙂
I don’t understand what happens with the basements. Do they just get filled with debris or are they excavated? Filling them with wood doesn’t seem like a good idea..future sinkhole.
I suppose it's too late to try to save it now, huh?😝
That house always had some 'unusual' activity around it.
Excelente...
I think this place was salvageable
I woulda recycled the White front door if solid, an the Staircase.
Awesome video!!
Was probably the fire department in the distant past.
Have you guys tried using a fog spray instead of a stream for dust control?
I think two of you would have pulled it off the foundation in one. :o) Don’t worry about astbestos, the arsenick wallpaper and the dried bug killer will get you first :D
Enjoyed the video. Did you dig the basement walls out and put fill dirt in?
Gotta be fun and make a little money as well !!
Does the cab of your Cat have a filter and a/c system so you can close the door and not breathe all the dust ?
Went down fast . I guess you dig out the mechanicals out the basement .
5:32 you can clearly hear the toilet shattering
That hose was as useful as a chocolate fireplace.
crunchy :P
Are you sure that wasnt an Old Flour Factory
When You Put It On The Ground Do You Have To Pull The Basement And Footings Then Backfill
Did you have to excavate out the entire basement too or just remove the structure of the house?
What happened with the tank water heater in the basement? Did you take it out for scrap?
i just don't understand why don't they salvage materials before they took the place down
They generally separate metal from the debris after demolition.
They day household dust is 70%-80% dead skin. Seeing all that dust coming out of that house. I bet there is over 200 pounds of dead human floating around. Remember, always wear your dust mask kids.
As far as abandoned houses go this place is in fairly good condition. Too bad it will be torn down. It should be renovated back into a home.
Probably couldn't rent it for enough money to pay the property taxes.
Would it be on the expensive side to attempt to recycle and materials ,like, windows, door and electrical boxes etc.?
Not much of a market in the PNW
❤️📽🎞🚧⛏️
Was this tested for asbestos?
A very untidy demolition job. Does the operator not know how to use the thumb on the excavator?.
Your man with the hose should be wearing some kind of mask for all that dust. that can't be healthy.
That narrow stream isn't accomplishing much anyway. A little wider, more diffuse spray would knock down way more dust.
Yeah I'm sure they really care what you think lol😂
What's the purpose of spraying the water
Dust
ASBESTOS in those old houses??????
Where is this. It's annoying that nearly everything on yt leaves me needing to scour for clues for location. None are here.
@mikeyh9582. The last tenant was the “Thai Lunch Box” restaurant. This building was located at
417 S Browne St, Spokane, WA 99204, USA.
