This is an important part of LGBTQ+ history. I remember it well. Listen to the crowd when Stephen first goes to sing. I wish the volume of supporters had translated into solo album sales, but I guess we could only ask so much of the late 90s/early 2000s. I was there cheering him on anyways.
Same here! I bought both versions of his solo album! His song, “Just Can’t Say Goodbye,” broke my heart after he passed.
Such a beautiful moment. You can tell the crowd are waiting for the second he starts singing. I’m glad he knew he was loved before he sadly passed away.
I remember this like yesterday. I believe the performance was a couple of weeks after he came out. I watched from my couch in Dublin Ireland. Loudest cheer for the day went to Stephen. Every time his little face came on the screen. It was so lovely to watch. Oh how I wish we had him for a while longer. But I'm so grateful for the years we had!

Remember Steo wasn't Louis's star to be that was Ronan and this is just before they broke up... Such a great talent but not the one who was backed.. He was always a beautiful soul and always missed.. 😿
I’d argue that Westlife were a more refined version of Boyzone, and that Steo would’ve suited Westlife more. Either way, I’m not a huge Boyzone fan, but this is a classic! R.I.P Stephen ❤️
