I love ELF brushes so much. The quality is superior than morphe brush imho (especially the ones with the black handles). I’ve had mine for about 5 years; zero shedding, retained their shapes and doesn’t get scratchy 🤩

You’re so adorable & I love how you always bring a smile to my face. 1st I love your opinions & I agree with you. Although I’m a few years older (61) & have hooded eyes. I’m a big luxe & moda fan! More so than Morphe but that’s my own thing. Please try Sonya kasha’s brushes. I’ve been blessed to pick them up as a set after Christmas for a great price. I only own2 natural hair brushes Kevin Aucoin but I found those on clearance at Tjmax (👍🏻🤔😀). Elf has made some great sets that I too got on clearance at Tjmax. It’s so funny you mentioned paddle type brushes because I have a brush I’ve used for blush for years. I got that at CVS 2011? Natural hair when they were switching over because the cosmetic market was changing. I guess I’m a brush hoarder so I don’t have to wash often. Alamar makes really nice face brushes but my eye brushes I’m partial to my several different Moda’s.

I have three of the brushes you mentioned and the others I have very similar alternatives even if I don't use all of them for the same purpose as you.
They still sell the RT shading brush but I believe aside from Amazon you can only get it in their Enhanced Eyes set, it's the 307 shading brush now. I know bc I lost mine and bought a new set just to replace it bc I love it so much! 😅 Thankfully I found it (stepmom's cleaning lady had put it away with stepmom's brushes) so I returned the extra $20 five brush set I was only gonna use one, maybe two brushes from! 🤭

The Real Technique brushes are so good. I use the Bronzer brush for a lot of things, as you stated, same for the large Powder brush. My favorite from RT would be the Contour brush, I use it to apply my foundation, concealer, cream bronzer and blush. I also have a few ELF brushes that are favs. The last time I was in The Dollar Tree the stippling brushes were $1.00! Good brush for that price. For eyes I'm all over the place. I like Zoeva 227 & 228, Wayne Goss set, RT, The Balm. I enjoy your videos so much Mandy🌞

    Mandy! Great video!! 👏🏼
I’ve recently been going through all my hundreds of brushes that I’ve collected over the past 7 yrs and these are my favs: Rephr, Wayne Goss, Real Techniques, IT Cosmetics, EcoTools, elf & BK Beauty.
There’s a of Morphe from yrs back that I love too but I don’t find them to be the same quality as before.
I also happen to think that Sigma and MAC are overrated for the most part. I know that’s not a popular opinion but I have a slew of them and there are better out there, especially for the price.
I bought the complete Scott Barnes brush set in January and have regretted it ever since. I spent just over $300 CND and now I’m trying to sell them because they are garbage 🗑
It’s tough finding the ones that are game changers but when you do, it’s a winning feeling 🙌🏼
Rephr has turned the brush scene upside down with their quality brushes and their Concept Store. They also have excellent customer service! Those brushes are gold ‼️ I have now 16 brushes and some duplicates because they’re so amazing. Thankfully I was able to get my hands on the #16 and that brush is a cloud on your eyelid ☁️
You have the best outtakes 🤣🥇 #reallife

Agree with you on all points about rephr...I have 4 from the concept store but wouldn’t ever pay more than that just because of budget. They are really great though! A few of these mentioned like the m504 and m507 I bought because I’d seen you list them in videos from last summer/fall, but after I bought the rephr ones in early 2020 I just don’t enjoy using the morphe ones as much. I actually threw a couple different ones away because I couldn’t take the scratchiness. This is a great and very useful video concept whether it’s someone needing brushes for the first time or just looking for something different!

My staple brushes are really different as I use brushes for my base products too, and I tend to multi-task with them. I have the real techniques expert face and concealer brushes, a big fluffy brush from Elizabeth Arden for bronzer and blush, a small tapered fluffy brush from mecca cosmetica for highlight and the occasional strategic powder. For eyes I still love the OG mac 217; I can do an entire look with just this brush and nothing I've tried is quite as versatile

Ive found myself applying bronzer with smaller brushes as time passes. Yesterday I used the Elf Small Tapered brush (which i find to be an amazing multi use brush) to apply bronzer and i loved the control and smooth application. I mean i just dabbed and sweeped where i wanted it and it looked perfect. I think big bronzer brushes are for people who either have large faces or know what they are doing. They apply my bronzer all over the place and I look CRAZY; like I would even need to purchase a new light bronzer shade to accomodate the brush. The big bronzer brush is just just not for me. I use those for blending mostly or the neck and chest

I have 5 Rephr brushes. That bronzer brush and 4 eye brushes. Normally I would never pay that much only because I really can't afford it because they're great and I wish I could get every single brush! Hopefully eventually! I got all 5 brushes for 50% off! I love that they do the concept store! I paid $55 instead of $110 for the Bronzer brush for my birthday in August and then I got brush 15 and 16 when they were in the concept store in August too then I just bought brush 1 and 12. They came in a few days ago! I love them so much! They're probably some of the softest real hair brushes! I have a few other real hair brushes that are kind of scratchy. They almost feel synthetic! Synthetic brushes usually feel buttery soft! And the Rephr ones def feel that way! I will put money into brushes because if you take care of them they will last you. Such a long time! I gave Mac and Nars brushes that are over 10 years old probably close to 15 years old and are in perfect condition still because I baby them lol

Very good review, awe loved you singing you have a pretty voice , anyone interested in that Luxie brush for cream blushes she used it’s on sale at Lovely Skin for $15, I just ordered mine.🥰

Luxie is ALWAYS having sales! I have so many but never pay full price. When they do a sale you can use a coupon code on top of the sale so I've gotten them really really cheap! I love my Luxie brushes! They are synthetic which I prefer more for my face brushes tho especially since I prefer cream products! I do have a few eye brushes that are good but I love my Rephr eye brushes! Also with Rephr I've never paid full price! They do half off at the concept store so I've gotten 4 eye brushes so far and the Bronzer brush she talked about for 50% off! The Bronzer brush was still expensive but it was my birthday gift to myself lol

I love love love all my rephr brushes! I’m soon to be 62 slightly hooded eyes & have a sallee face I’m not 5’ so m petite. I too love luxe. Before I invested in my rephr I swore by luxe, Farrah, modsa,; they have great brushes. But my IT cosmetics heavenly luxe completion brush The one that’s a complexion brush on one end and a concealer brush on the other I believe I got that when I ordered from QVC yang!💕🎉❤️🎊 anyways it’s funny that you and I like the same brushes but these days I’m usually sticking to using my rephr’s only. Plus they have such phenomenal customer service hi am just amazed but she colors has great customer service also anyways love your tutorials! ❤️ love 💕 love ❤️ lOVE your 5-7 looks 1 pallet. You are such a dear and so creative and so talented I’m just grateful so thank you thank you thank you you beautiful tall blonde curly haired woman I’m just a little jealous because I’m only 5 foot so you have some characteristics that I would like to have but you’re so sweet oh that sounds stock ration crazy but that’s not how I meant it I just love all your advice and what you share and I’m thankful

Okay Miss Mandy you finally did it!....
You talked me into purchasing a couple rephr brushes...lol
I placed a order for 2 of them the #16 & I believe it's the #1 in the concept store. If these brushes don't make my shadow blend look as good as yours, I'm coming for you..lol jk. The way you talk about those brushes they must really be good & I trust your opinion, you haven't steered me wrong yet. I just can't wait until they get here now. Thanks for the "recommendation".
Edit: I received my tracking number already, I never get a tracking number the same day I order anything, I'm impressed with rephr already. I think I'm going to enjoy doing business with this company/brand. Once again thank you Mandy

The Bronzer brush was still so damn expensive but it was a birthday gift to myself lol but the eye brushes only being $12 for the quality, feel and the fact they are natural hair is SO SO affordable! I'm so happy they do the concept store!

I’m not a fan of Morphe brushes. I think they are poor quality and they are rough on the eye lid. I’m intrigued with the Rephr brushes. I heard they have a sale coming up. I noticed you didn’t mention any Sigma brushes. Do you not like them?

Do you have a comparison between the rephr 16 and wayne goss 20 or the rephr 14 and wg 19? I am trying to decide between those brands for my blending brushes.

  • @kelly82485
    @kelly82485 Před 3 lety

Just go on Amazon and buy brush guards! They are the best $5 I've ever spent! I got 50 for 5$ but I reuse them until they get too stretched out which actually still hasn't happened yet and it's been months. I bought a thing that dries my brushes upside down because I'm paranoid about water ruining the brush so I prefer to have them dry upside down. I bought it for $12 on Amazon. So for less than $20 I got the best things to dry and shape my brushes! Especially having very expensive brushes I want to make sure they last as long as possible! You wash them then try to get rid of as much water as possible with a towel then put the brush guard over them and stick them in the thing that holds them upside down and they are always perfect the next day! (I usually wash at night and let them dry overnight)

Is there a reason why I often see that you use Morphe brushes but not their palettes even though they’re very affordable? It’s definitely not criticism, just wondering what you’re thoughts are about eyeshadows and that brand...

I’m having issues getting a variety of brands where I am (Egypt) so what kind of brush/ material maybe? 😅 there are some fb pages who sell some brushes (morphe, elf, real techniques and bh cosmetics) those pages the people go to the USA or Canada or UAE to buy and sell them here in Egypt online (with quite a mark up)...
