      @@MurrayFrost No problem, I actually came from using the Scarlett Solo 3rd gen and that has 0 latency monitoring but I wanted something that had some software implementation so the Wave XLR was the way to without getting a GoXLR Mini. Once I heard that delay I almost went back to the Scarlett. after playing around for a bit I noticed muting the monitor input and changing the mic/pc mix to that 30/70 worked pefect. Maybe I did something else. You can try it out and if you get the same result. Either way it was an amazing video.

    I am really at a loss right now. I added some plugins in the Wave Link software. When I add the microphone in Garage Band or any other software by "Wave XLR", I record my mic but no plugins are working, no delay. When I use Wave Link Stream instead, I get active plugins, but a huuuuuuge delay. Recording my face with audio is not working with that huhe delay. I also get that delay in live zoom sessions, so that my face and voice are out of sync. What can I do? If I cannot use the Wave Link and plugins, using an XLR mic is essentially useless. But that delay is also not an option.

    All I want is the xlr mic to talk to stream and my headset/mic for team speak.
    I can hear output from team speak but when I talk I hear a slight echo or maybe it's a delay. When I undo monitoring teamspeak there's no echo. I've tried to just use my xlr mic for all comms but if I have teamspeak routed to the wave software there's still a voice echo from me.

So my question is how do I use both the wave xlr for my rode pod mic for when I stream alone, and the wave 3 mic for when my son and I stream games? Do I just simply plug and unplug the other and all settings should stay the same? Or how can I integrate the goxlr mini into this?

    Hello.
    I have purchased a stream deck to go along with streamlabs obs. My question is this.
    Is there a way to play a sound effect on the stream deck and also hear it through my speakers, so that I know it is working, but also have the stream here at the same time without an echo issue. Usually I would play a horn sound. I would not hear it only the stream would hear it. I would have to listen on another device to make sure that the sound effect horn or song is coming through. I want to play a song so that I can hear it while I'm playing it and the stream is playing as well. I want to play it through the computer or through the audio channel so that the sound is clear.
    For instance I don't want to have to put my mic by the speaker as the only way I can hear the audio and the stream here is the audio. The audio would be very degraded that way.
    I want to be able to press the horn button on the stream deck. Hear the horn sound coming out of my speakers so that I know it's working. While simultaneously My stream hears the horn sound as well clearly. Without setting my mic by output speaker which would degrade the sound, and without causing any echo issues.

    Is there anyway with this to rout the Soundsboardfunction of the Stream Deck to Discord, the same way you can with the GoXLR ?

    • @MurrayFrost

      Yll have to elaborate. What’s is soundsboaedfunction?

      @@MurrayFrost Basically, I have my stream deck, and you can create buttons on it and make it a soundboard. Then in StreamDeck settings, I can say that I want it to output the audio through the Music channel in goxlr and then have the music channel go through my mic to discord.
      Can I do that same thing with the Wave XLR ? have the people in Discord hear the ouput of my StreamDeck soundboard

    What's the difference between with Rodecaster pro?

    • @MurrayFrost
      @MurrayFrost  Před 3 lety +2

      So the rodecaster pro has 8 physical inputs with sliders and other great features but without the software. It’s like a watered down GoXLR. The Wave XLR is better than the rodecaster for streaming. The rodecaster pro is better for podcasts.

    I don't think that dual PC setups are that useful anymore, but the lack of I/O is still annoying.

    • @MurrayFrost
      @MurrayFrost  Před 3 lety

      Yeah, if your pc is not that great that would be the only reason to have a dual pc setup but that does put a lot of other problems into the works that you have to figure out.

    Thanks for the review, is having wave xlr enough to replace audio interface + cloud lifter? given that you used it with the SM7B in this video.

    • @MurrayFrost
      @MurrayFrost  Před 3 lety

      No problem and yes. You don't need a could lifter so things are much cheaper now too.

    This software sucks, absolutely blows especially when switching from a GoXLR to this garbage. Nothing works the way it is supposed to, even after uninstalling everything and trying again, especially with Windows 11. I would rather just use a damn garbage headset with a mic at this point. two full days of troubleshooting and not once did this garbage work. about to just return all this crap and try something else.
