- Professional crappie fishing angler and guide Brad Chappell shares his basic set-up for long-lining (trolling) for crappie. The video was shot at Lake Washington, Mississippi, after a prolonged freeze and cold front. Fish were just beginning to overcome their sluggishness due to the very cold water. Chappell's innovative way of tying the jigs on a double-jig set will help ensure free-swimming lines with minimal entanglements. Thanks for the info but I would have loved to hear more. Line length strategies, colors, crankbaits, spacing of poles etc
Brad is a great guide and crappie fisherman!
How would these rods work for spiderrigging
Brad, where do you get your pony underspins?
What is your go-to color? That color you always got to have on a line when longlining?
Great video brother! Miss lake Washington!
I'm considering this next year in February. What size jig head was you using, and how fast were you pulling them?
Brad, is there a calculation I can run to calculate depth? For example if I am running 6lb Test at .9 mph with a 1/16oz Jighead, how deep is that Jig? Does length of line determine depth in terms of how far back the line is? Thanks
Great video!
Good information! And that hum noise...yeah, I know a Frabill when I hear one! 🤣🍻
Good stuff brad
