- In this video I give a full in depth tour of a 1985 Chevy K5 Blazer. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this suv while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this suv designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

ah, the good old k5 blazer, i love them they are badass!!!!!!!!
Even a Mopar man knows how to appreciate a good ol’ K5
Had the time of my life in one of those. Every weekend the top came off and it was full of buddies , beer, and girls. Man if I could only go back !
I'm getting my K5 next week! So excited! 5 inch lift, completely restored, engine rebuilt super clean
This is the best video you've ever made, Kyle! I was not born yet in 1985. So, I love '85 vehicles.
Best truck ever!!!
Don't make me laugh.
Jim Garrison lol
@@jameslandon4126 Don't make ME laugh.
I usually wait until the video is processed but I can't wait for this one, been waiting for it for a while. K5 Blazer is one of the most awesome SUV/trucks IMO
Great video as always Kyle! Those older Blazers are great!
I bought a 1983 K5 in July of 2015. Best truck ever, starts right up in cold temps. Just need to get a new paint job and some minor tlc and its set!
I just got one of these after my step father passed away. Runs and goes well. Needs some work but i am excited to start having it fixed up.
Love it. I grew up with these trucks. My parents had a full size 1983 GMC Jimmy 6.2 litre diesel then a 1986 GMC Suburban with the same engine that we had forever. My father sold that truck for a song and a dance without even letting me know and I'm still pretty bitter about it. You just don't see too many of these anymore.
Your vids are great, Kyle. My 2-year-old son and I always enjoy watching them. Keep up the great work.
Hello, how old is your son now, and are you alive now?😂♥️
i love those seats inside and the truck itself..i wanna sit in it all day and ride and just lounge in it 😉😊
Beautiful. A future classic. Heck, what am I saying?- It already is a classic.
Damn I got me an 89 little over 30 years old. She’s still running good and she clean. Well taken care of
Reminds me of my K5. Had a 4" lift with 33's and hooker tuned headers with 2" dual exhaust. Only problems I ever had with it was... I kept going through U-joint bearings after I lifted it. Unfortunatley I sold it when I became a family man. Then it was mini-van Hell. Can't wait, now that my brood is all grown, to get another toy.
I love this sound. I love this desing. This was beautiful cars. :-)
Picking up one identical to thos this weekend. Can't wait
my dad just picked one up, 12,000 original miles, paints a little faded but this truck is really cool, i hope i he gives it to me when i get my licence in two months
Did ya get it?
He was killed in it.
The One lool he fuckin dead
Fronzilla how
my dad has an 87 k5 blazer with a 454 big block 8 inch lift and 38's..its a beast
I remember by grandpa's K5 Blazer. That thing was awesome! Wish he didn't get rid of it...
First car, drove it around for two years until the damn thing lost reverse on me. Short wheel base, a lot of fun to drive. Was great for plowing in the winter.
My grandfather gave me his '85 blazer about a year ago. :') that is one truck i will restore & never sell.
I always loved 82 chevys
i used to own one of those. god i miss it. i beat the shit out of all my cars/trucks and the blazer loved it. tug of war with pick ups was the best, i would drag em around the lot. even flipped it in a field doing donuts, rolled it back over and drove it home, ran strong for 3 more years of punishment and fun. sold it for a grand still running fine.
Had one just like it. Miss it alot
These trucks are AMAZING!!
no matter what age, for me blazer was and is the best car ever. love my 99 chevy blazer. :-)
Getting the exact truck tomorrow as a first car
These Blazer's are beast and these big old k5 blazer's are built like tanks!
One of my dreams.. ^^
I want it right now
Extremely my dreams i want one
I've got a blue '86 GMC Jimmy. It's a beauty even though it hasn't had any work done on it since the early nineties.
awsome and a awsome sound of the motor
My dad had one of these. He replaced the 305 with a larger engine (can't remember which exactly) and then used it until about 1997. He still had it and this summer he sold it to a friend who is making it into a search and rescue truck for a nearby volunteer fire department. In about 6 years, he'll have the option of buying it back from them. I found the paper work for it, which stated the price for it being $50. XD
What lift and tire size are on that?
My father has a truck just like that except it's my fathers is a 1973 k5 blazer it's lifted and it has a 383 stroker small block chevy and it's got like 400 hp.
That's sick
@@Shoots.Co. it is right”””
So cool!
I love these trucks and the Broncos form the same era.
wow, thats cool! im sorry but i cracked up when you "introduced" the car i think it was the enthusiasm or just because you were yelling :) lol, but as always awesome video :D
This is my dream truck.
Thats a SWEET lookin truck there, there's one where i live & it's in a right sorry looking state but this one is very well sorted, bet there ain't many left in that sort of nick ...
Sounds nice I'm getting on in 2 years
Is this still for sale really like it i have been wonting to get one for a while
@PoliceWillProtect yeah, i worked on the f-series production line, i never touched the bronco, but i do get to test other vehicles before they get sent off to the dealer. I got to test a few broncos in my life. i love these trucks, i have one myself.
u need to find more of the k5's man!!!
7:00 sounds like my 5.3 21 Yukon with the corsa exhaust!
That's a real suv!!!!
i like that white xtreme s10 in the back!
305?
i miss my k5 blazer..:(
my dream truck
So many things remind me of my 78 K5. Yours looks better. Good vid, gonna change my pants.
I'll buy right now
beautiful truck. im buying one the second i get the money
Nice truck
I love the old K5's.
I love how it's a silverado with crank windows, so it has the fancy look but the "truck" feel. pretty rare to see that
Wish the indepth tour was more indepth. What lift is on it?, what size tires?, etc. But thanks for the upload. Super nice
This is a nice truck I have a 86 same colora but in rougher shap as its a northern truck. I mostly use it to play in the mud
Hey kyle nice job on the videos! It would be nice if you could find a 2000-2005 hyundai accent i would like to see more of that car! Thanks in advance!
id kill to find one in this shape too lol
but ive got a Lifted 1985 k20 chevy silverado thats a little louder than this and its in great shape so im pretty happy with that
oh baby someone took care of that pup.
Dang this is a nice truck.
didn't look like the headlights work. love the sound of that engine :)
I remember when my uncle had one of these. I wish he hadnt sold it, I thnk he wished he didnt sell it either.
Phil Wisham Sometimes uncles have to sell trucks haha
Oh wow, that's my dream chevrolet
thanks for video is very interesting, and there is caddy?
very cool, thanks!
I love these vehicles. I have a 1987 k5 that's fuel injected. Can't beat the reliability of a blazer.
You've got to be kidding. "Reliability" and "Blazer" don't belong in the same sentence. Every now and again there were people that had good luck with theirs but by and large, Blazers were very problematic. Out of all the SUV's back in the day, statistically, the Blazer ranked last place just behind the Jeep CJ. Broncos, Ramchargers, Wagoneers, and Scouts were all much more reliable than the Blazer. Read my other post listing some of their issues.
Jim Garrison seriously, correcting people on 'there's opinions ain't showing you as a know it all...
i love chevy but they werent always a picture of reliability
What's the mpg on these things in the city? single digits?
nice watch
my old k5 had a 14 bolt (sf), was the 10 bolt the stock axle?
@ikg2004 there is no check engine light. there is a choke light on the left and the brake light on the right.
I have an '83 K-10 Blazer Silverado edition, 350 V-8, 700R4, 4x4 a lot like the K-5 in this video except for the exhaust! Mine is almost 100% stock (if u don't count the 4" lift, 33" tires and awesome sound system!) my question is regarding the exhaust. just a week ago I "customized" my exhaust....my swiss cheese muffler had become detached from the tailpipe (basically trash and irreparable) so I had the muffler shop cut it off after the cat and run a single pipe, no muffler. saved me 100 bucks! and sounds super! (not too loud).... will this hurt my truck?
+stephaniemebc No, but it won't pass inspection without a muffler.
My dream car 😍
Me to 😍😍😍
I miss my 88 K5 Blazer
I want that more than life!
man i was riding im my friends 2 door jimmy with a lift just like that earlier today
One of my uncles had one of these. His looked much better but I have to say this sounds like...like heaven!
has the odometer been roled over?
Could you upload the vid on the accord 6 mt or mdx. Tonight eithur one
Very nice rig, I was a little dissapointed that it had the 305 and not the 350.
do they do shipping?
@JSneaker I think that truck is carburetored... I think they went to TBI in 86 or 87.
what kind of exhaust is on this? sounds sick!
Hey I might be getting one like this are they good hunting Rigs?
i would die for one of these
Me to
yea I havea 82 k5 had the 6.2 but just swapped for 350 4 bbl holly black white top th350 trans on 35 use it as the family car also have a 91 burban on 40s also a 350 700r4 trans
that car reminds me of Rancher from GTA
what size tires an lift is that?
Hi Mr. Kyle,
Do you mind making a video on the Mitsubishi Montero Sport?
Thx :]
@PoliceWillProtect i agree. But the bronco was more convient, more cup holders, electronic "shift on the fly" 4WD, so know more stopping and putting in neutral, and better quilty materials for the seats ( real leather, not some cheap vinayl). But i do agree, people do fix up blazers more than bronco's. I guess i'm so defensive over the bronco being i work for Ford Mo Co on the f-series production line.
Nice second generation k5!!!!!!!!!!
now im def getting one and putting my 500 hp 5.3 in it
what do you call the 2 door blazers then??
in all due respect yes somebody did take care of it, but if you look at the body closely you can tell that the previous owner(s) did what that K5 was built to do and that was be a versatile off road beast, but yes it is amazing and looks sharp too
Learned to drive in one like that. An 87.
Hey Kyle, can you do a Ford Bronco II? My mom had one and I hardly got to see it. :(
What size are those tires
I believe my grandfather has the same one... He's is currently restoring it...
