  • I've recorded hundreds of remote podcast episodes over the past few years, and good preparation for your guest can be the difference between a killer episode, and one you have to scrap. Let me show you exactly how to prepare your guest for a remote podcast interview.

Do you have a guidance document template you could share as a starting point?

Well, my Prep Doc is a little different in that I don't like my interview to be "too scripted". Therefore, I prepare a bullet-point doc which briefly I discuss with my guest before starting, and be sure to cover any topic the guest wants to discuss. For me, that seems to flow much better and leaves some room for an occasional surprise that usually makes for an interesting conversation!

Plenty of good info for a 1st time podcaster (I am planning one). The plosives are distracting though! 😉

Right? Not a good look to have audio issues for a tutorial about avoiding audio issues 😂
