  • I was born in Montreal, Canada to a Hacidic family. Up until I was three or four years old, up until my parents' divorce, I was raised Hacidic. And afterwards... once my parents got divorced, my mother took me and my siblings out of the city community, but we still remained Jewish.

    Three things stick out for me:
    1- The fact that she considers herself as an ethnic Jew. Such a mature and wise statement. Ethnic identity should never be conflated with religious identity.
    2- Being Muslim makes her a better Jew. I love the logical stepped approach.
    3- The bravery it takes to think deeply, to question and change based on the strength of her convictions.
    May we all be blessed with the strength and power to do the same, in everything we do. I salute you.

Ask any Orthodox jew who doesn't believe in Zionism and he will tell you that a Jew is a person who believes in Judaism same as a person who believes in Islam is a Muslim!. Its got nothing to do with race.

      There's no such thing as a born Muslim we all need to go through our own spiritual journey to actually *choose* Islam just like the reverts'. Cultural Muslim who don't question their beliefs are the ones distorting Islam from inside and giving the religion a bad name. For instance you could find a cultural Muslim who cheats and then the whole religion will be tarnishd because of that. You could find a hijabi who wears the hijab out of cultural obligation , who cannot defend her beliefs then make the religion look oppressive in the eyes of the other. And by the way I am a * born Muslim* by the way who's going through my own journey, just self criticising.

      I hope you find the truth. As for Islam community, I don't know where you live but muslim are pretty much everywhere even though they don't always advertise themselves. I've lived in USA before (I'm not american), and the nearest mosque was just like a house in the neighborhood. Same thing in Australia when I visited. The'mosque' was someone's house donated by the owner to be used as a mosque. Any muslim can come and pray, and contribute (like a donation box) for paying property tax, electricity, water bill, and general maintenance.. There were no signs, no visible people gathering except during friday prayer. But that's it. So, perhaps, there's a muslim community near you but you just don't notice.

I would like to forward it to you but it's in Urdu. If you could ask someone to read it..it is from the Hadis and how a Jewish family reverted to Islam. Some say convert.
    It's when a Jewish woman's baby was crying at night. I couldn't stop crying at how our pyari Nabi was so compassionate to her. I still feel the tears rolling down even when i remember it. Allah is all merciful. I was Hindu now a Muslim. Acceptance with family and co can't understand. I really don't care. I love my imaan more than anyone. To get hidayat is a great blessing.

      Yes, welcome home in islam ! And I can add from my own experience, some family members distance over time but others understand. My family reacted calm, and Allah blessed me with a new family, new cities and lots of new friends. It depends a lot on who you marry which image of islam your family may get. And what education your children will get. So chose s.o.who really matches concerning education. A same or similar cultural background makes it easier on a long run in many cases. Because expectations of both sides are more similar. And each marriage is different. May Allah help us to be good muslims and I testify that life with islam makes me so happy. Lots of years in islam now only added to it. After good years came some trials, then so many happy years following. Be kind but determined whatever happens in your life and try to understand that a war against honesty is going on. We shall be pure and reach out to light and be useful persons giving good example and not be confounded by shameful tricks or behave improperly. The world needs everybody to be a good and helpful person for good. We have to withstand in good. This starts with little things. Don't use ugly words or rotten language. Be kind to your neighbours. For example.

    As a former Christian I always respected Jews because I considered them to be closer to the law of Moses. For whatever reason, Christians generally forget quite a bit even though nowhere did Jesus (as) say to do that, but rather that not a single letter of the law will pass away. When I became Muslim last year I had the same feeling like I was just becoming a better Christian. Those of us who seek to know our Creator and what He commands us do worship the same God. When I heard this sister say that same thing as becoming a better Jew I felt "Yea this is my sister I completely relate to this." Ma sha Allah I'm happy to have heard this story and I'm glad the sister found her way 🥲

    • @jb223
      @jb223 Před 2 lety

      @Cognito Connue 1. Well it depends what you mean by "scientifically prove". Can I 100% scientifically prove that my Apple Laptop was made in a Apple factory? Probably not 100% proof because i would not be able to trace each and every part myself or point out the geographic pinpoint location of the factory...but to a very high,reasonable, logical degree can i show that it is a original Apple designed and manufactured product? and that it has all the hallmarks and signature of a Apple-made product? Yes. So we can reasonably assume to a very high degree it was made in a Apple factory.
      2. Well if Allah is indeed the Creator of the Universe as He is described to be in the Koran of the Muslims then He is the original first cause of everything else that exists. He has no creator because He (always) existed and is outside of Time and Space. 3. Time and Space are His creations. He can influence our material universe the same way you can influence a digital computer game world. Since you are outside of that digital game world that is run on various servers/hard-drives/equipment etc you do not have to actually "be" a computer or a digital entity yourself to influence that world.
      Perhaps the biggest prize we can attain in the life of this world is to know 1. why we are here 2. what to do while here 3. where we are going....and Islam answers those 3 questions with a certainty and rationality that you will not find in other belief system.

    • @jb223
      @jb223 Před 2 lety

      @Cognito Connue
      The factory example is valid because it shows a end-product tends to have a intelligent designer behind it. We are far more complex and intelligently designed yet some people close their hearts and eyes to all the signs in life and think we exist without design or that its all random chance. Science actually proves beyond reasonable doubt that we did not come about without some kind of Creator.
      As i said Allah is BEYOND our Material Universe and is the creator of Space and Time. Big Bang is approx 14 Billion Years ago. Allah existed BEFORE that. Time is relative and Allah owns time.
      The Video game example is valid because it shows even with our primitive technology we can design and host worlds that are materially different from our own, and we the designers or controllers of these worlds do not even have to be made from the same stuff either. Whats interesting is that a growing number of Scientists believe we live in some form of highly sophisticated simulation.
      Allah revealed the Koran to help us prepare for our Judgement Day. Those who refuse to fix up and repent for their misdeeds and reform will then have to be reformed in the afterlife Fires of Jahanam (Hell).
      Allah is not a gamer rather He is the One True God. He says I did not create the Universe for play or amusement (Koran Chapter 21 Verse 6).
      Asking who created Allah is like asking what does the color blue taste like...its a invalid question because a color by its nature has no taste. The Almighty Creator has no creator otherwise he would not be the Almighty Creator. Allah is the first cause of all that exists and there is nothing above Him or before Him.
