He told me "You have a long way to go if you want to make it to the kingdom of heaven. If you want to do so, many things HAVE TO change". He knew what i have to change. I'm still learning what needs to change. I was spared. That night was January 19th, 2011.

I’m a therapist working in the secular counseling world, and I recognized this every thing. All we are doing as counsellors is getting people to worship themselves. Man without God believes they don’t need God and can (in their own mind) be like God. This is why I’m becoming a Christian counsellor! Praise the Lord he is so good!
I’ve been trying to help people for almost 20 years. It’s been anguishing to see that out of all my wisdom and expertise, people have been soothed yes, but not radically changed. See for yourself- psychiatry has been around since Freud and they no psychiatrist has radically changed or healed anyone. Christ has been working in me (and many many other counsellors) to see that only ONE is good. Only ONE can change, help and heal people. I’m a counsellor and could not even heal my own trauma and anxiety. Guess who did? It was the day Jesus saved me that my anxiety went away.

There is no such thing as mentally 'healing' people. All you can do is help people cope. You might think that God healed you, but that is simply an illusion. It's better to rip the bandage off now than to wait for your entire life to fall apart as you desperately cling onto an imaginary deity to help you through tough times.

I grewup going to Church and claiming Catholic and even as a child i felt like something was off. I left when i got older and not until my pastor cousin explained the difference between lnviting God in and just saying I did. He then prayed with me homding my hand and asked me if i would allow God in. I instantly broke down and said yes. Suddenly I had the most Amazing warm and light and peaceful feeling. Something I've never felt while going to Church. I then grew a stronger relationship with him. My entire life changed. ❤

The forgiveness and love of which you speak is Vital, but Loving God is the only thing that sits above that. What is loving God? I think a lot, if not most, Christians don’t understand what it’s supposed to mean. Follow in his footsteps/do as he did. He LOVED and accepted people. He was kind & not judgmental and harsh. He never persecuted others. Greatest commandment… love others. He didn’t slutshame people, he didn’t abuse the homeless (he was the homeless 😂) he wasn’t above others looking down on them. People sure aren’t forgiving… where’s that leave us?
Definitely should be a huge wakeup call for all Christians, myself included, to do a self examination. Are we dying to our selves daily? Are we picking up our cross and following Him? Do we love Him more than husband/wife, daughter/son, mother/father, friends/self? He said His yoke/His burden was light, but He never said the Way was easy. It's a narrow path.

The only requirement for having eternal life is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ (putting our trust in Him alone for our justification). The human heart is so wicked and full of sin, we cannot love God enough, we cannot be perfect, but God loves us so much and send His Son to die for our sins,..Jesus died for our sins and rose again and sit at the right hand of God. We are justified by His blood, not our works. We are created in Christ Jesus to do good works, but good works don't save us, we have to understand this. When the philipian jailer ask Paul how to be saved, all he told him is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Anyone who put their trust in what Jesus did for them for their justification are saved and sealed by the Holy Spirit unto the day of redemption.
Basically the preacher was serving himself with good works. Another definition of this is pride. The Bible said be humble. If you do good works "don't let the right hand know what the left hand is doing." In otherwords.. No record keeping of your good works. No! No! You know this is opposite of what therapist think. Therefore, "guard your heart," our good works are nothing but "filthy rags." I made this mistake in a dream long ago: I found myself in paradise standing among Jesus and his disciples. Someone asked why should I be allowed here? Thinking I must of done something good (otherwise why would I be here) I remembered some particular circumstance that had a positive outcome, and mentioned it.... Jesus angrily turned and said, "I did that!" in a tone and look I'll never forget. Humbly I bowed my head and said, "Yes Lord you did. I never want to take something from you that's not mine." I'll never forget His look and piercing eyes. Honestly, if there's ever a next time my response will be, "Because Jesus loves me and called me here by His blood."
It's funny because we are the soul in between mind and body and Jesus Christ low key told you he implanted those thoughts and you aligned with them to become a willing vessel for him. You the soul didn't do anything but perceive what Jesus Christ was able to do through your vessel after you aligned with the thoughts he implanted. And as the soul in between mind and body I truly believe you were talking to Jesus Christ in that moment, even if most would brush it off as a dream.

I hope this helps… ‘Good works’ is simply acts that would align with Jesus’ heart. It is easy to confuse why you are doing good works. Remember, Jesus wants a personal relationship. Constantly in prayer is a wonderful start. What you do is between you and God. Are you doing good works from the bottom of your heart to truly help / save others etc… or is it for your own (SELF) recognition and salvation from Gods eternal wrath? Or do you do good works to be pleasing to God? Ephesians goes into this topic so read into that book in the Bible, it covers what your relationship with Jesus looks like. Its very scary...even after spending the last year praying every day, trying my best to live better each day, I still fall so very short. I frequently sin and stumble repeatedly. I'm trying my best to follow Gods word but having some difficulties with addiction. I smoke 🚬 and cannot stop. I know I also fall short in other areas Ive tried to stop smoking , but can't. God has changed me in lots of ways. I used to drink and party . I used to be about the worldly things, but now there's nothing more that I want is to be baptized with the Holy Spirit and belong completely to our Lord Jesus and live for him to serve him in whatever he has for me. I'm starting my life of sobriety, first time praying on Sunday night before bed... vision of tendrils or black silhouettes of flames, this I'm unsure of visual clarity as all was black. Then upon finishing my prayer, I opened my eyes and asked aloud "what can I do to walk on the right path?" Looked down and saw a Marijuana vape I purchased, with a red octagon (stop sign) and the leaf symbol. That night, i went to sleep with no dreams... my slumber felt it was only 20 minutes, of darkness. I feel the lord told me the first step is through sobriety. The following evening, I prayed for forgiveness and was shown no evil whilst praying. I can't remember all dreams from that night but I did have peace in slumber once more. ❤Love you Jesus, please forgive me though I am unworthy!❤
That's because salvation is a gift given unto all who trust in the Lord to save them according to His works, not yours. Your works have nothing to do with getting saved or staying saved. We are saved by the Lord, He cleanses our sins, He imputes His own righteousness onto us, He justifies us, He baptizes us with His Holy Spirit, He keeps us saved by His own faithfulness. A child doesn't suddenly become unborn if they live poorly, you can't be unborn from God for Salvation is akin to birth. You cannot earn that birth, you merely receive it through faith/trust. You are not saved by fqith, you are saved by Grace which you receive through faith. You don't make Christ Lord, He is Lord period and you either accept Him or Reject Him. Salvation is by Grace alone through Faith alone, The focus of Grace is Godz not yourself. If your focus concerning salvation is on yourself then you are ignorant of or have rejected the gospel. Good works will not buy you into heaven because if it did then that would make Jesus Christ’s sacrifice null and void. It is ONLY by FAITH and the grace of our Lord and Savior that we are saved. This is something that's a bit "hard" to explain but it's a feeling...but not emotion if that makes sense? You need to have a relationship with him and give yourself to him meaning opening your heart and soul to him to control you in his steps. However you will feel it more when your actions are shown, not necessarily emotionally. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say. Basically it'll be a feeling of peace within, living your life for him and basing everything you do with Him in your mind. Don't always think about the "emotion" aspect because it may take you from the whole experience of being with God and accepting him as you'll be too focused on the "feeling" and thinking, rather than knowing. I think the idea that a Christian works BECAUSE he is saved by Christ is the correct interpretation of James. I think a true follower cannot be a workers fruitless servant. So the fact is this, we are saved through Christ, and because of that, how could we NOT have works?

@sleepwalkingx3 ‘Good works’ is simply acts that would align with Jesus’ heart. It is easy to confuse why you are doing good works. Remember, Jesus wants a personal relationship. Constantly in prayer is a wonderful start. What you do is between you and God. Are you doing good works from the bottom of your heart to truly help / save others etc… or is it for your own (SELF) recognition and salvation from Gods eternal wrath? Or do you do good works to be pleasing to God? Ephesians goes into this topic so read into that book in the Bible, it covers what your relationship with Jesus looks like. Best of luck! Christ has been working in me (and many many other counsellors) to see that only ONE is good. Only ONE can change, help and heal people. I’m a counsellor and could not even heal my own trauma and anxiety. Guess who did? It was the day Jesus saved me that my anxiety went away.

There is no such thing as mentally 'healing' people. All you can do is help people cope. You might think that God healed you, but that is simply an illusion. It's better to rip the bandage off now than to wait for your entire life to fall apart as you desperately cling onto an imaginary deity to help you through tough times.

I grewup going to Church and claiming Catholic and even as a child i felt like something was off. I left when i got older and not until my pastor cousin explained the difference between lnviting God in and just saying I did. He then prayed with me homding my hand and asked me if i would allow God in. I instantly broke down and said yes. Suddenly I had the most Amazing warm and light and peaceful feeling. I think a lot, if not most, Christians don’t understand what it’s supposed to mean. Follow in his footsteps/do as he did. He LOVED and accepted people. He was kind & not judgmental and harsh. I'm starting my life of sobriety, first time praying on Sunday night before bed... vision of tendrils or black silhouettes of flames, this I'm unsure of visual clarity as all was black. Then upon finishing my prayer, I opened my eyes and asked aloud "what can I do to walk on the right path?" Looked down and saw a Marijuana vape I purchased, with a red octagon (stop sign) and the leaf symbol. That night, i went to sleep with no dreams... my slumber felt it was only 20 minutes, of darkness. I feel the lord told me the first step is through sobriety. The following evening, I prayed for forgiveness and was shown no evil whilst praying. I can't remember all dreams from that night but I did have peace in slumber once more.

Good works will not buy you into heaven because if it did then that would make Jesus Christ’s sacrifice null and void. It is ONLY by FAITH and the grace of our Lord and Savior that we are saved. We must believe in the life death and resurrection of Jesus repent of our sins and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

If you are serious then you have a long way to go. It's gonna be you against the world. I recommend you start by exploring other religions. Go all the way back to the beginning of human history. The very, very beginning. A time before any blood sacrifices had ever been made. Then research what purpose the first blood sacrifices served. Pay attention to who made these sacrifices and why they felt that it was necessary. After that, your going to find out what resulted from these original sacrifices. This is before the old testament. Your not going to find this info in the Christian Bible.. Open your mind. No limits. Listen to your heart while researching because "YOUR EAR TO HEAR IS IN YOUR HEART" EAR-HEAR-HEART. NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH LOVE. Never let your HEART alone lead you in relationships with others. What I'm saying is God speaks to you through your HEART. Like when you do things with good intentions, those feelings you may get are of peace... You don't wonder if you made the right decision. You know. No questions about it. There is no immediate reward or nobody clapping or cheering you for you or nothing like that. And you won't be expecting any rewards. Why should you expect a reward for doing what your are suppose to do. You might even piss off the people in your life by making decisions in this manner. But that's kinda what it feels like when your being guided by God. Never do things to get approval from anyone. "WHATEVER is not done in FAITH is SIN"

How do we know that we’re doing the right thing? Some times I fear that I am useless in my walk with Christ, but other times I feel like I’m doing the right things. I just want to please God! I want people to see God first when they see me. 😢
This is something that's a bit "hard" to explain but it's a feeling...but not emotion if that makes sense? You need to have a relationship with him and give yourself to him meaning opening your heart and soul to him to control you in his steps. However you will feel it more when your actions are shown, not necessarily emotionally. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say. Basically it'll be a feeling of peace within, living your life for him and basing everything you do with Him in your mind. Don't always think about the "emotion" aspect because it may take you from the whole experience of being with God and accepting him as you'll be too focused on the "feeling" and thinking, rather than knowing. I hope that helps explain a bit, I feel like I may have made it confusing
