Fumi, when I hit 30 I had nobody, so I said I am going to be progressive and be in control of my own destiny, so when I met a man that I liked, I made the move, my sister thought that was embarrassing, because a woman should not make a move towards a man, but I did, and we have been together for 30yrs, and married for 24yrs, with 3 kids, I had my last one when I was 41, I am 62 now. My girlfriends are single and I tell them don't give up but become 100% whole get to know yourself so when he comes he you know if he is truly for you. Marriage is work and you have to be ready for it, it is worth the wait.

Hi Fumi. I'm 62 and have been been married twice and divorced. First husband cheated and had a baby with another woman during our marriage. I have two beautiful and successful children from that first marriage but I eventually divorced him. Second husband was a homosexual and gambler. God spared You from a lot of hurt. You waited 45 years for God to bless you with a wonderful, bright and humble husband and a lovely child. But yet I am still believing God for the kind of marriage that you have. A true and forever God given spouse who loves me and will care and provide for me, not that I need that, but it would be an extra blessing. Thank you for this wisdom!

Fumi, this advice is so perfect for me right now because I am 45 years old and I have not met 'the guy', I have had health issues because of Endometriosis and Adenomyosis & as such my self development was kept back, I am trying my best to accomplish all my goals, like driving, my fitness goals and also more education as I already have a BA in Business Management & a BSC in Business Computing. In societies like ours, I live in the Caribbean, there can be an emphasis on getting married & having a family at a young age & for women my age who have not done this, sometimes ppl look down on you. They think of you as spoiled, left overs that you really do not want, too old, or that something is wrong with you. This video is great advice for women like me. Thank you Fumi for always encouraging your Fumi Nation & reminding us that we are as fabulous as we want to be. Blessings to you & your family. Love from T&T!

As I continue on my journey in life I try to tell my girlfriends that they should never settle, but be open-minded with men as well. As you pointed out women go looking for men who are the total opposite of what they are and have in life! How can a woman expect that in return when you are not able to give it?? I remember being out of work years ago and felt really uncomfortable dating because I had no real income, but knew I didn’t want a man in the same boat as myself lol! There are men that will date you for who you are, but just keep in mind what you’re bringing to the table as well!

The act of sex releases hormones that creates a bond with the partner. Women are less built for random sex. So although they can do, it is usually slightly more emotionally destructive than for men.
