the thing about this was that Grian has really bad anxiety too, so him pausing to keep his nerves in check and focusing in was serious. when he said he nearly passed out he probably wasn’t joking. legit so proud of him for pulling through, getting a W, AND staying conscious because i know for a fact i would’ve folded in his position
He almost fainted because he stood up too fast. The effects were probably amplified by the nerves but it wasn’t them alone.

I love how grian, one of the least expected people to pvp, always pops off in the tournaments
Imo he's definitely a sleeper legend. He's best known for his building skills, sure, but mans is legitimately good at anything he puts his mind to. Despite having limited redstone training, he's been able to build successful redstone farms on HermitCraft. He's been able to make pseudo-effective traps in 3rd Life. Despite only picking up an elytra back in Season 6 of HermitCraft, he's now one of the best flyers amongst the MCC players. Despite not actively PVPing or practicing it much he's got great enough reflexes that he's able to actively utilize what he has to do some serious damage. He's not a sore loser or a sore winner, and he doesn't try to tryhard MCC and instead is just there to have fun.
I'm glad MCC is making more people slowly but surely aware of just how versatile Grian's skillset is, and how that's an absolutely useful trait.

ive been saying this for so long but grian is S tier, too cracked. Hes a god at building, hes got good survivability and can calm himself down easily so nerves dont handle him and then he just goes and 1v3's Fruitninja... hes also not the worst at pvp too, grian is just all round a cracked player and needs to be seen more by the reddit tier lists

Only reason he isn't top-tier is because he doesn't take it as seriously as other players, but he's quite good.
Others have practiced PVP for much longer than Grian and aren't as good.

I don't think grain is that good at calming himself because MCC 16 dodge bolt he nearly had a panic attack and MCC 17 after he did his legendary TNT play in sky battle you could tell from his movement that he was shaking and couldn't preform as well.
Grian however is definitely a good player and could easily exceed to top tier since he's a amazing strategist and quite a good team leader. He just needs to work on calming himself and id say improve/and have confidence in his movement since i feel like movement is the biggest advantage to be skillful in MCC

Same, I was so anxious that I muted and switched tabs to the mcc live website so I could breathe, as soon as i did the fireworks flew, and it immedietly turned into the excitement for hearing grian's reaction to winning. It did not disappoint and holy crap I cried

I don't normally watch MCC but I caught Grian's stream right at the beggining and watching all the way up till the end was amazing. He was so hyped about being in the top 10 players and then he goes and pulls an MVP game winning 1v3 clutch. What a moment.

I was literally hanging onto my chair while this was happening. When Grian won I nearly yelled but then realised it was 7am and didn't want to get caught. I was so happy for him and his team!
When I watched this from Grians perspective(live) I had NO idea how close those arrows got.
I was holding my breath almost the whole time of Dodgebolt. Grian deserved this win, and those who said that the Pink Parrots were told to miss are poor sports. I would like to see videos of some of the other streamers ' reactions. I know that almost all of the Lime Llamas were streaming (I think fWhip was the only one who wasn't) at the time and would love to have seen Jimmy's reaction.

@@muunii6801 it was so close at times. If Grian had bounced one more time in the wrong direction one of those arrows that almost hit him in the head would have ended it for him. But he was lucky and he and the other orange ocelots managed to get the victory. And I was so happy that at least one fellow hermit was on his team.
This dodgebolt was so awesome to watch, I was rooting for the simmers but i can excuse their loss simply because of Grian’s absolute epicness in that last round.
